They double checked everything. At no charge the owner came out a few days later to see if there would be any remedies for excessive rainfall in the future. They are always punctual and good at explaining things in layman's terms. Their prices are fair. They are honest people and are very good at what they do.

All About Pipes was very accommodating to my schedule. Doug arrived on time and call to let me know he was on his way. He identified the problem fairly fasted and gave me suggestions that saved me some money when I replaced the facet.

The entire experience with this company could not have gone better! Mary, the office manager, never failed to be responsive and helpful. She made sure the proposal was accurate and that the work was scheduled promptly. The electrician came to the house days before the installation to be certain we would have the extra power the new pump would need. Two plumbers and the electrician arrived on time and worked all day removing the old pump, changing the power supply, installing a new grinder waste ejection pump and connecting the alarm. They were courteous and answered all my questions.

They called 25 minutes prior to my appointment, and when I said I was available, they arrived early. Did the work and was out of my home in 35 minutes. I was very satisfide with the work, the price and the employee that worked on my tubs. Will definietly use them again. This was the 3rd time I have used them for different problems and not once have I had an issue of poor work. Excellent work and company.

They came in and determine my leaking toilet was just due to a loose screw. They went ahead and looked at another toilet that was moving while there. Determined a piece was broken. The replaced the part and the toilet is perfect now.

When we called, the phone was answered by a real person which is always a plus. We were able to get an estimate over the phone and appointment for the very next morning. John called to let us know he was on the way and then arrived promptly at the appointed time. He was careful to not damage anything and cleaned up after the work was done so that you'd never know he'd been there. He completed the work very quickly. John was friendly and courteous and answered all of our questions. It was clear that he was a very knowledgeable and skilled professional in all respects. The price for the job was exactly what had been quoted. The experience was everything you would want and expect from a service call of this type. We will be repeat customers.

Everything went ok. I can't say the performance of the heater is great but the company was fine.

I got new countertops and needed to have my faucets and dishwasher reconnected. My decorator arranged for All About the Pipes to do the work. The plumber that came out was very prompt and very nice, although he did spend a lot of time checking his phone and texting. The first time they came out they said everything was reconnected and ready to go. I asked the plumber if he could test the dishwasher and he said he did not know how. So I started a cycle and heard what I thought was water and assumed it was working. About ten minutes after they left I turned on one of the faucets and it was not tightly secured (it was very loose and "wobbly") so I called them to come back out. They did come back out and reconnect it properly the next day. Then when I went to cut on the dishwasher it did not work. The water was not even connected. I ended up calling my own plumber and had them check everything and they made some adjustments and connected the dishwasher properly. When I called All About The Pipes to discuss the bill and see if they would discount the charge for connecting the dishwasher I left a message and was told the owner would call me back. He did not. I will stick with my own plumber - they are more expensive but very professional and they get the job done correctly the first time.

Repairs were promptly and properly performed. Doug was very courteous and friendly, and clearly had knowledge and skills that weremore than adequate. All About The Pipes Plumbing will be my first call for future plumbing needs.

Doug was very professional and answered every question that I had with patience and knowledge. Work was completed according to schedule and the area was left in as good or better shape than it was before the job began. A new "flower box" was installed in the front yard and when I commented that it may be clipped by the lawn mower, Doug quickly adjusted it even though it required digging up what dirt had just been put back around the box. Finding the primary water supply line had required at least three hours of digging. Great customer service. I am extremely satisfied with Doug and the owner Chris. The estimate was exact (partly by chance) even with the potential issues surrounding the fluctuating water pressure. This was great considering some retail chains were only willing to "ball park" the costs unless I paid a fee for them to come on-site.

