We just had our windows replaced by Apex Energy Solutions. Justin was our sales rep and couldn't have been more helpful. He knows his product and answered all our questions. The install team did a great job and it has given our home a true facelift. They replaced a sliding glass door with three beautiful windows in my breakfast area, and we are so happy with the new look. They were very courteous and careful when they were working inside our home and cleaned everything up and hauled it off. We are looking forward to lower energy bills the future. We recently had our windows replaced by Apex and we wanted to share with you how happy we are with everything from the sales process to the installation to the follow through. Apex has a great window product and a good installation system. The project turned out great, I’m pleased with the final results. Although APEX did a great job of responding to all punch list items, there were more punch list items than I had anticipated. To make a great company better, Apex should improve their project quality review program.

Very professional. Answered all of my questions. The work was exceptional, they did not rush, and you could not find better people to do quality work. Thad and his crew came on the scheduled date and finished the job the next day. Except for the fact that I have new windows, I would never have known anyone had been in my house. Once completed, they cleaned the area and did a detailed inspection to ensure that the work was done to my satisfaction.

Salesman Nathan was great to work with. Very personable, answered our questions, and followed up as needed. We replaced about 20 windows. We changed a couple windows from double hung to sliders and really love the way they open easily and the way they changed the look of the house. Installers were very nice and efficient. They hauled away the old windows, and cleaned up well, although we did find some debris on the ground afterwards. Install took 2 days and a couple of the windows were not the right size and a couple were not the right style. Nathan and Josh contacted us about the incorrect windows and quickly resubmitted orders for the correct sizes and styles and they were installed a few weeks later when they arrived. The windows look great and they don’t feel cold to the touch like the old ones had. They open smoothly and we are hoping to see some great savings in our electric bill. Price was great in comparison to competitors and Apex offered a no interest financing option that we were able to take advantage of. We are very pleased with our purchase.

These guys know windows. It's all they do. They only carry one window: a high-efficiency window. My old ones were original to the house. Some of them were cloudy, and even more of them I couldn't even open. My wife was afraid if there was a fire we'd be trapped and die . Anyway, they knocked the original price down so I'd put a sign up and advertise in the neighborhood for a few months. Totally made sense to me. People I know tell me the prices from some other companies were much higher. As for the windows themselves, I really like them. My house is SOOO much quieter now. I didn't realize how much road noise and airplane noise I had. Also, some of the old ones were actually kind of drafty, even though I didn't see where air would be coming in, I could feel it. They were double pane too. The new ones I can't feel any cold air at all. In the summer time, sunlight doesn't make my skin warm. It's kind of weird. So, no UV damage on anything inside your house. You can trust these guys to do your window job. They won a couple super service rewards.

The windows are fine but the installation was lacking. Punctuality was good.

The sales, service and follow up provided by Apex was outstanding. Our home was 20+ years and still had the original builders spec wooden windows. There were not energy efficient, difficult to clean, had broken grills and the full size screens had become flimsy and loose fitting. We had been shopping for windows for several months when we were contacted by Apex. Two of our neighbors had used Apex and were very pleased with them. The quality of the windows, triple paned with built in grills, was as good, if not better, than many of the higher priced, well known window brands that most consumers consider top of the line. These windows also came with a "true" lifetime warranty. The sales team from Apex did a great job in showing us the features of the windows and demonstrated the ease of use and potential energy savings. My wife loved how easy the windows were to clean and I loved that they were all vinyl as was the trim so I no longer had to deal with rotting wood and painting! The purchase price we agreed to was very competitive and significantly lower than what we expected for high quality windows. Since each replacement window had to be custom built it took about three weeks before the windows were ready for installation. The installation crew was punctual, courteous and very professional. Our team had been working together for several years and the master installer had been doing windows for almost 30 years. They completed the installation in two days, which amazed me. Each member of the crew had grown up in or around Charlotte so it was enjoyable talking to them about the many changes they had seen in the area in the last 20 years. When the installation was complete, Tom, the master installer, again demonstrated how the windows worked and explained the service and warranty procedures. We are very pleased with the look and quality of our windows. Our installation was done in early August so I am eager to see my Duke Energy bill for August and compare it to the July bill. I would certainly recommend Apex Energy Solutions to anyone considering replacement windows. If you do decide to try Apex, ask for Nathan.

The crew came out and pulled the old ones out and replaced them all the same day. The were courteous and respectful of keeping the outside and inside clean where they worked. They finished up the next morning. Very pleased with the service and the high-quality windows.

