I had a moving experience with Atlant Moving 1987 from North Carolina to Arizona.
Absolutely NOT RECOMMEND have a business with this company.
The first reason, is DISHONESTY AND HIDDEN PRICES
The manager of the company, Mrs. Kate Burakova had a visit to my place, did estimate, got a deposit, and promised a good money deal. It was the main reason I choose this company from other.
At the real situation the owner of company, Alex Burakov, who was present on the moving day, until the last moment didn't tell me what the real amount of money they plan to charge from me.
Instead of $7,200 (which the manager Mrs.Kate Burakova promised to me, they charged.......$9,965 !!!!!!!)
It was a big shock for me.
The delivery day was changed twice.
It was not organized and not well-planned job.
During delivery they very tightly squeezed my staff in much smaller truck than Mrs. Burakova promised to me. As the result they broke and damaged furniture and some moving staff, especially a leather queen size sofa and lots (!!!) of containers.
I made a claim against Atlant Moving 1987 and waiting for the result.
Highly NOT RECOMMEND this company and be very careful and attentive to their promises.
Response from ATLANT MOVING 1987
Dear Irina,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We understand your frustration and would like to address the specific points you raised regarding your moving experience with Atlant Moving 1987 from North Carolina to Arizona.
Firstly, regarding the matter of pricing, it is essential to clarify that our estimates are based on the inventory list provided at the initial assessment. The price adjustment was a direct result of the actual volume of items moved, which exceeded the initial estimate. This practice is standard in the moving industry, especially for long-distance moves, to accommodate the precise volume of belongings. We strive for transparency and regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred during this process.
Concerning the change in delivery dates and the selection of the moving truck, we made these decisions with your best interest in mind. If you choose option exact delivery date - it’s additional 1000$. You haven’t ordered this option. The adjustment to the delivery schedule was made to ensure a smoother relocation process, given the complexities of long-distance moves. Additionally, the choice of a smaller truck was a strategic decision to avoid the additional costs associated with larger vehicles, as per the ‘Accesorial Service’ list in your contract. You had to pay 1$ per c.f to make Shuttle service as usually happens in apartment areas with large trucks. We avoided it. This was done to economize your expenses, not compromise the quality of service.
It’s also important to note that the expedited delivery within 12 days, as opposed to the standard 21, was an effort to provide you with efficient service. Our team worked diligently to ensure your move was completed within this shortened timeframe.
We understand that moving can be a stressful time, and our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for our clients. We regret any distress or inconvenience you have experienced. Our team, including Manager Kate, worked tirelessly to manage your move efficiently and cost-effectively. It is disappointing to hear your dissatisfaction, and we are committed to resolving your concerns in line with our company policies and the moving industry standards.
