Closets By Design

Prior to closing on my new home, I went to Closets By Design's showroom to look around. After meeting Christa, I was showed to the showroom and was able to browse. I requested to meet with a consultant and Carolyn was available. She came by the home on December 27th. Although I had no clothes in the home, she spoke to me about what I was looking for and I had a list! She took everything into consideration and we discussed options. She even asked me questions that I didn't think much about. I had a few specific requirements and she took notes and made suggestions. She and I agreed that she would measure all the closets in my home because I would eventually be getting rid of all the wire shelving. She and I met in the office after the new year and she had designs for all the closets. I was very impressed at how she accommodated all of my requests and even convinced me to delete a few of my requests after reviewing the design and talking a bit. She was always responsive when I called or emailed with a question. We settled on phase 1, which consisted of the master closet, kitchen pantry and laundry room. The install began on January 27th, with one installer in the master closet. This man was phenomenal. He arrived on time and worked for 8 hours without a lunch. All the wire shelving was removed, the holes patched and I was able to paint them that night. He cleaned up prior to leaving as well. On the 28th, he and another installer arrived on time and got to work on the laundry room. If there was any "negative", it was that the wire shelves for the pantry were delayed and they initially forgot my pullout shelves in the laundry room. But I understand things happen and I spoke to Christa the same day and they were out two days later to put the shelves in. I was initially concerned about the quality of the shelving - my old home had real wood shelves but the product is top notch and I am quite pleased with my closet, pantry and laundry room. I will definitely be using them again for phase 2.

Designer was great, very flexible on design, schedules, and price. Eric (owner?) and Carlos (installer), on the other hand, were extremely rude and inflexible. Carlos intended to install the product with an opening at the bottom of the wall such that any bugs or animals that might be between the walls could access the closets. When instructed to block off this opening, Carlos rudely told me that he wasn't asked to do that and told me to call his boss. When I spoke with Eric, his initial response was a very rude "that's not how we do things". Perrhaps after a little reflection, Eric agreed to block off the opening for an additional fee. When the work was done, Eric and Carlos repeatedly harassed my wife to sign off on the work and make final payment - unfortunately, she was working from home at the time and did not have time to do it. When I called Eric and suggested Carlos simply leave the paperwork at the home and we'll inspect work / send in final payment later, he responded hostilely and started accusing me of failing to pay. It appears neither Eric nor Carlos has any idea how to treat customers. I WOULD NOT recommend using this company.

After meeting their consultant Carolyn Palmer at my home today my only regret was that I did not do this sooner. She was absolutely fabulous. Personable, professional, detail oriented, and refreshingly cost-conscious. She was very detail oriented and honed in on our closet organization needs. She was very upfront about options, the pros/cons and costs of different upgrades, and any small potential flaws inherent in the use, appearance, or installation of the systems. She spent a significant amount of time with me and did not rush things at all. She also did not make me feel the least bit self-conscious about the mess we're currently dealing with. I would recommend her services without reservation. She left me feeling relieved and excited for our new closet. Installation is scheduled for December; so I'll leave a final review then.

We loved our new house, except for the way that all storage areas had all been fitted out with garden-variety wire shelving. This included a large walk-in closet that actually was a bit of an eyesore, wire shelving on every wall. We called for a no-obligation consultation, Gail showed up at the appointed hour; she quickly visualized what the closet could be, and discussed her ideas with us. The design was a bit tricky because the closet is trapezoidal, not rectangular, and because there is a pull-down attic stair which must be taken into account . Before she left, she had measured carefully ("measure twice, cut once," they say), and produced a detailed sketch and a price quote for the closet and a pantry closet in the kitchen. They are busy, and the first available appointment for an installer was three to four weeks out. Rudy showed up, also at the appointed hour, and after about four hours let us inspect the finished "product," made some minor adjustments at our request, had his workspace cleaned up without a trace and was gone! We were very pleased by the process and couldn't be happier with the closet and pantry!

From the initial meeting to project completion everything went according to expectations. Stacey Krantz,our designer, was prompt, professional and creative. She did a wonderful job of explaining the options, process and outcomes. The installer was prompt, efficient and very neat. The finished product exceeded expectations. We are in the process of doing two more closets and my neighbor is having one done as well.

