The work performed was excellent and the team was very punctual and professional. They only spent two days onsite, and were very good about cleaning up the worksite at the end of each day.

I called CertaPro painters after attempting to remove wallpaper in my hallway bathroom a few weeks ago on my own. I generally like to do things myself around the house but a few hours into this project I realized I was WAY over my head needed some professional help. After reviewing other Angie?s list companies I chose CertaPro because they had the most reviews (all positive) on wallpaper removal so I called to get an estimate. Boy was it the best phone call I ever made! Joe Cardone called me back promptly and he met me the next day for an estimate. He explained the entire process and gave me a reasonable quote for such a small job. I was worried that it might be difficult to schedule the work since it was such a small project, but Joe was up front with me and told me he would try his best to meet the my demands (I had friends visiting in a few weeks). Not only did he meet my demands, he later called to tell me one of his crews opened up and he could start on it the following Monday. The crew arrived on time Monday and began work immediately. It took the crew most of the day to remove the wallpaper and then apply the joint compound to all the nicks and seam joints. The following day the paint crew showed up on time and began working. It wasn?t long before the crew noticed that the joint compound had not dried sufficiently from the previous day, so instead of continuing to just paint over it and let me deal with the results later, they explained the situation and told me they would have to return the next day to finish the painting. I thought this was a great example of the commitment to excellence that Joe and his entire crew has, as they were not consumed with getting the job done quickly and moving on to the next one. They wanted to do the job RIGHT and if that took an extra day, then so be it! So the next day the paint crew showed up on time again and finished painting the ceiling and walls. The bathroom looks amazing and I could not have been happier! Another example of Joe?s commitment to excellence was a few days later when I started to put things back into the bathroom. I started to put the bathroom fan cover back on the ceiling and after doing so I noticed that the hole was now bigger than the cover so evidently some drywall came down when the crew was scraping the popcorn off. I hated to call Joe back but I had no idea how to fix it so I called and he immediately sent one of his crew members to my house to fix the situation, which he did with amazing results just like the rest of the work that was completed. I called Joe back again later and told him that I was ?officially? retiring my paint brush and I will never attempt another painting/wallpaper project on my own since I have experienced CertaPro?s professionalism and high quality of work!

Joe was very professional and well organized. His attention to detail and follow-up were excellent. His painting crew, led by Flavio, did a very thorough and excellent job. We are very pleased with the results and would definitely hire them again.

The master bedroom was probably a standard job for Certa Pro. They completed it in one day and it looks great. The master bathroom was quite a challenge. It had been remodeled, but not all of the drywall needed to be removed. After Alex painted, quite a lot of bubbles appeared on the walls. Our house is 22 years old, so the cause was unclear, though it could have been due to wallpaper originally on the walls. Joe made it known that Certa Pro would stand behind the work and correct the problem, no matter what it took, regardless of the underlying cause. Joe worked with our contractor and Sherwin Williams to determine what might be causing the bubbles and how to correct it. We were concerned that we would have to remove the drywall, but all parties agreed that it was fixable. The fix involved priming and sanding multiple times, and then re-painting. Alex fit us into his schedule, working late to complete the job. After he finished, it was like the bubbles never existed. I believe that many painters would not have gone to those lengths to make sure we were satisfied.

They painted several interior rooms and did carpentry work/painting on the outside. The work was done extremely well and Joe and the crew were extremely professional. Definitely would use again.

I learned about Joe Cardone and CertaPro Painters of South Charlotte as a result of their sponsorship of The Big South 5K Race in south Charlotte. I checked CertaPro out, along with several other painters, on Angie’s List. CertaPro’s reviews were very strong and I decided to contact them first, which turned out to be a great decision. Joe is very professional and a very effective communicator. He efficiently coordinated the painting of the exterior of our home, the replacement of some rotten siding and arranged the replacement of three windows through a sub-contactor. His lead painter, Alex and his crew of painters were a delight to work with. They were very professional and hard working. They also did some excellent interior touch up painting. I was out of town during much of the time the work was performed, but Joe kept me consistently and completely informed. The total cost of our project was approximately $5,000, and in my opinion well worth every penny. I have strongly recommended Joe Cardone and CentaPro Painters to everyone in my neighborhood association. I would also urge anyone who checks Angie’s List to contact CentaPro of South Charlotte about their painting needs.