On August 29, 2013, I met with John from Apex to discuss installing windows on my home. This was a drop by call lasting about 15 minutes. On August 30th I met with Apex to learn details and sign a contract. On September 4th, Calvin, the installer, measured my windows and took a down payment. On Nov. 13th the job was completed. On Nov. 14th, John came by to check with me. From the start to finish, all Apex employees were courteous, professional, and efficient. Aaron deserves a special shout out! Aaron was thorough and caring. He maintained telephone and personal contact with me from the start to finish of this project. His concerns and communication were stellar!

Installation went very well. One of the windows fit well and looked fine but was not the right configuration. When I called they were very amenable and replaced the window promptly without any argument whatsoever. I was very pleased.

The service was great. They came and gave an estimate very quickly within twenty-four hours they called to schedule an appointment to measure. The guy was here very quickly, did all the measurements for all the windows, twenty windows and a sliding glass door. The windows came in early, he had given us a time frame and they actually came in early. They scheduled an appointment the following week to get them in. They just worked very quickly, no fuss, no muss. The crew was very polite. We love our windows, they are great. I thought they had a very good price for what you get because I shopped around for windows and their price was extremely competitive for what we got. We got triple pain windows and actually got them for less than most double panes were. We are pretty happy.

All went well. My only beef is the salesman did not follow up , inspect as promised.

I never thought I would be this excited about new windows . 1st Mr Cala came out and gave us a presentation. He was amazing and no pressure to buy. After we saw these windows and what they do we were sold. All houses 9 to 15 years or older need these windows. They have a special trained person just trained for their windows that came out and measured and he was very good. they have a lifetime guarantee if the windows break even if a golf ball comes through. We did all windows except 2 and now we are going to do those two windows. You must try them.

