I needed someone to move my older leather sectional upstairs to the bonus room in advance of a new couch being delivered for the Living area. I contacted a few local movers and while the estimates were relatively close in price, Best Movers was the best price. Juan and his team showed up and I showed him what I needed done (since this type of job requires a minimum time purchase, I had them move some items back onto a deck I had stained last week, and some other random moves). The team was great - professional, considerate of me, my home, and furnishings. They even hung a large mirror on a wall for me. My list was completed in less than an hour, but it was worth it for me. I would definitely use them again for this sort of thing and based on my experience, I would definitely contact them for a local move. Thanks!

I can't say enough wonderful things about these guys... It started with Patricia who handled the scheduling. I called her first to confirm they could move us on our date, then I came back to Angies List to buy the deal. She was fantastic. Two days before the move, she contacted me again to confirm. I let her know that the move would likely require more than 4 hours - I didn't know how to really gauge it because both of our other moves had been corporate relocations where the movers come in and pack up everything and unload it - we paid nothing, but the moves cost the employers around $20,000 all in. To save time/money, we moved all our smaller things ourselves (kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, artwork, lamps, etc.) as we were moving 5 miles away (from Cornelius to Huntersville NC). But we have a lot of antiques and artisan hand made pieces - every piece of our furniture tells a story. We've collected furniture from California to Pennsylvania to Europe and beyond. Our collection is invaluable to us and we really needed pros to move it. We also have an elliptical that had to go from a second story bonus room to the new second story bonus room. That thing weighs a ton. There was a surcharge to move that - I think it was $50. When I saw them all heaving that thing down and up the stairs in both homes, I can tell you that whatever it was they charged wasn't nearly enough! This thing weighs a TON. I also want to note that the new house had been freshly painted and we just had new hardwood floors installed throughout. There wasn't a ding or a scratch on anything. Not even the contractors who were here for two months were that good. These guys were fantastic. They were professional, prompt, kind, polite, efficient, and they were really patient too. I have two kids and three dogs (one is a puppy). The kids kept letting the dogs out and they were running around and yipping while these guys were trying to move furniture. Each time they would gently scoop up the puppy and hand her back with a smile. They were doing back-breaking work for 8+ hours and they were always courteous. At the end of the day we settled up with them and I gave each of the guys a $50 tip. It didn't begin to cover the amount of back-breaking work that they did for us. I really hope we're staying put for a LONG time, but if I have to do it again, I know who I will call.

It was alright, but I had about 20 or 30 pictures and 15 or 20 frames and glasses were broken and lost. So whatever they were supposed to do or whether I was responsible for my own packing, my pictures frames and glasses are broken and I was very disappointed. That was the only aspect of the move that I was really disappointed with. I wouldn't hire them again unless I spoke to them about my belongings and about my pictures because they were very precious to me. They were religious verdicts and pictures and they were broken and messed up so I was unhappy about that. There was no additional cost but it didn't take them the required amount of time that they claimed it would take to justify that amount. They were very pleasant people.

These guys were great. I have used many movers since I've lived in NC, and they were hands down the best. They blanket wrapped the furniture, never complained, no dings, showed up on time, and were very polite. Our move was strange because we moved large items from a house we were selling to our son's home and then some items back to our house. I finally found a mover I'll hire again. Thank you!

Everything went well, We contracted with them two weeks later to move additional furniture from my husband's mother's apartment also to the upstairs and were pleased with that as well.

I was given a window of 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and they showed up very close to 3 which made me nervous. Storage unit company would not allow any trucks past 5:30 PM, it was close but we made it and everything was done as expected.

After a bit of a rough start -- they were an hour late due to very bad Interstate traffic, but that wasn't their fault -- they made up for it. We estimated the move would take 3 hours, but Juan and his team were FAST, and they finished the job in under 3 hours. They were very professional in appearance and behavior, and polite and courteous. They were very conscientious and careful with all of my belongings and the property - both the rented condo I moved out of and my new house. There was not one scratch or dent on anything! They took apart my queen-size bed and reassembled it perfectly in the new house. The put everything where I asked them to put it, which made it easier for me - very little rearranging of furniture. Other than being late (which again was out of their control - bad traffic jam coming from an earlier move), I could not have asked for a better moving experience (and I've moved a few times!). Best Movers did an excellent job, and gave me a great deal, too! Patricia in the office also did a great job of booking and confirming details for the move. I highly recommend Juan and his moving team.

