+ -1 moreThe roof looks nice but leaks badly. There are 7 areas that leak and most of the issues seem to be with the skylights. I've called Bill several times, sent him emails, and have even sent pictures of the puddles on the floor after it rains. Tried calling again today but it sounds like his phone is no longer in service. Bill is a nice guy and he always has an excuse for why he hasn't made it back to fix the issues but at this point we're starting to wonder whether our "20 year warranty" on this new roof is worth anything.
Description of Work: Bill Nolan (Archangel Construction) gave us a price of $34,000 to put a new metal roof on our 5,000 sq ft warehouse. He wasn't the low bidder but we thought he would do the best job so we hired him. The crew that he sent to do the work seemed fairly competent but we did have questions about the way that they were installing some of the sheets and the skylights.

+ -1 moreI showed them the inspection report and request for repairs I had received. They agreed the nail holes in the roof needed to be caulked and quoted me $500. I was in a bind and had to have the work done, although I thought this cost was quite high for a job that took just over an hour.

+ 0 moreTHE ROOF LOOKS FINE AND THEY PUT A GOOD GRADE OF SHINGLES ON. THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB WITH THE GUTTERS. I HAVE A ZIP LOCK BAG FULL OF ROOFING NAILS THAT I HAVE PICKED UP AND I HAD TO REPLACE TWO FLAT TIRES. THEY SHOULD HAVE USED A MAGNET WHICH IS WHAT I USED. I WOULD SAY OVERALL THE TEAM WAS EXCELLENT I WAS JUST DISAPPOINTED WITH THE NAILS.

He checked out my roof and was able to do the work right then. He was very courteous and professional as well. I would definitely call them again.

+ -1 moreTHE ONLY THING MR NOLAN DID TO SATISFY ME WAS THE 50 DOLLARS HE DISCOUNTED BECAUSE OF THE NAIL MY DAUGHTER STEPPED ON AND HE SENT THE WORKERS BACK TO SWEEP FOR NAILS AGAIN (AFTER I HAD REMOVED 3 QUARTS OF NAILS). HE HUNG UP ON ME DURING MY FIRST PHONE CALL & NEVER RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS AFTER THAT. THAT IS THE PRIMARY REASON I WENT TO THE BBB & YOUR LIST FOR REMEDY OF THIS DISPUTE. 3. MR. NOLAN'S REMARKS ABOUT MY "BULLYING WAYS" AND "SENILITY" ARE NOT TRUE. EVEN IF HE THINKS IT'S TRUE, THAT'S NO WAY TO TALK TO A CUSTOMER. 4. FINALLY, I NEVER SAID I WAS "THE WORST CLIENT" HE EVER HAD. THIS DISPUTE IS ENDING IN A STALEMATE. I AM TIRED OF PURSUING THIS MATTER, BUT DID NOT WISH READERS TO BE LEFT WITH AN INACCURATE POINT OF VIEW. Description of Work: I HAD ARGONAUT PUT A NEW ROOF ON MY HOME. THE QUALITY OF THE ROOF WAS ALRIGHT, BUT THEY LEFT NAILS ALL OVER MY YARD AND WERE HORRIBLE AT CLEANING UP AFTER THE JOB. MY DAUGHTER STEPPED ON A NAIL AND I HAD TO FOLLOW THROUGH AND PICK THEM UP. THE TIRES ON MY RIDING LAWN MOWER POPPED DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE. ALSO, I HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO COME LOOK AT MY VENTS TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. THEY WERE RUDE TO ME ON THE PHONE AND HUNG UP AND WOULDN'T COME BACK OUT AFTER I PAID THEM $5000. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! MR. NOLAN'S RESPONSE IS INACCURATE IN SEVERAL WAYS: 1. MY DAUGHTER WAS NEVER TOLD TO AVOID WALKING THROUGH ANY AREA & THERE WERE NO AREAS DELINEATED AS HAZARDOUS IN ANY WAY. SHE WALKED THROUGH WHAT APPEARED TO BE A CLEAR PATH BETWEEN TWO AREAS OF DEBRIS. 2. MY "STANDARD" OF CLEAN-UP WAS NOT MET BECAUSE I HAD TO PICK UP 3 QUART-SIZED BUCKETS OF ROOFING NAILS LEFT BEHIND AND HAD TO HAVE 3 TRACTOR TIRES PLUGGED THAT WENT FLAT DUE TO NAILS.

The foreman, Danny was very skilled and kept the crew busy at all times. He also did some carpentry and was quite reasonable with the price. Overall, I was very pleased with the job they did. When they left they cleaned up exceptionally well. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Complete re-roofing job involving removal of old shingles, replacing bad decking and re-shingling.

+ -1 moreBill and his crew have done a great job on this work. They are reasonably priced and willing to work hard (including doing jobs over the weekend to get more in their schedule).
Description of Work: Argonaut has performed several roof repair and upgrade jobs on a flat roofed commercial property that I own. They installed a new standing seam metal roof on the mansard-style facade, repaired leaking seams in the flat roof (I chose to do this now, instead of replacing) and replaced a leaking trough gutter that separated two roof areas where two buildings abut each other.