CertaPro had painted the interior of our house in 2009 and based on that experience we knew that we wanted them back to paint the exterior. We talked with Joe (owner) in late June for an estimate and he originally planned for the work to start in early August. He wanted to give us the same crew supervisor (Alex) that had done the interior of our house. The work was delayed until September 12 due to Alex being assigned to a large commercial project. Joe kept in touch and let us know that the schedule was dependent on Alex's availability. Our timing was flexible so we were willing to wait. They started work on Monday and were finished by Wednesday evening. All surfaces were pressure washed and several areas required new wood and carpentry. CertraPro makes sure that the prep work is thorough so that he paint will last. They did an excellent job, just as they had done with the interior. Alex makes sure that the owners know what work is being done and what was completed that day. The house looks great now ... inside and out ! I would definitely recommend this company for any of your painting needs.

I've known about Joe's business for several years. I finally gave him the opportunity to paint the wood trim on my home. Although $2200 may sound like a lot for just trim paint on a brick ranch, his price estimate was about $1000 less than the other two estimates I received. Part of the price difference is that Joe didn't try to sell me other services I wasn't looking for, such as painting downspouts (but his crew did clean them as if there were painted). I found Joe (the owner) to be direct, punctional and matter of fact. No BS going on... He was able to accomodate my request to do the work while my wife was out of town, which is notable because he had less than two weeks to make it happen. Fortunately, one of his other customers needed to defer the work so it really worked out for me. His crew of 4 came in and got the job done in less than 2 days work. There was a minor rain delay both other than that they were professional and did not waste any time "goofing off". At the time I didn't mention it but... they also pressure washed my deck... even though the deck was not to be painted or treated. Overall, I was VERY satisfied with the crew, Ricardo the crew chief, and the overall experience from start to finish. I would definitely call CertaPro again for my next paint job. Excellent VALUE!!!

This project went better than we could have ever expected. Joe's team showed up when they said they would, were very courteous and professional. This type of job can be very messy, but the CertaPro guys did a great job of masking off everything and minimizing the mess. They also cleaned up areas where work was finished each day before leaving. Joe cane out and inspected the work a couple of times and then with us at the conclusion of the job. The results were nothing less than professional. I was afraid we might be able to see some remnants of the old ceiling, or the drywall seams through the paint. Well, we can't and we're pretty picky. Bottom line, we chose CertaPro because of their A rating on Angie's list and could not be more satisfied with the results. We are having them back in a couple of weeks to paint our master bathroom once the remodel is complete.

Joe responded to my initial call very quickly and arranged a meeting to prepare his estimate. The conclusion of that first visit was the presentation of his proposal and a thorough walk through all the steps they would take, as well as the repairs that were needed. He described his work crew, their experience, and gave me references. We were very clear about the need for them to avoid dropping paint on our copper roofs and a newly stained deck. Both items were written into the proposal. Once we decided to engage CertaPro, it took quite a while to get the work scheduled because of the hot summer weather; however, that was not a problem, since we had no deadline for completion. When his crew showed up, the supervisor went over the proposal with me to ensure both of us were clear on the work to be done. When discussing the garage door trim repair, he clearly explained how he would accomplish that, and his way was better than I had anticipated. He suggested adding PVC at the base of both doors, using it like molding. This gives us better protection against the water that accumulates there during hard storms. Total work time was about 2 1/2 days, after pressure washing, and the work went just as planned. The supervisor was on top of the work, and was on the site quite a bit. His crew worked well, and they were careful to clean up after each day. No paint on the copper roofs or deck - very nice! The supervisor communicated clearly, and at the completion of the job, took me through all the repairs. Based on this experience, I would definitely use CertaPro again.

Joe and his crew always do a very professional job. Joe comes first to give the estimate and tells you everything that is involved in the project. His crew shows up right on time on the scheduled day. They work quickly and professionally, never leaving a mess. The price is right. Joe gives a break to Angie's List customers. You can't go wrong with this guy. He is my go-to painter.

I think this is the fourth or fifth time we have used this company, and we have never been disappointed. Joe worked with our schedule to come out for the estimate after hours, gave us valuable recommendations about what work should and should not be done, and worked with our schedule to perform the work. The team was very courteous and professional, pressure washed and prepped all areas before hand, identified and replaced rotten wood at very reasonable prices, and did an excellent job on the painting itself. Above everything else, the foreman helped my wife get her father into her car and en-route to the emergency room after suffering an accident in the house, breaking his wrist. The guys were great, were courteous, and did an excellent job. This is why over and over, we keep coming back to this company.

Joe came out within 24 hrs. of my call to give me an estimate. He told me he was running a few weeks out for jobs, but I was not in a rush so that was fine with me. He called me each time he had an opening and the job was completed in a reasonable amount of time. The crew was effecient and professional. I will use CertaPro in the future.

