The project went great! We wanted to duplicate our old deck, with a few minor changes. Jeff & Ben made great suggestions to make our deck look even better. They consulted us about every detail if an unexpected change was necessary. Ben & Jarib did most of the work and they were prompt and worked hard every day. Jeff made regular trips to check on the progress of the deck build. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the workmanship. We got bids from 2 other providers before selecting Charlotte Decks & Porches. Jeff was the only one to provide us with three options for our deck project. Not only was his price the best, the scope of work was greater and the quality much better. It was a no-brainer to select Charlotte Decks & Porches. Jeff and his team are great to work with.

Jeff and his guys were a pleasure to work with throughout the estimate, design, and build process. They were on-time, professional, and went out of their way to explain how the job was going and kept us up to date and informed on the schedule and project timeline. Charlotte Decks & Porches, LLC did an excellent job on my deck. Jeff Waldren, the owner was on vacation when I sent a request for an estimate. While he was away he returned e-mails and set up an appointment for when he returned. The estimate was not the lowest or the highest but I felt good about Jeff and how he handled his business. He sent an estimate and contract the day after looking at my old deck. I was pleased with his friendly crew, the workmanship, the timing and the clean-up. During the process the lumber company sent the wrong grade of decking and the crew had screwed down a small portion of what was sent. It was discovered that it was not the high grade Jeff had quoted and he immediately let me know. The lower grade of decking was removed and replaced with a number one grade. I really appreciated Jeff?s honesty. The deck turned out great and cost was the same as the estimate.

Jeff Waldron is the owner, and he is wonderful to work with! He communicated with me regularly and made sure things were done as efficiently as possible. Several rainy days delayed the work, and he was so apologetic that they ran just a little behind because of the weather. But when they were here working, boy did they work! Ben and Jarib did much of the labor, and all of the sub-contractors who work with Jeff were efficient, polite, and very hard-working. I love my new porch--you will not regret choosing them to do the work for you! They are much more personal and engaged than the "larger" companies in the Charlotte area. I tried to reach a couple of them before I called Jeff, and I was frustrated and irritated by the lack of return calls . . . and many of the people I spoke to on the phone at these larger companies were rude. What a breath of fresh air to work with someone who actually cares about each individual client. The price was fair and came in lower than one person I spoke with initially. I'm a very detailed person, and I am thrilled with the care and attention to details they showed on my deck. Please give them a call--you'll be glad you did!

I am very pleased and impressed with Jeff Waldron and Charlotte Decks and Porches. Jeff responded promptly to our request for an estimate. He showed up when he said he would. The estimate he provided was thorough, detailed and easy to understand. He gave us a choice in the quality of composite decking. We found his price to be very competitive. His crew showed up when they said and were very professional. The work was completed in less than a week, including both demolition and rebuilding. Jeff was in frequent communication with us throughout the project. The job site was thoroughly cleaned up when they finished. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The end result is not just a new deck, but one that is of better construction, better materials and superior appearance vs. the original one. They used high quality products, like commercial grade lumber and the SCREENEZE system. His team ("shout out" to Ben & Jarib) were punctual, friendly, hardworking, knowledgeable, detail oriented and always left the work site clean at the end of each day. An all-around great experience; we would use them again.

Jeff and his team were professional, punctual and responsive from beginning to end. After a meeting to review our request, we quickly received a competitive bid and Jeff''s team did the rest. Once they got started they quickly worked through the process - including the proper permitting. The crew was friendly, but respected our privacy and always left a clean work site at night. Weather was an issue during the build, but they let us know via email each morning when they were/were not coming. We are very pleased with the final product and would use Charlotte Deck & Porches in the future.

