Description of Work: This company ran all new water lines to an older home and installed a new hot water heater. There has been no problems so far. Note: Date of service was an approximation. The remodel occurred throughout the summer and fall of 2013.

Description of Work: I was having trouble with hot water heater "overheating" though it turns it was just a bad temperature and pressure relief valve. I contacted them via their website and they came promptly the next morning and said I needed to install an expansion tank. We scheduled that for a couple of days out. Unfortunately, they were supposed to be there by 10am that day. They called at 10:38am to say they were running late. They eventually showed up at 12:30. | |The expansion tank did not fix my problem either. I Googled the problem and found that usually when the TPR valve leaks and makes noise that it has gone bad. I went to a hardware store, bought a new one for $15 and replaced it myself. | |So, I am glad to have the expansion tank. This is something that is apparently required on newer homes and I think it's good that I'm up to date on this. However, that was not the problem I was having plus they were about 2 1/2 hours late and didn't let me know they would be late until 40 minutes past when they were already supposed to be there.

Excellent experience!
Description of Work: Installed a dishwasher and cleaned out and repaired an outside sewer pipe for my 81 year old mother. Very professional, excellent service, senior discount. Was very pleased. Mary is awesome. I appreciate a company that spends the money to have someone answer the phone or respond quickly when you leave a message. Found them on Angie's List after calling two other plumbers that were personally referred to me. One plumber never returned 2 phone messages that were left. The other did not have a professional message on their voicemail saying they were a plumber, so I never left a message. We will definitely be using All About the Pipes again.

Description of Work: These services are continued from previous work done in the past. I called Mary and scheduled the work to be done on this day with the above quote of $679.00. This quote included 3 hours of work at about $150 an hour and $240 in parts of 30 feet of pvc piping at $8 foot. Dan and Doug were scheduled to show up at 8am but did not show up until 830am. However, they called just before 8am to explain running late due to weather and traffic. Upon arrival, they got right to work. My drain field for my washing machine was saturated causing the piping to back up and not drain. They were going to reroute the drain to the septic system. They cut the original 2 inch pvc pipe and capped it off so as not to leak. They then rerouted the piping to the septic system with 3 inch pvc pipe to bring it up to code. They tested the work by running the washing machine, and it drained perfectly with no leaking from the pipes. This work was all done above ground under the crawl space. They finished in about an hour and a half but I paid the full quote price. However, they stayed about 2 1/2 hours to check on previous work and help with some small items. They also did not charge me last time for as many hours. This causes things to even out in my book. They were professional and courteous and completely cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions and explained exactly what they were doing with no surprises. I love and trust this company and will continue to use them in the future.

Description of Work: I just completed having a new well dug at my house and turned the water back on with increased water pressure. However, I then noticed a leak somewhere behind my bathroom shower. I heard the leak and then saw the water in my crawl space under my house. I turned the water back off and researched plumbers on Angie's list. I decided to call All About The Pipes Plumbing, Inc. on Monday 12/3/2012. I am glad I did to. Mary answered the phone and was very helpful and courteous. She said she could have someone at the house on Wednesday 12/5/2012 at 8am for sure or could have someone at the house on Tuesday 12/4/2012 but would call 30 minutes before arriving which I said was ok. However, she called back later that morning and said someone could now be out there by 1pm which was great. Doug called at 1230pm and said would be here at 130 after lunch, and he arrived right on time. Doug was professional and courteous and even took his shoes off every time he came into the house. He came in and got to work right away and worked diligently until 330pm. He located the leak as just the result of increased pressure causing already bad regulators on my broken shower to turn on and not be able to be turned off causing water to run from pipe inside the wall. Since I had a plumber inside the house, I decided to have a broken shower fixed which had a pipe break off behind the wall, 2 leaky faucets needing replaced, 2 new fill valves in back of toilets, 2 new supply lines on toilets with 1 already leaking, a leaking outdoor spigot, and a clogged drain hose on washing machine. Today he removed broken shower pipe from inside the wall and discovered both regulators on shower needed replacing, put fill valve in 1 toilet and removed supply line from same toilet, removed faucet from 1 sink. He then explained to me exactly what he found and what work needed to be done, what parts were needed, and what the approximate cost would be along with answering all of my questions. He was honest in the fact as he could have gone and got some parts today to fix the shower and have my water back on but said it would cost an extra $200.00 because of drive time but could pick up the parts for free before he came back over. Doug was wonderful. He will be back at 8am on Wednesday 12/5/2012 to finish all work. Doug returned on time on 12/5/2012 to finish the work. He completed all above mentioned work without any problems, cleaned up after himself fairly well, and was very courteous and professional throughout the process. He did state that there was no blockage within the washing machine drain pipe. The problem was that the drain field was saturated and would not drain. They would need to reroute the piping to the septic system. I spoke with Mary and Doug over the next several days to obtain a quote. They will be coming on Wednesday 12/26/2012 to do the work. The shower works but is now dripping again like before. They will fix free of charge when coming out to do the washing machine drain pipe. I will write a new review for that work. I was thoroughly pleased with this company.