Zachary arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. As promised, my husband was present. I'd also done some pretty thorough research on their products and on per window pricing. I hammered Zachary with my questions, and he answered them politely and patiently. He even admitted that he didn't have an answer to a specific question I had, but would try to get me the info. I don't recall all of the specifics now because let's face it, I crammed for my discussion with him, not to remember the details. We went through the whole spiel, and I was not convinced. Then Zachary pulled out a sample window for us to inspect and look at. This is the "wow" part of the presentation and I must confess, I was wowed. We had old, double paned wood windows, some with gaps you could actually see through to the outside, and most of which wouldn't lift up or down without tremendous assistance and something to prop them in place. So, the sample window looked like nirvana. Zachary drafted up a quote to replace all windows in our house (30+) with Apex's standard triple-paned, argon-filled vinyl windows. When he presented the quote to us, after showing us some examples of "competing" companies' quotes, I was impressed, but it was a lot of money so I paused. My husband, the fiscally uptight one of the two of us, had no hesitation. "We're in, when can we schedule?" After I dragged my husband out on the front porch so we could talk the pros and cons of spending that much money unplanned, and also of "negotiating" and not just blurting out that we'd buy the windows, we decided to go for it. Zachary also put a little pressure on us, saying that if they got one more house in our neighborhood to get the windows, our deal would be invalid and (of course) he had an appointment the next day. I didn't like that tactic, which is part of the reason I graded a 'B' for professionalism. We asked for and got Noah to oversee our installation, based on reviews here. He came to measure, and I asked about taking out my blinds. I had cellular blinds in many windows, and Zachary had told me they would need to be removed "for the installation". Noah said they would have to come out too. So, my husband removed the blinds and brackets just prior to installation, and we figured he'd easily re-install them after the windows was complete. It took several weeks (about six) for our windows to come in. On day one, I saw the first window go in and my heart sank. There was no way that I could see to re-mount our custom blinds with these "full frame" vinyl windows. (See a comparison of our old wood frame vs. the new full frame in the photos with this review.) More on the blind drama later in the review. Noah acknowledged my concern and I said, "I wish they'd make it clearer that your entire window frame is now vinyl so there's barely any room to mount the blinds." He eased my fears by saying, "Well, I've seen blinds mounted with these windows so I know it can be done, I just don't know the exact logistics. Noah and Robert worked for 4 full days to install all of our windows, remove old and rotted trim, and trim our windows with new vinyl trim. They arrived promptly and they were punctual, and very polite. At one point when I'd maneuvered my car outside to try and get around them, I had a bit of a problem and Noah hopped in and masterfully moved it around the truck. Having seen him navigate the huge truck and trailer into our driveway several times, I had faith in his abilities. The only issue with that truck was that it slightly gouged my driveway as it bottomed out on the way out, but it wasn't bad enough to make a fuss over. One window arrived dented, so they had to order another one. So for a month I had a mismatched kitchen window, which actually was good for taking the comparison pictures I included. The 'B' in punctuality really is for all the long, loooong lead times for the windows to arrive and then to get them installed. I had to get rescheduled for the final window once, which was a bit frustrating. But it was good to see Noah and Robert again and they had that one up inside of an hour or so. The windows looked unbelievable after installation. They work unbelievably as well! In an ironic turn, our A/C died on day two of the new window installation. While we waited to get a new A/C unit installed, it was a pleasure to be able to go around and open and shut every single new window just as much or as little as I wanted. The insulating properties of the windows are noticeable. Even without A/C our usual "roasting room" - a small little spot that gets full southern sunshine, wasn't insanely hot. The windows were still cool to the touch in 85+ degree full sun, with no A/C in the house. That was impressive. Our windows were the talk of a neighborhood party I attended. One person asked if my house had been painted. Another said, "You got new windows, I hate you!" I was asked about price but politely told them I couldn't share that, just that it was very competitive. Our neighborhood is known for shoddy windows, so these are definitely a step up that will increase the value of the house. I also noticed that our cooling bills have been reduced slightly. June was an aberration due to not having A/C for a week, but our July bill was about $15 less than it was last summer. Can't wait to see how these work in the winter as well. I held off writing the review until the 'blind drama' was taken care of. Zachary said he had a contact for me who could install the blinds for a reasonable price. I called that number and left two voicemails, but never received a call back. I asked Zachary if there were any other people out there he could put me in touch with, and he said this guy was their "go to" guy for installing blinds post window installation. It's tough to find someone who will just install existing blinds instead of selling you new blinds to be installed. I called a number of blind installation companies from Angie's List and while none of them were in the business of helping people get their old blinds reinstalled, they were always willing to give me a name of someone who might be able to help. I finally got in touch with someone after getting a few names, and a very nice gentleman came to my house and looked at the situation with the full-frame windows. He was able to very skillfully mount the brackets just outside the edges of the vinyl windows, where it didn't look to me like there was enough space, but he pointed out the holes peeking just outside the calk that I'd not bothered to look for. He hung my remaining 9 blinds for a whopping $125. Took him about an hour. Three+ weeks after I tried calling, the Apex-recommended guy left me voicemail saying he'd been out of town. By that time I'd found my blind guy. Overall, I rate the experience an 'A' purely due to the price of the windows and the quality of the windows and the window installation. Anytime you get 30+ windows replaced, there will be logistical nightmares and headaches, and we had a few that I haven't mentioned because they were just a part of getting new windows, there's no problem with that. My two biggest frustrations were that it was not clearly explained to me just how these new windows would take up the entire existing frame, and then the struggle of trying to get someone to reinstall my blinds who wouldn't mess up the window frames while doing it. By the way, it's not just Apex windows that are built this way. If you go to look at any energy efficient vinyl windows at Lowe's or Home Depot, you'll find that they display them in a deep frame so it looks like you'll have plenty of room for your window treatment mounts. So, the problem isn't with the product itself, just with the need to have more education on how the new windows will work. Overall, I am very pleased with our windows. I like how they make our house look, but most importantly I love how they make our house feel. No more drafts, no more insane heat on the south side of our house. I'm used to having them now, but I still really appreciate them every day.

Stephan provided me with an estimate up front. Separate crew comes to measure and insteall. They were extremely efficient and did a nice job cleaning up after themselves outside when they were done. These windows aren't cheap but they are so much better than what I had; I could immediately hear an improvement on blocking out the outside noise and I can only imagine how much better they keep out the hot/cold air. I have relatively few complaints about this company or the process!

This was a very nice experience. Noah, their installer, did an excellent job. Only problem was two windows were ordered with the wrong interior color. These were reordered and will be installed on 6/6/13. The job took 2 days for 19 windows. The installation was very neat and clean. The installers were punctual and very professional.

From the time Stefan came to give us the estimate till Noah the installer did the work it was fantastic! I was not a member of Angie's list until now this is why I am sending this review now:) If you need windows I would highly recommend Apex:) don't contract anyone until you get an estimate from Apex!