Consultant arrived on time and was well prepared for appointment. Measured and provided drawings for closets within 24 hours - more drawings to follow with estimates.

Kim Linner was the designer who helped with the design for the Master and 2nd bedroom closets because I had no idea what I wanted done. I have never had closets done before, but now I will never not get them done in any future home. She made some really good suggestions that my husband and I were happy to include in our design. I had the pantry redone because I didn't like the wire shelves that bow after a while of sitting things on them. I now have some wider shelves on the bottom and more narrow shelves on the top rows. The more sturdy shelves can now hold small appliances as well. The installer was professional as well, installing the closet systems, cleaning up any mess and asking if I was happy with the result. The entire process was only a few weeks from design to waiting for the factory build of my closet systems and installation. I LOVE MY NEW CLOSETS and we plan to get the remaining closets done sometime next year.

We love our new master bedroom closet system. Can't say enough good things about working with Kim. She came within a few days of my initial call, measured the closet, listened to our needs and then suggested a layout. We talked through several options of number of shelves, bays, depth of shelves, shoe storage and tie/belt storage on a Thursday. She also informed me of specials and the costs (+ and -) of the options. My husband and I considered her plan over a weekend. On Monday she came back and answered all our questions. The installation was done a little over two weeks later in a couple or hours. The installer was courteous, quiet, efficient and neat. I would definitely use them again.

The person designing my closets was Christine, she was a real pleasure to work with. She designed my closets for maximum storage. She priced it out and I was surprised by all the discounts I got and was happy with the quote. We set up a time for installation. The guys came in installed the closets and left the job imaculate I plan on calling Christine in the near future for my other closets.

Within a few days of my initial call, Stacey came out to the house and helped me formulate a solution for all the crafts and clutter we had in our playroom. We wanted a spot for our three kids to do crafts and homework as well as a place to set our large TV for movie viewing and video game playing. We wanted something that looked like it was made for the room but that we could remove one day if we chose. We needed a large work surface and a lot of storage space. We had many specifics such as a need for a place to store the many videos and art supplies we had as well as a spot for a sewing machine. Stacey was great at fitting in all our needs. We ended up redoing the two small closets to add more efficient storage as well. We are very pleased with the look of the furniture and the quality. It definitely looks like it was meant for the space and we cannot remember not having it complete the room. The whole process was easy and well worth the price.

Our experience with Closets By Design was exceptional. It started with Diana Morice. We had a few estimates done for our master bedroom closet, and to be honest, it was Diana who sold us! We really had no clue as to what we wanted, but Diana was able to ask a few questions, get an idea of our lifestyle and needs in a very short time, and come up with an excellent design that far exceeded our expectations. Diana knew we were on a budget for the project and, unlike some estimates you get, had all the options itemized on our estimate. This allowed us to pick and choose what we wanted while staying within our budget. Throughout the process, any changes, questions or clarifications we needed were handled via email. She was prompt and thorough with everything. Diana even took the time to stop by after the installation was complete to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. We were so impressed by Diana that we have asked her to design a custom office desk for our home office. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have a project done. On the day of installation, Ruben showed up promptly and immediately got to work. He was very professional and answered any questions we had throughout the process. He was able to get the entire closet completed in one day and ensure everything was cleaned up when he was done. Also wanted to give some ?kudos? to Ruben as it is the installers, like Ruben, who come in, work hard, show extreme professionalism and courtesy, that in the end seal the deal. We would highly recommend Ruben, Diana and Closets By Design to anyone looking to have a project done.

They told me how I could save money by taking out old wiring myself. They've been excellent! I've had them out twice. They were here on time and cleaned up. I'm thinking of having them out a third time for my pantry. They do great follow up - emails, calls - and I feel very comfortable working with them

Last year we did one closet. The designer was Joyce. After comparing her design and prices with another "closet" company, I decided to go with this company. Last year I was using a coupon in one of the local magazines which reduced the price a little but still their price seems a bit higher than others offering similar services. But the material seems to be better at least based on the samples and pictures I reviewed. I was happy with the work overall. Installation was on time and no issues. I had asked for a larger tie rack compared to the one that the installer brought and Joyce was able to get it worked out over the phone. This year we decided to get the 2nd closet done and without hesitation I called looking for Joyce and didn't try to compare the prices with others. Joyce had to come back twice to discuss the design as we kept on discussing different designs but it was easy to work with her. My only concern that I wanted it done soon but we could not get an installation date sooner than a few weeks out. Anyway, the install was done as scheduled and cleanly completed. Overall I am satisfied with both jobs. Do's: ensure you are really thinking through how you will use the closet once it is completed - so pay attention to design details.

