Andersen Heating & Cooling

I have used Andersen Heating for many years. I know them to be professional courteous and knowledgeable. Heat Pump service can be challenging. They offer an excellent price/value and they know their heat pumps. I bought a service contract after several years of horrible service from multiple other contractors and Andersen came in analyzed the problem and fixed it. It was not a new pump but gave me many years of great service after the repair. When I added on to my home, I called Andersen and Jake Andersen was awesome. He listened to what I needed and advised me on options and helped me choose the best fit. They exceeded my expectations. Thank you Andersen!

After 18 years I had the worst Andersen Tech to show up. I have been getting 2 routine maintenance checks every 6 months for years. This Tech apparently felt I needed to replace my units/furnace. They are older, but working just fine to my satisfaction. Immediately after the Tech left my AC units started working improperly & not cooling my home. Instead of calling Andersen back as I normally would, I randomly chose & called another company to check my units 3 days later. That Tech immediately noticed that the Andersen tech had left the breaker off on my upstairs unit, causing it to blow only hot air. Therefore, the downstairs unit was trying to cool the entire house & the house was not reaching the temp I had it set on. The units ran approximately 24 hours a day. The Tech also found that the exhaust pipe was left off the furnace. A picture was taken of furnace. This could release carbon-monoxide when it came time for me to use heating. I believe this was done by the Andersen Tech to cause me to purchase 2 new units and furnace sooner rather than later. I no longer have any trust in Andersen! As of today, about 6 weeks later, my old units are still keeping my home cool.

Professional service, good value, on time, knowledgeable people, cleaned up worksite after the job was done. Jake analyzed my problem, gave possible solutions and we agreed to choose most practical solution (Did not push expensive option). Dalton and Shawn (install crew) came on time and did a great job. Dalton walked me through what work was completed and where the new items were installed. Impressed with quality, punctuality, good value and overall professional service. Will hire again if needed.

After living in Orlando, FL for thirty-two years, and working with the same A/C vendor for all of that time, finding a new one upon our move to Charlotte three years ago was at the top of the "to do" list, and we found that relationship with Andersen Heating & Cooling. I met with four different A/C & heating vendors and was most impressed with Andersen, so much so that we entered into a maintenance contract with them (which we had done with our prior vendor and strongly recommend). Our current unit was 12 years old and patched together we knew it wasn't long for this world. This past Friday, April 26th, Andersen installed a new Lennox unit in our home. The entire process was flawless and exceeded our expectations. Jake and Faiz were a great team. They phoned in the a.m., letting us know they were en route. They covered our floors and rugs to protect them from dirt and debris. They worked hard and non-stop for well over six hours straight - period. It's so easy to gripe and complain when something goes wrong, but we seldom take the time to shout out "kudos!" when something goes right or better than we anticipated Prior to departing, everything was clean and tidy. The unit was up and running and the difference was night and day in the home's humidity level alone. Jake demonstrated the thermostat and answered all of our questions. He even took us outside to point out how quiet the unit is. And this WAS important to us as our guest bedroom is on the other side of the wall where the outside unit is located. We couldn't be more pleased and truly, that is how we have felt about Andersen since their first visit to our home three years ago. We learned a long time ago that finding a good A/C and heating company is as vital as finding a good mechanic or doctor. You don't want to be making that kind of decision under pressure, especially when your equipment isn't working. Four thumbs up!

The service went very, we found that the price was very competitive, since it cover additional 2 visit on the fall and springtime, They actually met all our expectations. Very Professional, they actually removed their shoes when they entered our house, some of the workers wore a shoe cover even.

Last September, I had Andersen Heating and Cooling come and do routine maintenance on my furnace to get it ready for the winter. My A/C had been serviced that spring and was working fine. Andersen showed up and went to work on the furnace which is located in my attic. I went into my office to work on drafting a plat leaving him alone to do his job. He came to me later and showed me what appeared to be a leak in my A/C. He claimed it was there when he opened it up to look inside. His opinion was an expensive part needed replacement with a price of over $2200 including labor. This technician is unlicensed and unqualified to do mechanical work involving repair, replacement or installing the equipment he services. I let it go until this spring when I needed A/C again. I had the person who installed the system 3 years ago come and look at it for a second opinion. There was no leak and had never been one. All it needed was a Freon recharge and cleaning. No repairs or replacements needed. All professions or trades that require licenses have activities that don't require licensure. It is standard procedure so people right out of school can get the experience required to take the licensure exam. It is common. However, the technitian that installed my system used to work for Andersen. He didn't last one day. They tell applicants they can make $50k-$60k a year with $80k possible at a job that pays $12/hr. The only way to make the kind of money they promise is to sell and make commissions. Andersen trains new hires to lie to customers and even vandalize their machinery to make sales. The guy who installed my system quit and said "I kind of like to sleep at night". I will never have a maintenance contract again and advise anyone who has one to get a second opinion before replacing anything expensive especially if nothing is wrong before they get there. If you know any first time buyers or anyone considering a maintenance contract you might advise them to consider this.