I have been an Angie's List member for many years because of past negative experiences. I refuse to contact any company before checking out their reviews on this site. Most of the time I am satisfied with the contractors and the work done. This time we were in desperate need of a new deck. The one we had built years earlier (without Angie's List) was literally falling apart. Several contractors came out to give quotes for the work. We knew it could be very expensive since the deck was second-floor and very large. I was impressed with Jeff of Charlotte Decks & Porches, LLC from the first time we spoke. He contacted me very quickly to schedule the estimate. From that point forward, the entire process was as painless as it could possibly be. We were given a very specific written description of the work to be done along with a reasonable price. We were told when the work would begin and approximately how long it would take. EVERYTHING we were told became a reality. We are thrilled with our new deck! It has been several months since construction was completed, and we have NO complaints whatsoever! The deck is gorgeous! The workmanship is top-notch, because this company takes pride in the work they do and the men on the crew are true craftsmen. It means so much to come home at the end of the day and have this beautiful STURDY deck that was built EXACTLY as we were told it would be...the first time...with no headaches! We had three different quotes for this project. Jeff's quote was fair - comparable to others - but from the beginning his knowledge and expertise helped us to design the perfect deck for our space. The work was done on time without any issues, and the two men who helped to build the deck were professional and polite. We never had any issues from beginning to end. The design we were able to complete is perfect for our space, we could not be any happier with the result! Would recommend this company in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed.

I had four quotes from different contractors. Jeff's quote was very good. He listened to what I wanted and was able to build our porch from rough plans. His knowledge and expertise helped trim cost from the project. The two guys who built the porch were so nice, polite, and punctual. I felt comfortable with them - so professional. The work was done on schedule and completed when he estimated. We absolutely love our porch! It is very large (16' x 20') and is detached from the house with a connecting walkway. I love his aesthetic - the proportions are 'just right'. He communicated with me very frequently and came evry few days to check on progress as well as to talk to me about any concern or deciscions. I feel that the cost of the porch was very reasonable for the time and quality of the work. They only do decks and porches which shows in the attention to detail and construction quality of the finished structure. I HIGHLY recommend this contractor - he is honest, reliable, and does excellent work.

Jeff and his crew do an amazing job. From the first point of contact, Jeff was punctual, followed up on every question in a timely manner and did a great job conveying what the job would entail. He was willing to tweak things along the way so it wasn't that we couldn't change our mind on details as the job progressed. The quality of the work performed is of the highest standard. This isn't some porch that was tacked onto my house over a weekend. The porch is incorporated into my home as if it were part of the original plan. The porch is roughly 15x18. Old siding was cut away to where new flashing was installed so that the porch truly is one with the house. Yella wood was used throughout the project and all other materials were of the highest quality. The porch incorporates a cathedral ceiling and the roof utilizes architectural shingles to avoid any significant chance of leaks. All fit and finish was done such that the trim and siding on the porch match the rest of my home. Eves cannot be distinguished from the ones on the rest of my home. As a whole all of the work is top notch. We couldn't be happier with the result and will use Jeff and team for any similar projects down the road.

Jeff was just great. He had a lot of patience as we redesigned the deck several times. His recommendations/suggestions were spot on! His crew did a great job and our deck is probably one of the best finished decks in our neighborhood of recently built homes.

They were very professional, punctual and neat. They were super polite, super nice guys. Even though they were working outside, they cleaned up after themselves every day. They took a lot of pride in what they were doing. Jeff was over here everyday checking on things, and he stayed in touch with me.

Jeff was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He listened to our desires for design and provided a design estimate within a few days. Jeff also reached out to his network of contractors for aspects of the project that were beyond his scope of work so that we could get a full picture of the work we wanted done. We changed direction on the design and scope of our project so ended up using a different contractor but I would recommend Jeff!

We are kind of still in communication with him. His estimate was $30000. Another company was considering only the complete replacement whereas he was willing to work with us in doing the renovation to help cut the cost. It was a free estimate. So far, everything has been great.

Jeff and his team were great to work with. Jeff was especially flexible in helping to design and build our screened in porch with the Eze Breeze screen system along with the attached deck that utilized Trex flooring and a sleek cable railing. He was very responsive to our requests and did a great job incorporating the features that we wanted. Jeff was also very honest and fair in both his work and his pricing. He worked very hard to make things right to meet our requests. The final product turned out great!

Jeff came by promptly after our inquiry and looked at our existing 3 tier deck (750sqft). He provided some recommendations on reconfiguring our top tier deck and on decking material. After making a decision on material and layout, Jeff provided a timely quote (next day). We received a few quotes and Jeff's was fair..not the cheapest but definitely not near the most expensive (Archadeck). Jeff came out with his crew, re-framed the top deck, and then installed the decking, rail and lighting. Jeff and crew did an awesome job on the deck. We are very satisfied on how the deck turned out. Jeff was extremely responsive throughout the whole install, taking the time to answer all our questions. We would not hesitate using Jeff on expensive composite deck installs going forward.
