+ 0 moreHe was prompt professional and I would recommend him to others. He always let me know what he was doing and had me there to show me what he was doing in case I had questions.
Description of Work: He refinished some hardwood floors and redid a shower and put in some tiles.

+ -1 moreMr. Brown is on time, polite, has a great sense of humor and is VERY professional. I will use him again. I felt very safe giving Mr. Brown the key to my house while the work was being done.
Description of Work: My hardwood kitchen floor and the porch brick floor were polyeurothaned beautifully. Plus he and his helper did many needed ''handyman'' jobs around the house.

+ -1 moreCHARLIE AND NORM WERE ALWAYS ON TIME, USUALLY 7:30 A.M. THEY WORKED FAST AND EFFICIENTLY, MAKING SURE THEY WERE DOING EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED. WHEN THE STAIN IN THE DEN (WHICH HAD PINE FLOORS WE'D INSTALLED 18 YEARS AGO) DIDN'T QUITE MATCH THE OAK FLOORS IN THE DINING AREA, CHARLIE STAINED THEM AGAIN, COMING UP WITH A GOOD MATCH. HE WOULD NOT TAKE ANY MONEY UP FRONT AND WOULD NOT TAKE PAYMENT AT ALL UNTIL HE WAS CERTAIN THAT WE WERE ENTIRELY SATISFIED. THEY ARE BOTH HIGHLY TRUSTWORTHY AND MOTIVATED AND CAN DO WHATEVER YOU NEED, FROM NEW CONSTRUCTION TO RENOVATIONS, AS WELL AS FLOORS. THEY WERE A PLEASURE TO GET TO KNOW. I HAD DREADED THIS PROJECT, BUT THEY MADE IT FAR EASIER THAN I HAD THOUGHT POSSIBLE. THEIR PRICE WAS MORE THAN COMPETITIVE WITH OTHER QUOTES I GOT AND, VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE, THERE WAS VERY LITTLE DUST. THEY USE GOOD EQUIPMENT AND CLEAN OUT THEIR BAGS REGULARLY TO LIMIT THE DUST IN THE HOUSE.
Description of Work: CHARLIE BROWN AND HIS FULL-TIME HELPER, NORM, REFINISHED THE HARDWOOD FLOORS THAT WERE INSTALLED WHEN OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1956 BUT HAD BEEN CARPETED OVER FOR AT LEAST 30 YEARS. AT MY HUSBAND'S REQUEST, THEY TORE OUT A SECTION IN THE FOYER SO MY HUSBAND COULD LAY STONE. THEY REPAIRED SECTIONS AT THE TWO INTERIOR KITCHEN ENTRANCES (WE HAD THE DOORS TAKEN OUT WHEN WE REDID THE KITCHEN)AND THESE SPOTS WERE CARPETED OVER. THEY SANDED, STAINED AND SEALED THE FLOORS, ADDED SHOE MOLDING AND REPLACED OUTDATED HEAT VENTS. THE AREA INCLUDED OUR LIVING/DINING AREA, HALLWAY AND DEN. THEY MOVED ALL THE FURNITURE FOR US, PULLED UP THE CARPET AND HAULED IT TO THE CURB IN TIME FOR CITY PICKUP. THEY REPLACED THE FURNITURE ONCE THE FLOORS WERE DONE.

+ -1 moreCHARLIE BROWN AND HIS ASSOCIATE, NORM, DID EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL, RESPONSIVE WORK. WHEN AN UNANTICIPATED NEED AROSE, THEY HANDLED IT WITH APLOMB. THEY SEEM TO BE ABLE TO DO ALMOST ANYTHING THAT IS NEEDED IN HOUSE REPAIR WORK. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Description of Work: REFINISHED (OR FINISHED, MAYBE I SHOULD SAY) NEWLY-INSTALLED OAK HARDWOOD FLOOR. OLD FLOOR REMOVED AND NEW FLOOR INSTALLED BY ANOTHER REMODELER, WHO RECOMMENDED MR. BROWN FOR THE REFINISHING.