Andersen was the builder's choice of installing the HVAC units in home in 2006. I kept them as my annual maintenance service and have been Extremely Pleased and satisfied with their service and professionalism. This includes the Technicians, Customer Service and Management at Andersen. On 11/15, Anderson Technicians, Omar and Elvis replaced the original units with New Lenox products. The work was done in a very timely manner; the technicians did an outstanding job with the installation and cleanup. My wife and I were extremely please with the work that was done and so far, extremely pleased with the Lenox Heaters. I am happy to be a reference for Andersen if requested. I use them for my personal air conditioning. I used them for 20 years. That's an annual service.

The service was excellent and professional.

We pay a yearly contract. We've been going back to them, we've been using them for 20 years. It is expensive, yeah. They're on time. They show up when they say, and they do the stuff they say they'll do. There is usually one worker who comes to do the work. They make sure that things are nice and tidy when they are finished with their work.

I've been using them for years. They've always came when they said they were coming, they call ahead of time let you know they are on their way and they've always sent very qualified, very friendly people and they take care of it and if I've ever had any issues they come back and don't charge me anything for any tune up pipe work, if it's something major obviously they're gonna charge you. They've always been very responsive.

They were excellent. We are very happy with their services. I have a service contract with them. They come out right away when we need them. We intend to use them again.

The A/C stopped blowing cold air so they added freon. They installed the unit on a new construction and at first we used them for warranty work but we have continued to use them since. We've used them for 14 years.

Great. Always more expensive than these seniors would like, but such is life.

very happy with the service technician Julie. Very professional and knowledgeable. Felt confident that our Heating and AC unit was serviced well. She explain what she was doing and what it did. Love that. I will ask that she continue to come back for further service if needed. We had another popular company come out before, does not compare to this company. Happy I called Andersen heating and cooling.

I started using them in 1986 and I will continue to use them.

Refused to give a price for Puron per pound. I would have to pay $89 service fee just to find out I was being over charged.

2 hours after my call to Andersen Wayne Langley and Wayne Jr were at my door to complete the work. They went above and beyond and were extremely polite and professional. Definite kudos to those two! The cost of service was definitely more than others, but they had the work done within a few hours of my call.. and that is service!

The Waynes were on time and very professional and polite. Anderson may not be the cheapest but it is worth a bit more money to have a professional who shows up when they say they are going to show up, is competent, and respectful and polite.

Our prior HVAC system was a Trane brand approximately 18 years old. Andersen installed a new Lennox 4-ton A/C and 93% 100,000 BTU furnace. Checked and resealed all ducts. Installed new condensate pump. Provided 10-year parts, 2-year labor plus one year complementary preventive maintenance. All work was completed as promised. Andersen was exceptionally good at working with our schedule. The original timeline was set for a July installation, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, the work had to be postponed until October. Andersen was very good about staying in touch and working with us to get the job completed as we needed it. Ed McGrath was the company representative and spent as much time as we needed explaining the various installation options available. The "Wayne" team handled the hands-on work and we could not have asked for a better installation team. The office support staff was also very professional and helped worked through our scheduling problems. I would not hesitate to use this company again for future installation work and I look forward to working with them on a continuing basis for semiannual checkups.

They were pretty good. Their technicians seem very competent. They're on time. I didn't have any problems. They were A grade company. I think they're average cost.

Wayne and his son were excellent workers. I asked many questions and they answered them all. They showed and explained the furnace, new thermostat and intake filter. They even vacuumed before they left. We had a service contract from the previous owner which was honored and because they installed the new system, they added another inspection to our service agreement we purchased in June.---much appreciated. Very plesed with the service we received including office people we talked to. Ed was the tech who came last week to service our furnace and he explained how the furnace would need work in the future. I was out of town and Ed talked to me over the phone what he had told my husband. The furnace was 11 yrs old and our house inspector when we bought the house said furnaces last 10-15 yrs. Couldn't be happier with Andersen Heating and Cooling.