Mostly satisfactory experience from what appears to be a good company of professionals. These folks always answer their phones and speak in plain, clear terms without attempting to fool anyone. The initial visit was punctual and quick. I did not have to wait days for an appointment. On the visit, the technician who came out was very knowledgeable and was willing to give a general idea of the most likely course of action and ballpark estimate of costs. I cannot stress enough how valuable that ballpark estimate is. Many contractors won't do it, especially for optional services. In this case the service was not optional, but having a sense of what this should cost was comforting. I felt I did not need to shop around but, with that knowledge, I could (esp. because Angie's list already did more or less) and that was nice. After that a few minor problems came up. On the first visit to do the work, they could not find a spot near the house where they would tie in the new water main. They dug a couple trenches but hard rain stopped them short. It was a Thursday (3/10). I asked if they could come back on 3/11. They said they could not because the ground would not be dry enough; I disagreed but thought this reasonable. They told me they could come back Tuesday 3/15. I asked for Saturday, but staffing was not available for Saturday and the overtime cost would have been prohibitive. I looked at the weather which called for rain Monday night and thought "Well that means they won't come out on Tuesday!" I made that argument but was told that no rain was in the forecast. Finally we negotiated for work Monday after lunch. Thank goodness! Because it did not rain Monday but rained h****** Tuesday! They brought out a machine to help detect where my water line was and it brought them right back to the corner they'd started in. They simply had to dig deeper! Good news, but kind of silly! Why not dig down deep enough to begin with? I was relieved when the water was restored on Monday! An expansion box was installed on Tuesday and the inspector came that day! By Friday our lawn was filled in and they spread seed and straw. Also I wasn't crazy about them pushing me to install PEX over copper. While PEX may be a suitable product, there is some debate on the web about the chances of bacteria growing in the line if PEX is used. Maybe it's not a legitimate concern but it bothered me to have that doubt. We went with copper which was only slightly more expensive. They did not argue when I called for copper, but simply made it so. However, having looked at the costs, I know they wanted me to use PEX because their margin is MUCH better on that material. Apart from scheduling and difficulty finding my line, they did pretty good work. I think they dug two trenches when they only needed one, unless they actually took away the old water main line. When actually working, they were fairly fast and efficient. They were able to start and finish the job, including boring under my driveway to avoid breaking it up, essentially in one afternoon. They were always polite and always concerned about doing things right and staying on top of current codes. They worked without complaint even on the first day when it rained. Not perfect. But I'll say thanks anyway. You did a good job at what I think is a fair price. Glad to have the water back on!

I was very satisfied with the technician they sent out. I was concerned about my gas water heater because of its age (about 20 years!) and he inspected it for me. Rather than tell me to replace it because of its age, he just recommended I have it flushed instead. He was very informative, knowledgable and easy to work with. I really appreciated that he showed up on time. I would use All About the Pipes again!

All About the Pipe's diagnosis revealed a leaking water line, and that my water-heater was fine. So instead of spending $1,000 to not fix my problem, Chris and Co. gave me the right solution. While it would have been easy to sell me something I did not need, they dug deeper and found the real problem. One that was so complex it required out-of-the-box thinking and the dedication of three visits and the engagement of a structural engineer to make certain the fix was done right. Take my chances with any other plumber? I don't think so.

This is a college condo rental, and we had received a very high water bill. Called the company and was told they could get to our problem that morning. Technician, John Russell, was there by 10:00 a.m. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took kitchen faucet apart, cleaned calcium deposits and tightened retaining nut - saving us having to replace this faucet. Also, replaced "guts" of one toilet which was running erratically, and check all other faucets and toilets. We are very happy with the prompt service and complete explanations given for the problems we were having.

Excellent company-- would recommend to anyone and would definitely use again. Very responsive right from the start-- timely communications via phone and email. Very knowledgeable and personable plumber came out for the estimate and repairs-- took the time to explain all of the issues in an understandable manner.

We spent $3600 on that service. We decided to use them because they were ranked high on the list and then we contacted a number of different suppliers and we liked the product they had and how responsive they were.

They were excellent as always. I've recommended them and used them in the past. They give a good service at reasonable prices. They are very persistent in fixing the problem which was great for how difficult my plumbing issues were. They really earned their paycheck.

I spent $2000 on that service. I had a main water leak on my property and the city passed it off to me real easy and no one could find the actual copper piping, so they had to chew up the yard and put in a new water main going into the house and they did a fabulous job. They were just awfully nice and they did a very complete job. They were very honest and the pricing was very reasonable.

I first used Chris and All About the Pipes when Chris first came to Charlotte...he made an emergency call on a Sunday and quickly solved the problem. (water all over the floor of a closet.) In May of 2010, my hot water heater started boiling. When the cut off lever couldn't be located, Chris personally came out immediately and cut off the water heater and rearranged the schedule for the afternoon to get me a water heater in ASAP. This week's visit was very professional as well. John, the technician, was right on time and was very, very thorough. Some of the issues weren't what they seemed at first. He found and solved ALL the problems. What a professional!

Everything about our experience with All About the Pipes was superb. From our first meeting for our estimate to our last phone with Mary, the entire staff are geared towards customer satisfaction. They came well equipped with pamphlets and information and were very knowledgable about the newer products on the market.
