All About The Pipes Plumbing

Our water heaters went on the evening of 1/5/11. I used Angies List to narrow my selection of vendors to 3. I contacted All About Pipes first as I liked their size of company. Christopher Vigna the owner came out promptly on 1/6/11 and reviewed my situation. We went to a natural gas tankless water heater versus traditional water heater tanks and he prepared a quote that he got to me a couple hours later. His quote was reasonable as I had priced these a couple years earlier and he also recommended the latest and best technology in tankless water heaters. They installed the tankless water heater on 1/7/11 and to say the least the family was happy again with hot water. This was very impressive because they did not take advantage of our situation and the loss of our water heaters in our home on price or service. Very impressive and saved me the hassle of calling 2 or 3 places. I would recommend these guys in the heartbeat and I would use All About the Pipes again. This is the way you are suppose to do business. Great job!!

Crews showed up at prearranged time and date, and completed work in one day as promised. It took several days to get final inspection, due to the holidays. It was a minor inconvenience to not have hot water in the kitchen for most of the two days the inspection was scheduled, but we did have hot water at night. We had requested protection for our carpet that had to be crossed to access one of the heaters, and I'm glad we did. It would have been a disaster if we hadn't. The plastic got very dirty, and even though the workers were careful we did get some dirt on the carpet, fortunately it vacumed up. If these heaters last as long as the previous ones we will be happy. All the people involved ( I think it was 6 ), were professional and made an effort to keep our house clean (no shoes, etc.).

Very well! He was punctual and very personable. I had a leaking toilet. It took about 2 minutes for him to find the problem and another 5 to fix it. As the repair was so simple & quick I took the opportunity to access his expertise regarding new toilets (mine are 26 years old) and a new water heater (mine's 12 years old) for future replacements/upgrades.

They are really good and did a great job. They were really nice and I felt comfortable with them working at our home. I would recommend them to anyone.

I came home late in the evening and noticed the sound of water in a back bedroom. An outside spigot is on the other side of the wall so I went outside to see if the spigot was leaking and it was not. I noticed water coming from beneath the siding planks and immediately turned off the main since the water leak was obviously hidden in the wall. I called All About The Pipes and they said that they could have someone out later in the day and would give me a 30 minute warning so I could meet them. Within 20 minutes, Paul called and asked for the details of the problem. I told him what I observed and he said that he was on his way. He got here and did some basic troubleshooting, i.e. checked the nipple in the wall for a leak, etc. He determined that it was in the wall and would have to cut the wall from the inside or the outside. I chose the inside since I was comfortable with doing dry wall repair. He cut a very neat square out of the drywall and exposed the leak. He immediately fixed the leak. The drywall panel fit right in place and I was able to repair with a few drywall screws and some joint compound. Paul was great. He was very expedient and fixed the problem without wasting any time.

Great! The prompt return phone call was so nice, even with Christmas a week away!

We emailed for a service appointment on a Sunday night and were called to schedule the next day. We were able to get in within the week. Our plumber Paul, called the day of service with an arrival estimate (that was earlier than expected) and even called back to let me know he'd be 3 minutes behind schedule (but still technically way ahead). Paul was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, punctual and efficient. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, fix it and be on his way within an hour. I would highly recommend All About The Pipes to anyone needing plumbing repairs.

The day after Thanksgiving I noticed what I thought was food (from garbage disposal) backed up into shower/tubs. I called All About the Pipes and the very nice lady on the phone told me it sounded like a sewage backup and would be about $175/hr. I was able to get someone to come out that day. He was very nice and courteous (even took off his shoes before entering the house). He checked the showers/tubs and all of the faucets (in addition to our outside lines) to see where the back up was coming from and determined that it was from the garbage disposal and the clog had actually worked itself out. Since he didn't actually have to do anything with the sewage system, I was only charged for a service call, about $79.00 and on top of that he gave me my Angie's List discount. He also took the time to tell me where my sewage line came out and how the clog occurred in the first place. I was extremely pleased with the service, fairness, and honesty of the worker and the company. I will not hesitate to call All About the Pipes for any future plumbing needs.

I love them. I like that they answer the phone. He tells me when he is coming. They do what they say and show up when they they say they will. I have no problems with any of the work they have done.

Excellent experience. Prompt, courteous and professional. The heater they recommended works great. We had a small problem after the installation and they made more than 1 trip out to be sure it was fixed to our satisfaction. Highly recommended.

After a particularly cold night, my husband discovered a leak in the garage coming from our water softener/filtration system just as he was leaving for work. I had never had to call a plumber before and was a little nervous and unsure of what to expect, but my worries were alleviated almost as soon as I made the phone call. From the time I phoned All About the Pipes to the completion of the job, only a few hours passed. The woman who answered my call was courteous and well-spoken, and she promised that someone would be out to take care of the issue as soon as possible, though she couldn't give me an exact time just then. I went out to run some errands and was pleasantly surprised when Paul phoned just before noon to say he was 5 minutes away. He arrived at the house before I did and had already resolved the main problem (involving a frozen pipe) and replaced the rusty water shut-off valve (as I had also requested) by the time I arrived. I asked if he'd be willing to perform one other non-emergency task (bypassing the old water neutralizer that we no longer needed), and he set right to it. The whole job was completed in just under an hour, the workmanship was excellent, Paul was friendly and professional, and we were given an Angie's List discount. I was very happy with the experience and will definitely call them again when needed.

