 + -1 moreDisappointed in response to a plumbing emergency. Provider's response below about not having a record of my call is silly because she took it on her cell phone while not in her office. To make a comment like that to make it seem as though I never called is unprofessional. When I realized she was unwilling to help, I politely asked her if I could talk to Chris and she refused. My issue is was not with Chris and the other plumbers, just Mary G.
Description of Work: They do very good work, but if you have an emergency they'll refer you elsewhere because they're so booked up. I had a broken toilet which resulted in having to turn the water supply off to the house, but said they couldn't fit me in until the next afternoon, maybe.

 + -1 moreA plumber came out and he was excellent. They came out the next day after I called, he looked it over and said, "lets try this..." He knew it was a more expensive way to do it but he went the cheaper route for me. Crew was prompt and courteous and got the job done. They saved me money, they saved me over $3000 dollars, it wasn't an easy job. They replaced pipes underneath to stop the overflowing water.
Description of Work: My washing machine was too powerful for the stack and over flowing the laundry room.

 + -1 moreWe called ABOUT THE PIPES PLUMBING INC and got an answering machine but they returned our call quickly. He said that he would be at our home at 8:30am on Wednesday. Wednesday morning he called to say he was on his way. He removed his shoes when he came in and proceeded to our bathroom where he tried several things to see what was wrong. He was able to fix the problem within an hours time. He cleaned up as he went. We are very happy with ALL ABOUT THE PIPES PLUMBING INC and will call on them again if needed. The second time we had an emergency and needed to have our toilet fixed where we had accidentally broken a pipe that had not been fixed correctly by a different plumbing service to begin with. The plumber was on a call in another city at the time but as soon as he could complete his job at the current home he came to our house and was able to fix our problem. We definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a plumber and we will use them again when needed.
Description of Work: On our first call to ALL ABOUT THE PIPES PLUMBING INC we had a problem with the hot water faucet in bathroom sink (no hot water pressure). The second time we needed their services was to fix a pipe leading to the toilet.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreExcellent. We found the technicians to be extremely polite, informative about what needed to be done, and very clean and professional in their work habits. We would highly recommend this company to another homeowner.
Description of Work: Our hot water system completely shut down, leaving us with cold water only. We called All About the Pipes Plumbing Inc which we had used before, finding them from Angie's List. The dispatcher (Mary) was very sympathetic to our situation and scheduled us for early the next day with a positive attitude. Promptly the next morning at 8:00 am the technicians (Paul Glover and Chris Murphy) arrived. They immediately found the problem, and identified another issue and then fixed it after fully explaining the issue to us. All the work was covered under their company warranty.

 + -1 moreThe company installed a Toto brand toilet about 7 months ago. The bolts holding the tank to the bowl became loose a few weeks ago. I would have done the repair myself but the bolts were hard to reach and I did not have the proper tools. I called the company and they arranged to have Chris stop by between other jobs that same day. He fixed it in a matter of minutes at no charge (they warranty their installations for 2 years).
Description of Work: Tightened bolts that attach the toilet tank to the bowl.

 + -1 moreThe co. responded quickly, and was on time, if running late always called. Doug was very professional, and knew his plumbing. Fixed the garden tub which was a cracked drain, and was finally able to unclog the pipes. Doug did have to come back a second day with a larger snake. We were thrilled that he did not have to go thru the downstairs ceiling, as that would have been drywall work. We know how lucky we are to have built this house 17 years ago, and never had to call a plumber, but now have one if we have another plumbing problem.
Description of Work: Upstairs leak that was leaking thru the ceiling to the first level. It was an area my husband could not get to. Turned out there was a clog that was flooding when running water from main bath sinks. The garden tub also leaked.

 + 0 moreThe major job was to ascertain why my powder room toilet had flooded. Chris came out within hours of my initial call that morning. By the end of the day, they (three, including Chris' initial visit & estimate) had snaked the sewer line (a root had grown across it and was causing the backup), replaced the old toilet (which they were able to provide from inventory in their warehouse), repaired a leak in my master bath, and replaced the float for the toilet in yet another bathroom. In all, work was done in all of the bathrooms of the house. Chris and team were not only professional, but a true pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Needed to find the source of a back up problem; repair a leak in the master bath; replace the float in the toilet of another bathroom.

 + -1 moreWhen we had our first plumbing problem, we joined Angie's List to find a plumber. It is nice to know that we now have someone reliable to call on if we have any future plumbing needs. Paul was polite and friendly. He called on his way to the house, as Mary had promised. He quickly diagnosed the problem & got to fixing it. Paul went to get the supplies he needed & finished the job quickly & efficiently. He also educated me a lot about plumbing--shows his experience!--so that I can know more about the inner workings of my house. When I asked him questions about other plumbing (i.e. the hot water heater) he answered my questions thoroughly without putting on a heavy sales pitch. I don't know if we could have gotten the same service for less, but to have the peace of mind that we won't have any water damage to our house, I'm willing to pay what it takes to fix the problem & it took the "scare" out of calling a plumber to have such quality service.
Description of Work: All About the Pipes had done some work for us 3 weeks ago. When we started having a similar problem--our kitchen sink was gurgling whenever we would use water upstairs, esp. the washer--over the weekend, I put a call in to the company again. They were here by early afternoon, yes the same day! Paul Glover came back to see what needed to be done & it turned out that the pipes under our house were back flowing (which is why the drain needed to be cleaned out at their first visit.) (It was due to lazy plumbing from our builders 10 years ago, and not the first time we've paid for them cutting corners!) He needed to cut out & rework some of the pipes & shift the direction that water leaves from our washer upstairs. (It had been going through our sink, which was to code, but not the best scenario for our home.) He even fixed a small leak that was under the house, away from it. He tested his work before leaving by running all of the faucets, etc. & then checking underneath the house.

 + -1 moreThe plumbers arrived at my house a few minutes early and were very nice and polite. They explained why my toilet was leaking and fixed it. I thought that I had a leak in the wall because of discoloration in the baseboard. They went under the house to look for damage and determined that there was no leak. They explained why the discoloration was happening and what I could do to prevent it. They even told me how to check my meter to see if I have a leak in the future which no plumber has ever pointed out to me before.
Description of Work: Fixed a leak in the toilet and checked for a leak in the wall.
