So impressed! Sam blew me away with his professionalism and confidence. Everything about his business is PROFESSIONAL. He produces a well-prepared estimate and contract that explains his terms. He even has a great website and domain email address to back up his professional impression. Many (most?) contractors use unprofessional hotmail or yahoo email addresses but not Sam! And he does not have typos on his promotional materials like so many others. All of that shows that he cares about details and knows that it matters. And he really knows his stuff! When he says he will do something, he follows through and does it beautifully! I appreciate that he work on projects hands-on and does not outsource and work "remotely." Plus, he purchased the cans of paint himself and didn't expect us to do so. We're already booking him for other projects.

Excellent job. The cost beyond the big deal offset initial savings. The owner was professional, but pricey. The workers were polite and highly skilled. Aside from the big price bump, I have no complaints. I would consider using this company again.

I really enjoyed this company - the owner, Sam, is very friendly and super responsive which I appreaciate very much. His crew was professional, punctual, polite and very clean - most importantly they paint awesome and on time, my home looks new! i did buy the deal and had to pay extra since my house is a bit larger than what the deal covered. Also, and what was most impressive, is that we picked a gray color that, when on, looked purple and Sam was very good about working with us to correct it. He worked diligently to ensure that we had something that we loved and charged very little (basiaclly cost of paint) extra to change the purple color that made me want to cry (so - do not forget to test your paint and see it in different lights before committing! also confirm if they will use primer or not - that will affect your end result especially if every room is painted something different to begin with). We love the end result and will absolutely work with this company again if/when we have to hire painting help again (they do outdoor as well). Thanks Sam and crew - such a pleasure to work with you!

After I purchased the big deal, Sam immediately sent me a message asking for my phone number so he could call and set up a time to look at the house which I replied to promptly with both of my numbers. He never did contact me. I left him a message which he never returned. I found a different number for him which he answered. He set up a time for about a week later. He arrived on time, and the first thing he said was if I wanted him to use the good paint, it would cost 250.00 more. I said something about false advertising, but I didn't pursue it. He said the repair work would cost 350.00. I think it is misleading to say you are getting the 2500.00 deal for 1300.00 when you have to pay extra for quality paint.

I purchased the Big Deal back in June and I wasn’t able to get scheduled until today (September 16, 2013). When he originally came out to look at the job, he continued to tried add additional charges for several smaller items that he thought wasn’t included. It is a small job to begin with so we declined all additional charges. I called on Friday to confirm the appointment and I was told that they would be at my home between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. I received a call at 8:45 stating that they wouldn’t be able to paint today but could get the pressure washing completed late in the day. They wouldn’t start the painting until later in the week. I didn’t find that acceptable and have asked for a refund.

Sam provided a fair estimate and delivered excellent service. Sam and his workers were very professional. Prep work was done on Monday (9/9/13) and the work was completed on Tuesday (9/10/13). We will definitely call Carolina Painting and Carpentary again if the need arises.

Went excellently, Sam came out and measured and gave us details on getting the paint (Sherwin Williams) afterwards I emailed the color numbers. Only problem was lateness for the first day of painting, they were supposed to start in the morning, then that time got pushed back due to a previous job, and even then they were 2 hours late. However, the 3 painters worked hard...their skill was clearly apparent and they took great effort to move our furniture, and protect the floors. They came back the next day to finish, and stayed over 8 hours. The walls look great. Despite the the lateness on day #1, I highly recommend them. I will be getting another estimate on our kitchen.

I would like to request a refund for the big deal that I purchased on 8/28: Last Chance: $1,499 for Whole Home Interior Painting Including Paint Charlotte Painting & Carpentry, Inc. I have contacted the provider twice (email and phone/voice mail) and I have not heard back from him after the initial purchase of the big deal. For this amount of money paid up front, I would expect more prompt service and communication.

After getting past initial scheduling issues, the 2 guys who actually did the work were excellent. They arrived on time and immediately got started after identifying the wood trim from the plastic trim. They worked diligently, using drop cloths and were careful to protect my property. Very happy with the paint job. They even left me touch-up paint. Apparently my neighbor was impressed, because she came over and asked for their business card. I would have given this company an "A" rating had we not had scheduling issues.

It went very well. Fast and quality service. Professional and kind aproach. We ended up satisfied with the service and would work with the provider again.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! The painters arrived on time and were professional and began work. Then the Owner came about 45 minutes later and said that the $99 Big Deal for a 12x14 room for 2 coats of paint did not apply to this job. He then tried to change me for a large drywall repair that had been done by another company 3 years ago!! Then he processed to tell me that it would be an additional $60.00 which I reluctantly paid. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I feel that he uses the Angie's list as bait then suckers you in and charges you more after the work has been started. After having lunch with my sister, I called him and told him I was totally unhappy with this additional charge. He came back to my house and tried to explain what the overage was for but it didn't make any sense. He said the 12x14 room size was not square feet but each wall measured separately. He said he would write me a company check for the $60.00 but I told him I didn't want the money back since he said I owed it and I DO NOT CHEAT people. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! The workers did a fine job and cleaned up after themselves. However I would NEVER use this company again!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

Flawless experience from initial contact to final completion. Fast and fair quote, very professional and talented team work, final results exceeded my expectations. Overall experience is A++

They were on time. Worked non-stop and did an outstanding job. They asked what I wanted done and they did it. The two men worked quickly and the job is perfect. Base boards, window seals,doors, cabinets, chair moldings, clean up, every thing you could want and done in a very quick time frame.

I originally purchased a Angie's Deal for two painters for a day. Since I knew I would need more than that, Sam showed up and gave me an estimate on the work. He was very professional and gave us some great ideas on how we should go about selecting the colors. He estimated it would take about 3 - 4 days to paint the entire house. We were just moving in, so it was completely empty. His crew arrived on time, and did an excellent job. The first day they came, there was about four people for most of the day. Then around 5:00 PM, an additional three showed up. They took great care when doing the painting. My wife and I are still amazed how they could do the ceiling line so perfect not using any tape. They finished the whole house in two days. We couldn't have been more pleased. We had always done our own painting before, but since this was a new house, we felt it would be best to have it done right the first time. We're glad we did. We would definitely use them again, and refer them to our friends.

Very well done. They were delayed by rain a bit but got the job done. Looks great. Sam is very professional and easy to deal with. Really enjoyed working with him and his crew.

Sam really understands the value of customer service. He and his crew arrived on time and as scheduled. when the first coat of paint started to peel up (because of an old botched paint job, not because of his work), he came back with a sander, sanded down the deck, primed it and started over. He put on two coats and didn't charge me any more than his original estimate. These are really quality people who strive to make their customers happy. We will definitely use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. The deal was only for the walls so I spent another $100 for the trim and the ceiling. They were great. They showed up on time and got right to work. They finished quickly. The work was very good.

They did an excellent job. They were considerate, professional and extremely careful with the surrounding area. Afterward, the only way I could tell that they had been there was that the deck was stained beautifully. Sam came by the next day and returned my patio table and glider on the deck. I highly recommend Charlotte Painting & Carpentry.

This one was really great. The timing was perfect for me to have the work done. I was able to get quite a bit done under this deal. They were able to get all three rooms I wanted painted done in the timeframe. They did show up late the scheduled day but came the next morning to finish.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service. It was a good experience and the painting job was great. They took a lot of time and so I guess the quality of work was good. I thought the pricing was a little bit high.

Painting was well done, some spots missed but easy enough to fix. They even pulled out there refrigerator and oven. Nice because there were not left over drips and paint on floor, counter tops or ceiling fixtures.