We woke up to a broken water heater and water saturating our carpets. I called at 7:15 in the morning and by 8:05 the man from All About the Pipes was at my house. He looked at the problem, gave me a price we agreed upon. I had a new water heater installed before noon. They were extremely courteous and cleaned up perfectly after.

I had a great experience with them. The plumber was really professional. I would highly recommend them. I ended up spending $200 on the job. I liked them a lot. They did a little more than the other plumbers. I will use them again in the future.

I called the office number and left a message for after hours. I received a call back within 10 minutes and I tried to find a way to not have the company come out since it was the weekend. After discovering where the leak was located and determining that there was no shut off other than turning off all water main, the person from All About the Pipes gave my number to the on call person. He replied promptly and came out to the house that night to make the repair. The entire process was handled promptly and professionally and that is why I continue to use this company for all of my plumbing needs. I used to be on call with work so I do not take it lightly when I need someone to come out after hours or a weekend. I really appreciate the fact that I could make contact with a company so quickly and get a response. The cost was very reasonable as well.

Brian arrived exactly when he said he would be there. When he realized that it was more serious than he thought, he did not, as I would have expected, tell me that they would have to come back another time. Instead, he rolled up his sleeves and worked non-stop for for over 2 hours. He was professional, friendly, and creative. Plus, he was just a good guy to have working in your house. They worked me into their schedule during a busy holiday week and did a fantastic job for a very resonable price. I guarantee that you will be pleased if Brian shows up to tackle your plumbing problem.

They came out for the quoting and they were very, very friendly. We have liked working with them. We had problems that weren't their fault, the wrong tub was delivered and we had to reorder, then the wrong tub was installed. We got other quotes and they were a little less expensive.

After a delayed start (I had to call their office), youthful plumber arrived and promptly fixed leaks, hot water heater. He was not able to fix problem with "blended" hot and cold water. At first he did not seem to think it was real which is understandable since I was not able to demonstrate it. At my suggestion he looked at single handle faucet as culprit and admitted that these devices could cause such problems. But he was not able to get handle off without running risk of breaking something so we decided not to pursue the issue.

Excellent. The contractor was on time, called to let me know he was on the way, courteous, quickly diagnosed problems and got to work. Had to cut wall but removed minimal amount and neatly so the wall patch will be easy. Leaking laundry faucets were an easy fix and showed me what to do next time I have the problem. Third time I have used All About the Pipes and have always been pleased with work

I have used All About the Pipes twice before for different services, and I continue to be impressed with their work ethic, professionalism, and ability to fix anything I've thrown at them in very short time. On this particular visit, Chris was sent to clean out my sink drain, which was 100% clogged. Although it is a fairly simple procedure, Chris was very professional, always removed his shoes before coming into the house, very friendly, and explains very clearly what was happening and how to prevent it in the future. After he snaked the drain the first time, it was still draining slow, so he repeated it and checked to make sure the drain was working at full capacity before leaving. I should also mention that Chris, as well as the other employees that have worked in my house, always do a good job of cleaning up before they go, which is not always the case with all plumbers. There is not another plumber in Charlotte I would call before All About the Pipes. I am now a loyal customer.

I have been extremely pleased with this company and have used them before in the past. Brian was courteous, professional, honest and efficient. Although my problem was small, he treated it with the upmost importance. They seem to take great pride in their services. I would use them again in the future!

My husband noticed a few very wet spots around our crawlspace door. We are older so my neighbor volunteered to go into the crawlspace to take a look. He said there were a few puddles of water near the door so we called All About the Pipes. They came out the next day, fixed the leak and recommended we call Greenpoint Restoration to get the crawlspace cleaned and dried. We have used All About the Pipes before and as usual they were very professional and reasonably priced.

Dan was great , job took about a half hour. He cvleaned up everything and the faucet worked great

Talked to the woman and she gave me the price and said they had a Technician in the area. They came the same day and installed a new pressure regulator. Our water pressure is normal now. All the people I delt with were very polite and professional. I would reccomend them to anyone. I will call on them again when I am in need of a plumber.

If I had not contacted the other plumber, I would have paid $1,350 to All About The Pipes to correct a problem that was resolved by another plumber for $638. As it was, I paid All About The Pipes $435 for no results which amounted to me spending a total of $1,073 when I could have resolved the issue for $638 if I contacted the other plumber first. To make matters worse, the piping that All About The Pipes disassembled to cable the kitchen sink started to leak after they left. To their credit, they promptly came out and fixed the leak that they created after I contacted them. They also spilled drain cleaner on my porch and carport floor. I have tried to pressure wash the stains that they left to no avail. I have left two messages for the owner to call me so that I could discuss my experience with his company prior to posting this report but he has not returned my calls. Instead the Service Technician that performed the work was instructed to return my call. I have previously used All About The Pipes and had a positive experience. I even submitted a report and gave them an A. However, based on this recent experience and my exposure to one of their competitors, I can no longer recommend them to anyone. The messages that I left made it very clear that I wanted to speak with the owner.
