Fantasic. The crew made sure everything was covered and protected from the paint. When they were done, everything was cleaned up and you couldn't even tell they were there, except for the beautiful new paint.

I contacted several painting companies for estimates (including some who do painting as side work) and Charlotte Painting and Carpentry was the best priced as well as uses better paint. Most painters quoted Sherman Williams ProMar 200 which is contractor grade while they used Sherman William Cashmere, a retail grade paint that ended up looking very nice. When I contacted the owner/CEO Sam, he scheduled an appointement to take measurements and was very prompt and detailed. He did not limit me on the number of paint color I could choose and was very flexible with our schedule. The date of our home closing was changing day-to-day and Sam was able to work with us and when we said GO!, he had his workers there to get started. The workers were efficient, took down every impediment (outlet covers, blinds, mirrors, etc) instead of just painting around them. When the work was complete, Sam performed a walkthrough with us to verify we were satisfied with everything. All and all, they did a terriffic job, were flexible not only with our dates but also with us moving in around them, and were priced very reasonably. I plan to recommend them to my neighbors when they move in!

Sam is a dream to work with. He is always professional and polite and knows his stuff. His crew works quickly and neatly and does a great job. I quickly learned that I could trust Sam when it counts. We first hired him to repair a water stain in the foyer from a roof leak (after the leak was fixed, of course). I was nervous because it required replacing drywall. The drywall repair was seamless and the paint job was flawless and no one would ever know there had been a leak! After that they repaired the drywall in the kitchen, painted and removed an unnecessary old vent for the stove that was hidden behind the old microwave. After they fixed the walls inside and outside, you would never know that a vent ever existed! Their work significantly improved the look and security of the house and we have hired them for other work since then that included molding work in the kitchen. We will call on them again for future projects because we know that we can trust them.

We bought a "Deal" from Angies list. When we first contacted Charlotte Painting, I could sense that Sam was a little overwhelmed with the response from Angies list customers. However, once we established a day and time, I couldn't have been more pleased. Sam's crew was extremely pleasant to work with,very neat and careful. They were fast and efficient and if i had a question, they were quick to respond. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Setting up the appointment took awhile because it was all done through email, so required several emails back and forth before we found a time that worked for both of us. After that though, everything went well. They arrived on time and did a great painting job. In one of the rooms, we had one wall painted a different color and they did a good job with the lines between the colors.

Very satisfied with overall experience. Our project was 500 sq. ft. larger than the promotion. Our measurements matched theirs exactly. Their honesty was obvious. Slightly disappointed that there was a significant price increase for upgrading the paint quality, but it wasn't a deal breaker. At the end of each work day, they left our home clean and tidy. We would use them again and recommend their services. Thanks to Sam and his employees.

His services were arranged through a Angies List "Big Deal" for $1499.00. Based on the poor quality paint used in the prior job, he did recommend an upgrade in paint for this project which cost a bit more. All major furniture was returned to their original location but I did have to move smaller items back. However this allowed me to straighten things out that were a mess before they came to do their work!

Sam and his team provided excellent service. Pressure washed and repaired and stained deck. Cleaned all the remaining pieces after the work is completed. Great teams. Sam personally visited few times to watch progress and completion of job.

VERY PLEASED with the service. There was a bit of delay due to the large amount of rain we were getting, but Sam kept me up to date and was very responsive to any of my phone calls. They did a very good job! Sam (the foreman) was very courteous and his the painters were very respectful, careful and polite. I was very impressed by the job they did. No spills, splatters, etc. There were a few very minor touch-ups that needed to be done, but they came out immediately to do them (after they had already been paid in full). I will definitely be using them in the future for all my painting needs!

Sam and his workers were right on time and started working immediately. They moved all our furniture and took down all the heavy pictures. The covered all my beongings with plastic and all the floors with canvas. These guys were professiional, hard-working, QUICK and did a GREAT JOB!! I will be calling on them again for my kitchen and bedwoom!

Another great experience with Charlotte Painting and Carpentry. They did an excellent job removing old wallpaper in my bathrooms and painting.

I wanted to retain the curves in the deck rail because that ia a charming feature. Sam told me that the current curved rail could not be repaired. It needed to be replaced. He said he could do curves. He told me he had to check at Home Depot for some prices and he would get back to me with an estimate. After more than a week and no estimate, I called Sam. He apologized for not getting back to me and said that he was still looking at prices. Another week plus has gone by and no estimate. If he did not want to do the job, he should have said so, instead of letting a customer dangle. 10/27/13 This is an update since my last review of Charlotte Painting and Carpentry. Sam sent me an email the day after the 10/16 review posted. He said that he had sent me a previous email with an estimate but I had not received it. He did attach the previous email, so I see that one was sent, but it did not go into my Spam folder, which I carefully check, so it must be out in Cyberspace. Sam's estimate seemed reasonable and I will continue the project with him 11/16/2013 Update Charlotte Painting and Carpentry refinished my deck rail. So far, I am not happy. The two painters stained items on the deck that were not part of the railing. They seemed to have rushed through the job and not let the first coat of stain dry properly. There are crinkles and bubbles everywhere and, one day after "completion," parts of the rail are already chipping. They also did not use wood filler on obvious rot and holes, plus they got stain all over my composite deck. Right now, the rail looks bad. I am going to give Sam a chance to fix these problems. Stay tuned. I will provide another update. 01/06/2014 Charlotte Painting and Carpentry finished my railing in November. Sam was very responsive to the problems showing up on the rail. They used a wood filler that was incompatible with the stain I choose, and they had to refill with a different product, sand, and restain. The weather did not cooperate, so this took longer than planned, but the railing looks good now. 03/12/2014 Update I spoke too soon. The finish on the railing has begun to bubble up again. It will be cracking soon. This company may be OK for painting walls and woodwork, but they really don't know how to handle deck restoration. I'll be getting out the sander myself.

I was so happy and impressed with the job that Charlotte painting and carpentry did at my home. I considered this to be a large project which included completely painting the interior main and second level of my home. The guys worked consistently and productively not taking any breaks other than lunch. They were so considerate of me and my dogs during the week they were at the house. Sam was such a pleasure to work with and all during the project he was available to me and the workers. I found the whole experience to be much easier than I could have imagined. When the job was completed the guys moved the furniture back in place and rehung items on the walls. They also took great care to clean and touch up any areas that needed attention. I will definitely use them in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

After some initial phone tag in setting an appointment, Sam contacted me and set a date for service for the following week. He called that morning to say he'd be a few minutes late due to inclement weather. He and Elias arrived and immediately went to work giving a bedroom two coats of paint, and they finished approximately three hours later. Both did a fine job of painting. The work was neat, fast, and no-fuss. Sam is very personable and polite. I would definitely hire this company again. Painters were good and punctual. They did a great job. However, when I referred them to a friend to paint the exterior and potentially the interior of their home they were late and never provided a written estimate. This lack of management follow-up bothers me and frustrated my friend. I would be skeptical in the future due to this attitude.

They were on time, both of them, and worked diligently throughout the day. they did a very good job, but seemed a little slow about it. I would have thought they could have finished a little more quickly to get to some additional rooms, but...that being said, I am very satisfied with the work they did and they had a lot of patience with us and our color choice. very very nice work!

Excellent! ! The owner came with the painters at the agreed on time. He went over the job requirements/expectations and relayed them to the painters. He then left. but he caled back mid-morning to ask if everything was progressing properly. After the job was completed, he came back to check the results.

I appreciated that Sam was willing to postpone the deadline and kept in personal contact with us. he was very clean, cordial and expert in his work. I'd use him in a minute.
