We had a terrible storm in my neighborhood. Shortly after, I received a flyer advertising a free inspection. I set one up and they came out the next day. Turned out I had enough damage to get a new roof through my insurance company. They were great assisting me with the details.

I received a flyer, contacted the sales rep, had the roof inspected, approved, and built all in about four weeks.

Like others, I received a flyer on my mailbox referring to "hundreds of my neighbors" who had new roofs installed "with no out of pocket costs" because they were paid for by insurance. The flyer referred to recent wind and hail damage, which was a surprise to me, since we've been in a drought and haven't had any rain for quite some time. I saw that the company's owner responded to another member's complaint about receiving a flyer by referring to weather events reported on noaa.org. However, when I searched the site for any hail or high winds in Mecklenburg County, there were none reported for the period 6/30 - 9/1/2010 (the latest information reported). I wonder where this company gets their weather information? I don't like getting flyers on my mailbox, and particularly ones that appear to be an attempted scam.

I was upset to see their flyer in my mailbox telling me to call that I had similar roof damage as others in the neighborhood when in fact, I just had my roof inspected a few weeks ago (it has not even rained) and there is no damage. I have been asked by many roofers lately to "repair my damaged roof" when no damage is there. There are many companies doing this right now and I don't think its right.

I contacted Carolina Roof through a flyer left at my house. I had no idea what shape my roof was in and they offered a free inspection. I called Scott from the flyer and he came out next day for an inspection. He found some weather damage and suggested I set up an inspection with my insurance company. He came back to the house to meet with my insurance company, both took a look at the roof and agreed it should be replaced. They tore the old roof off, fixed some bad boards, installed new shingles and cleaned up my yard as if no one was ever there. The crew was quick, clean and professional. I could not be happier with the quality of their work, professionalism and experience. Scott was fantastic. Carolina Roof Consultants is the company to choose if you want a quality roof done right.

They completed it one day, however it took them three calls to get them back to clean up properly. When they threw the shingles off the roof, it scratched and dirtied the back part of the house. They threw hot shingles on my porch and landed on the plastic I had covering my chairs. It melted through the plastic and damaged the wood on my deck. I now have to pay for the wood on my deck. UPDATE: They did come back and fix everything that I had complained about. Apparently, 20 open spaces were left on the roof that didn't have flashing or caulking under the shingles. I called them and they came right out that same day. When they went up on the roof, they came-back down completely appalled. They spent 2 1/2 days working on the roof that their men had done. They even had people come and blow the leaves out of the yard and picked up the nails that were scattered throughout with a magnet machine.

Fanstastic experience!!! I wish I would have called these guys sooner. Our family feels so blessed to have a new roof!!! Thanks Carolina Roof Consultants for all your hard work.
