I had a leak in the crawlspace coming from the primary bath area. Tony from Benjamin Franklin didn’t give up trying to find the source of the leak. He determined the uniqueness of the situation and the supplies needed for the repair. The repair was completed correctly and Tony wiped down the whole area where he worked putting the bathroom back to its original condition. Tony was great!

Two and a half hours after our scheduled appointment, I call their office. I spoke to someone named Dawn who put me hold to call the plumber. While on hold, I repeatedly heard a message about their on time guarantee so I asked Dawn about when she came back on the line. After pulling up my account and verifying my appointment, she asked if my appointment was for a specific time? That was insulting. Then she said a manager named Shawn was going to call me. He didn't. The sales person who scheduled my appointment called me and tried to smooth thing over. Unless he was able to make it worth the time that I wasted sitting in a house without water all day, I needed to speak a manager. Shawn eventually called me and gave me a lame excuse as to why his plumber was late. If he said the plumber was taking care of his last client and left it at that, I would have understood. He told me that the plumber, who called me because his GPS couldn't find my address, put in my address and it took him to the other side of town. I've owned this house for nearly 20 years. I have never heard such nonsense. Save yourself a headache. Find another plumber. I've attached two screenshots showing the one option they give you to leave a bad comment on their work and the five or six options they give you to leave a good comment. That should let you know everything you need to know about this company.

The technician, Derek, was professional and addressed several issues with professionalism and made each issue right. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin.

They got here within an hour of us discovering the leak. Jason shut off the water to the water heater and drained it.

Service was accurate and quick, technician was professional and explained what required , price quoted was what we paid.

Quick, used a camera to verify. I thought a little pricey given they provide no warranty. No conclusion since no roots or blockage material was returned from the bit and then no evidence was visible on the camera. Still, give them an A for responsiveness ... I had called another well-advertised service (they are local as well) and they could not get here until next day but glad I called Benjamin Franklin plumbing.

Adam Wahl was excellent. He was professional and detailed out the problems and remedies for pipe replacement with alternatives in scheduling and layouts also provided to best meet our schedule and budgeting needs.

He recommended a new hot water heater but I don’t have $3300. Because of the COVID-19 my work has been part time..great job though

AVOID – OVERCHARGED AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I hired this company to install a backwater valve in my basement to help with an issue I was having with my main house drain. I agreed to the quote not knowing how big the job would be or what was involved. After the work was completed, I realized that the parts cost less than $100 and that the installation took about one hour. I was home and watched them complete much of the work myself. I was charged $2,000, which included a service call / trip fee and a warranty. After subtracting those costs and the cost of the parts, that left around $1,700 that I paid for about an hour of labor. I emailed the general manager the next day, who was not very responsive. It took four weeks for him to send a supervisor to my home to review the job, after which the GM offered me a $250 credit. I was not satisfied with that amount, and emailed the GM one more time with pictures of the job so he could see it for himself (attached). He did not respond to me after that. I was happy with the service technician and the quality of the work, but being charged that much for the labor is completely absurd. Even if you add in the time spent consulting me at the beginning, traveling to the parts store, eating lunch, etc. - none of which should be included since I paid a separate trip charge - that's still a ridiculous amount. Save your money, avoid the hassle and find a different plumbing company to work with.