We could not have been more pleased with the service. Everything from Talking with the office about our needs, to buying the Deal, to the move was excellent. The crew arrived on-time, worked hard and took very good care of our possessions, and took the time as we were moving in to help rearrange a few items. Would definitely use them again for any moving needs and will HIGHLY recommend them.

They show up and do the job, and they're very professional. My only complaint was with the heavy language barrier, but I would absolutely recommend them. I would have given them an A otherwise.

Arrived on time, Carefully packed all fragile items, disassembled and reassembled tables, beds. Team of 4 were professional, courteous, efficient. A pleasure to work with. Very good prices. This was my 2nd move with them. Highly recommended.

The movers were prompt and courteous, and all the belongings were moved without being damaged. However, the movers took more than twice as long as estimated, and it seemed obvious that this was done in order to charge more for the move. The price quote was for a 2-person team for two hours. It took them 4 1/2 hours, and I only had them move the heavy items and/or large items that I wouldn't be able to move on my own. (I had advised the company of the items I would need moved when I called to get an estimate of the amount of time the move would take). It was very frustrating to see the movers carry items a single piece at a time. For example, one bed rail carried from the apartment to the moving van, then back to the apartment to get the other bed rail and carry that piece to the moving van. Surely, light-weight items such as these could have been carried together without risking damage to the items (or injury to the movers), and would have saved time. This is the first time I used a moving company to move my belongings. I was naive in believing their estimate of the time/price quote. Just be aware that they will most likely go well-over their time estimate in order to charge you more for the move.

Very professional but moved very slow. Paid more than it was worth

This company canceled on me at the last minute, I was ready to move and at 9 am when they were supposed to move me I get a call that they were overbooked and could not move me, It put me in a huge bind, they were rude and unprofessional

They were very accommodating, I had changed my move date a couple of times and they were able to help with that. They came in and packed everything up and moved me. I underestimated the time I would need, but was able to add the extra hour no problem. I would use them again.

OK. This company's willingness to accommodate the ongoing schedule changes of my life was fantastic. They clearly want to provide top notch customer service. It wasn't that it cost more than two hours that surprised me, it was just the idea that I could have a formal quote done. Or perhaps that costs more per hour? I don't know. The special sale thing does state that time overruns would be billed. This is my first experience with movers, so I can't really say if this was unique or not, a good price or not, etc. Maybe it would cost more to have a person come out and bid the job, but I think it would be less of a surprise for the movers as well. We didn't get started until after 5 in the evening, and didn't have the truck emptied until after 8. Everyone (including me) was tired. The men who did the moving were polite and courteous, As far as I could tell, they were as careful as possible with my furniture. They struggled somewhat with a recliner chair. I don't know if that was by preference on their part to not remove the back and move it in two pieces, or they didn't know they could. My one complaint was the only appliance I had them move was a small free standing freezer. They just placed it in the kitchen and did not plug it in. So by the time I found this out, it had been unplugged for possibly 5 hours? This is a freezer with venison and other meat and food that isn't cheap. As for organization of the move, I could have done better on my end. I really hadn't thought about which room would be what, which piece of furniture where, and most of the boxes weren't labeled by room. So almost everything is here in the living room, neatly stacked, awaiting me to open it, figure out what is in it, and then move it where it belongs. That's my bad. There are websites that will tell you how to organize for a move. If your life allows you to do that, it's probably a good idea. Oh! The other thing that would have been useful up front was being advised what sorts of things they don't move, e.g. lawnmowers, fire extinguishers, garden tools, etc. (again, I suspect websites will tell you, but I would have liked to have been brought up to speed by the moving company in advance.)

Best Movers US showed a complete lack of regard about cancelling on us at the last minute. Of course, truck breakdowns happen from time to time but to reschedule customers more than 2 weeks out is unacceptable. Most people have tight deadlines associated with their moves and can't wait that long. We had a 5 day buffer but Best Movers couldn't even provide us with movers if we found our own truck. We frantically called around and were very fortunate that Sawyers All Carolina Moving and Packing could move us a couple of days later. We are eternally grateful to them and they did an excellent job to boot!

It was a great move, nothing broken, fast, and professional. The guys were friendly fast and know their jobs. Their plans worked great and everything took less time than I had expected. It was a great move!

All calls were returned promptly. They arrived on time and were very fast and efficient with the move. They truly appreciated our business and I recommend them very highly.
