Closets By Design

The experience was great from start to finish. Stacey came out, listened to what we wanted from the project, came back with a design that incorporated our needs, and the installers did the work in less time than anticipated. Stacey showed us all the options that might help fit our needs and let us pick the options we felt were right. At no time did we feel pressure to rush into a decision. Once the closet system was installed, it looked just like it was described and accomplished everything we wanted. All in all the experience was great. We would reccommend them to anyone.

THey installed custom library shelves in my living room and it just transforms the room. Great experience.

They came out and gave me an estimate. They were very friendly and very nice. They were responsive and professional. They were on time. I would consider getting another estimate from them in the future.

The saleswoman (Gail) was friendly and seemed to know all about closet design. However, her measuring skills are weak at best She made a huge error in measuring the walls, the installers followed her design, and I had drawers opening into long-hanging clothes! What a mess! When I told her I was not happy she first told me she could fix it (move the drawers over like the original design had indicated) but I needed to pay a few hundred dollars more. I declined. I then spoke with the owner, Eric VanSickel, and told him that I wanted the original design I had signed and paid for and his response was, "I install hundreds of closets each year. I can't possibly re-do every closet." When I pointed out that it was his employee's measuring mistake and all I wanted was the original design, he said he all he "would do is cut down an existing section." No refund to me for the loss of that section, no compensation for the loss of the mis-measured wall, but no cost to substitute my original design? Not at all what I had paid $1,800 for! Needless to say, I will be using a different company to finish the rest of the closets in my new home.

I didn't award the job to them because I used someone that I had used in the past. The experience was extremely good. I was very pleased with their follow up and all of their work. The price was fair. They were very professional.

*****FIVE STAR*****From beginning to end, this was a top-notch project with experienced professionals. We worked with Laura VanSickle and recommend her very highly; however, everyone that we came in contact with at the organiztion from the front desk to the installers were outstanding. The installation was completed over 2 days; they were incredibly good and the home was so clean and neat when the job was completed, you never would have known they had been there. We did get (3) quotations and they all ended up within $200-$300 of each other; Closets By Design was the middle in terms of pricing but we felt so comfortable with Laura and her responsiveness that we selected them. I'm sure you can tell, we are estatic that we did and LOVE the finished product!

I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the cost. I did compare their prices with another company and I'm sure I got a better value with these guys.

Everything was great. They had great products and great customer service.

They were all custom made, as I used oil rub bronze trim, and everything was perfect. The project leader found a mistake after the work was done, which I didn't even see, and they came out and fixed it free of charge. My closets are beautiful. They custom built a bureau to put in, and everything fits and closes just right. It's all very precise. She got perfect measurements to do a perfect job.

They were very professional and had lots of ideas about what we could do. I told them what I wanted and they were able to come up with a good plan for that. They were efficient with their installation. I had to have a small repair done and they came and fixed that free of charge. We got several quotes and they were the lowest. I would definitely use them again.

They were fantastic; a good and professional company. My only concern with the cost for the work so I ended up doing the work myself.

We were very impressed from start to finish. The sales consultant came out and looked at our closet, assessed our needs, and at our request worked up a design and pricing while she was still at our house. She gave us an install date when we signed the contract which was met. A courtesy call reminder came the day before the install. Installers arrived on time, were professional, did a great job and cleaned up before they left. Our sales consultant called us after the install to ensure we were satisfied with the install. Overall we think the system is very good for the price and the service was outstanding.

My husband found them and they had been recommended by our architect, so we didn't interview anybody else. We really liked them. They were really turnkey and they asked what we thought about their design. They made the changes and it went really smoothly. They came down on the price several times.

They were excellent. They were quick and installed it in one day. They clearly knew what they were doing and it turned out perfect. We finished it before thanksgiving.

I specifically worked with Carolyn Palmer, the designer. She was great and I loved the service. Carolyn is very knowledgeable and comes up with a design plan that works for the customer. She is also very responsive and helped meet my scheduling needs. I love the closets I have had done; they work perfectly!

They were great. I liked them because they were professional and punctual. They even cleaned up after themselves.

They are fantastic. They have really great closets and cabinets but you certainly pay a premium for them - it is not a bargain in any sense of the word. I would recommend them not only to my friends but also to my family. I would use them again if I can afford them.

The designer was very prompt for the estimate. Listened to my needs and made suggestions. Helped us make the right decisions on how the design should turn out by keeping it relatively simple (but with enough bells and whistles - especially for the pantry), which helped keep the cost down as well as providing flexibility for shelf adjustments if we decide we need to change shelf height later. We now have loads of extra space in both closets, with more in there than we had in them before! Great, sturdy, beautiful system.

Consultant Stacey Krantz met with my husband and me at our home three times and we visited the showroom once. Stacey asked lots of questions to determine what we were looking for in a home office design -- including what kind of work was to be performed in the space, the number of files, cabinets and shelves that would be needed, etc. Our one requirement was that the design had to incorporate a desk that we already had. Stacey designed an efficient space and created two sets of professional-looking layout drawings. The company has a wide variety of finishes and colors for cabinetry and countertops and we were able to put together a color palette that was complementary to the existing decor. A two-man crew installed the pieces in one day with two follow-up visits of less than two hours to make some small adjustments. From the first meeting to the last adjustment, the process was complete in less than 7 weeks which included the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

They did a great job.They went above and beyond the job to make sure the finished product looked great. They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves.

The design was submitted, altered by me, and accounted for every available inch of space. I was walked through each step of the process, allowed to offer alternative approach and fully approved the plan prior to installation. The installation process was wonderful and the one error made by the installer was corrected at a time convenient for me. The designer came to see the error, and when I wanted to change the configuration of the reinstalled piece, I was only charged for the difference and not for a new cabinet. Lovely work, knowledgeable designer and installer. Wish I had more closets!