This is my third time using Joe and Certa Pro of South Charlotte, they have done two interior rooms for me. Joe was timely with his estimate, and scheduled us in to our convneience. Alex and crew did an excellent job on both carpentry and painting. There was even more rotted wood than indicated in the estimate, but with a modest add-on charge, they shored up my front portico which had pillars which were badly rotted. Great attention to detail in prepping ceiling and walls. Took care to cover furniture and screen off kitchen with plastic. They did a great job of cleaning up each night. Excellent job. I would use them again.

CertaPro was extremely responsive from the very beginning. Estimate was right on target. And they were able to start the job quickly and finish in 3 days. The 5-man crew was very experienced and worked together seamlessly - it was obvious they have been working together for a long time. They were very careful with our furnishings, moving heavy items and thoroughly covering everything. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. Also, very quiet and polite! We work from home and we hardly knew they were in the house! Alex, the crew supervisor worked with us to set the work schedule - what rooms to paint first - so that we had minimal disruption. We needed the kitchen on Friday afternoon to prepare something for an evening function, so the crew completed the kitchen the day before for us. CertaPro also offered a color consultation with an interior designer as part of their service and this was extremely helpful! We are very pleased with every aspect of this project - our home looks great, the price was fair, and CertaPro was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Joe, the owner, was very actively involved in all phases of the project from the original estimate to the post-job follow up. Joe is very knowledgable about his work and patiently answered all of the questions I had about the job. The paint 4-person crew was prompt and professional throughout the 4 to 5 days they were on site. I had no concerns or reservations about them being at the house, even if I wasn't there. The crew leader Alejandro was very thorough in his assessment of the what needed to be fixed/repaired on the house in advance of the painting. I was very satisfied that he fixed everything that he found...I suspect others may have opted to just "paint over" some of the hard-to-reach rotten boards that absolutely needed to be replaced. Certa completed the job on time and addressed all of my mid-job requests without any reservations. I would highly recommend Certa Pro South Charlotte for exterior paint work.

Joe was very easy to work with. He was very flexible with the schedule and was willing to reschedule day of when we had a sick child. His team worked quickly and was very nice.

The entire experience was outstanding in every aspect. People showed up when they committed to show up; proposals were prepared and delivered promptly; the work was of very high quality (I could not find even one stray paint drip on the brick walls, sidewalk or driveway!); workers were courteous and professional; and a follow-up call to address a small problem on a garage door panel was handled with aplomb. The owner, Joe Cardone, called and visted the site a number of times before, during and after the work was performed and was not satisfied until I was satisfied. The total cost of the work was very reasonable and was very close to the original estimate. We could not be more pleased with Certa Pro South Charlotte!

This was a fantastic experience! Joe was thorough in his quote (which included both painting and some repairs). He really listened to what we wanted and even offered suggestions for us to consider to improve the process and keep costs down. He was accessible, responsive and extremely easy and pleasant to deal with, during the entire process. Alex and his crew arrived on time, exactly as promised. The prep work was incredible! Our home is 18 years old, thus we have had it repainted a few times. However, we have never had a crew do such a thorough job of prepping the house and making necessary repairs to warped or water-damaged boards and sills. His crew spent an entire day on prep work alone--a major plus in our book! The crew was efficient and focused. They took care to keep the worksite clean and protected our landscaping--no trash to clean up at the end of each day, and no broken shrubbery or trampled plants! The quality of the work is excellent! We are extremely pleased with the color, the coverage and the quality of the paint job in general. Follow up was prompt, polite and thorough. Joe came to inspect as soon as the job was done, was very thorough in his inspection. Joe even had Alex do a bit of paint clean-up (at no cost) on an entry door unit that had been installed and painted by another company (i.e. it was not part of Certa-Pro's job, but Joe wanted the whole house to look good). That is service above and beyond the call of duty! We are so impressed with Joe and Certa-Pro of South Charlotte. We've recommended them to friends and family, and will definitely use them in the future for exterior or interior painting.

Professional from beginning to end. Owner (Joe Cardone) was fair and careful to ensure we understood exactly what was included (and not included) in the quote. Joe stayed in touch during the project. On the job: Supervisor (Alex) was on top of everything. It was evident that he and his crew have been together a long time; they work together seamlessly as a team. It was also obvious that he and Joe have been together a long time. That gives customers a comfortable feeling from the beginning. They were punctual and worked tirelessly, only taking a break for lunch. We were totally impressed and I have been raving about them to friends and neighbors. We will use them again for any future work. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!!!!!!!!!