of We worked with Michelle who designed our MB closet. She was excellent providing advice and overall design for our new closet. She listen to our concerns and addressed all our questions. The final design was presented by Michelle after her detailed measurements and discussions with us. We were very pleased with all aspects of this proposal. The installation went very and they were very professional and took extra care cleaning up after the work was done .

Wonderful from the beginning. Stacey Krantz was prompt, creative, and extremely helpful with design and subsequent changes. Victor, the installer was prompt and hard working and installed an outstanding system by himself in one day as I had been told he would. I could not be more pleased with my closet!

2 installers spent most of the day installing 3 closets and cleaned their immediate working areas prior to departing. We were instructed to await 24 hrs before we should sand & paint touch-up. Good, quality work was provided.

Install went fine as they were on time and completed work in one day. Had two small issues that I noticed after the installers had left. Called them and they came out the next day to fix these issues. Going to use them to do one more closet for sure.

This was a superb experience from start to finish. We worked with Stacey. She came out promptly, measured our spaces, sat and discussed our needs and our budget. A week later I went to the showroom to review the designs she had drafted, we made a few revisions, selected the cabinetry, racks, shelving/drawer options, accessories and wood finishes. Two weeks later, the installers came to complete the job. Everything was beautifully built. They paid great attention to detail, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. We could not be more pleased.

The quote was reasonable, I was offered seasonal discounts of which I was unaware, the estimate was completed on time, worker showed up on time and worked quickly and cleanly. I am absolutely pleased.

Over the past few years we have used Closets by Design to provide organization solutions to closets throughout our home. Each project required Stacy Krantz to come to our home and provide a custom design based on the need (e.g. toy closet vs. master closet vs. young daughter's closet, etc.). Stacy is always a pleasure to work with - no sales pressure and each design met the need perfectly. The installation crew was always on time and completed in 1 day as promised. We continue to work with this company and will do so as we finish the rest of the closets and garage in the home. We highly recommend them as you get great value from this company, great service and a high quality product.

Closets by Design was able to send an estimator over to the house a week earlier than expected, which was great. The designer was very professional, knew her product, and was very personable. Closets by Design provided a complete design, with care taken to account for our preferences. The installer came when promised, completed the project on time, and cleaned up all of the old shelving and debris from the new project.

Closets by Design were excellent throughout the entire process! Carolyn was wonderful in her suggestions for what would work best for me as well as in her communication with me throughout the process, before and after. The installation team was on time and very efficient. They were done in less than 2 hours and left the area better than they found it and removed all waste. I am so thrilled with the end result. The experience with Closets By Design was wonderful from start to finish. We had the good fortune of working with Diana Morice, who is exemplary at providing excellent layout design, creative suggestions, and basically leading us through the entire design process. My husband and I recently sold our house and "downsized" into a townhouse; at our old home we had California Closets installed, and I can honestly say that the level of customer service and quality of product that we encountered at Closets By Design was levels above what we experienced with California Closets. Diana was just excellent. Not only does she know her craft but she is also very personable and genuine. I feel as though I have made a new friend! We loved the work that Diana did for us that we are working with her again to outfit a home office. The layout design she provided for the space is perfect and it is expected to be installed early August. Anyone who needs any type of closet or home organizing system should not hesitate Closest By Design. They are great.

Prompt--everybody showed up on time. Efficient--to the amazing level. Flexible--I rearranged a lot of the first plan, and Stacey had creative recommendations when I pointed out my particular needs (and desires). Responsive--when I said the hanging space was too narrow, they immediately made plans to widen it and got it done quickly. I do recommend that dreamers do a lot of thinking ahead, and that they measure the clothes they want to store for both length and width. Pleasant--every single person was a joy to work with. Neatness--super. I do wish it had been a little cheaper, but they seem to have done the best they could with that. Do watch for coupons in home magazines; they honor them without a problem. Most of this was just plain fun.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional and I would definitely recommend them to others!
