Works great now! And I value that I'm repairing the unit rather than adding it to our landfills. They repaired my Denon CD player last year, and it's still going strong.
Description of Work: The tape and turntable on our TEAC radio/CD player/tape player/turntable unit were no longer working. I took the unit into Carphonics, and they fixed it right up. Some of these combination units don't cost very much ($100 or so), and the representative checked that I wasn't paying more than the original cost. They replaced the defective tape head and cleaned the mechanism, replaced the turntable belt and lubed/adjusted it. And they replaced the FM antenna, too.

I called him while I was driving to Charlotte. I called to confirm what time he would be there so I would not drive all the way there and he would be closed. I arrived and he was closed with no note on the door. I sat in my car so mad. I even called. I thought maybe he was in the back; I was only a few minutes late. I left a message. I left my phone number. I was backing up and I saw a man walking to his car. He said he worked at Carphonics and I can?t help you. He said no he was sick, got in his car and called back. I called back and left a message. It was not mean. He did not even call me back. When I called back he blessed me out. He told me he had eaten something bad and was sick. He said that I was a selfish person and didn?t care about him. It was his lack of sensitivity. I understand that people get sick but even if you have an emergency you still need to say you are sorry. I even reported him to the Better Business Bureau. When the BBB asked me what resolution I would like I said was that I wanted an apology and I wanted him to offer me a discount for making the two trips to Charlotte from Concord both of which I thought were reasonable. He still has yet to contact me. I do understand that he was sick. He was able to drive home in Charlotte traffic but could not leave a note on the door saying "sorry, I got sick." My sister is sick and lives with me. He yelled at me so loud she could hear him across the room.
Description of Work: I have a home theater system and the receiver that had everything hooked up to it. It stopped. The DVD player stopped working. I was trying to find someone to fix it.

Brought my stereo in for warranty repair. They were efficient and organized giving me a pickup receipt with a reference number. They fixed it quickly and called when it was ready. When I picked it up, I got a descriptions of the work performed and all of the warranty paperwork was completed. Stereo has worked fine now for about a month. The only negative is that the location is not very convenient and the shop itself is rather industrial. At the least, clean up the place and eliminate the visible clutter to the customers like the stacks of old TV's. Such professional and exacting work that is done so well should project a professional image. People do judge a book by its cover sometimes.
Description of Work: Brand new Onkyo Stereo stopped working. Brought it in for warranty repair.

THE COMPANY REPAIRED MY MICROWAVE VERY QUICKLY. THE MICROWAVE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, SO I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY AS THE COMPANY TOOK CARE OF ALL THE WARRANTY STUFF. THE ONLY SLIGHTLY NEGATIVE REMARK I CAN GIVE IS THAT THE CASING OF MY MICROWAVE WAS NOT PUT BACK ON PROPERLY; BUT THAT WAS NOT A BIG DEAL TO FIX MYSELF.
Description of Work: I HAD A MICROWAVE FIXED THAT HAD STOPPED WORKING. THE MICROWAVE WOULD ONLY COUNT DOWN THE TIMER, AND WOULD NOT ACTUALLY HEAT ANYTHING.
