Description of Work: We first had them out to look at the a/c. A fan motor broke and damaged the unit. They were able to repair it. We were happy with the service and now have a maintenance contract with them.

Description of Work: the capacitor need to be replaced. and was covered under warranty. Everything went smooth. Only complain was I had to wait for the technician since morning but once he was there it was replaced right away.

Description of Work: This was regular maintenance, and a part of our service contract. Ken spent considerable time working on our HVAC system, giving clear explanations of what he was doing and what might be necessary to correct some ongoing issues. Since his visit, everything is working properly, and it hadn't been before. We are happy with the work that Ken did.

Description of Work: In addition to the spring tune up service and establishing an annual service contract, we had them install a air scrubber/purification system and high quality air filter. They also found a broken part and worked with the manufacturer to obtain warrantee coverage for the parts. We are very pleased with the work the provided and the attentiveness of their workers.

Description of Work: Had them come out and check over my system that they installed in 2012. The tech found no problems. When they installed the new Carrier system in 2012, the work was done promptly and correctly. Very good to work with, and had the best price by far. The sales representative, Chuck, was great and enjoyed working with him.

Description of Work: My a/c went out late on a Friday. On Saturday morning I called Andy Lewis H/A for service call. (Although this was September, it was around 90 degrees the entire weekend). The call center rep was courteous and the tech arrived in due time and was also courteous and professional. The offer of a 39.00 service call was what lured me into choosing Andy Lewis over other contractors. First I found out that the 39.00 was if I allowed them to make repairs. If only diagnostic service was desired the fee increases to higher rate. So, I consented and authorized the repairs as it was a long holiday weekend and I did not want to go without a/c for the next 3 days. It was a simple repair. The tech replaced a bad dual functioning capacitor. The price of the part, as the tech even showed me on his price list was 259.00. It seemed a little high but not knowing for sure what their cost was I paid what was after taxes right at $300.00. My a/c has worked fine since then and I have no problem with A/L quality of work. However, a couple weeks later I was able to find out the cost of the capacitor replaced at my home. This capacitor is less than $ 5.00. I understand about needing to make a profit overhead etc. but please 259.00 for a 5.00 part. I called and voiced my complaint to one of their service mgrs and was given the same spill about overhead but was given no apologies whatsoever. I have since had the opportunity to talk with service techs from 2 other hvac companies and found their prices are actually within 25.00 of A/L. Incredible. I will never use A/L again nor the other two I spoke with knowing that they have no problem with overcharging their customers. Unfortunately, I'm still trying to find someone I can trust to give me a fair shake when service is needed. Which is why I recently joined Angie's List hoping to run across someone I can trust to give me what I consider a fair deal.

Description of Work: After 3 phone calls he finally arrived. He replaced a bad ignitor with a new assembly. We have been using this company for almost 10 years and firmly believe that they need to update their information (?) on Angie's List as they are certainly not what they were for the past several years. I think what bothers me mostly is the fact that they say they give a 10% senior discount and this is so NOT the case. If I had not read that on Angie's List I would never have known this was the case as I never did receiveany s/c ever, from them. We will not be renewing our contract with them this year or at any other time. Also they increased the price of their yearly contract and even though they are less expensive than some other companies I called, I am finished with them. They were here last Dec., again after 3 or 4 urgent calls and this was only a month or so after having just been here to do a Fall tune up. Too many mishaps along the way for us. This complaint is not about the technician, but about the company itself.
