I have used this company many times. They are prompt, thorough, pleasant and professional. They describe what they are going to do in advance and the estimated cost. They are always clean and remove their shoes in the house.
Description of Work: Two repairs were performed. One was a toilet that kept running after being flushed. Chris rebuilt the fill valve and flapper. The other was a toilet that wouldn't flush completely. He augured the drain and adjusted the fill valve.

They answered the call promptly, set up an appointment, and kept it, AND did a great job! Very happy to say that I am happy!!! This is the fourth time we have used their services, as they are professional, fair, and competent. And, the technicians are very nice, too. Thanks, Chris!
Description of Work: The technician, Chris, did a quick and thorough job of our kitchen faucet repair, after our (the homeowner) not being able to keep the lines tight and secure. He re-tightened everything, put in new supply lines that we were unable to do ourselves, double checked for leaks, and made sure the sprayer was straight. They answered the call promptly, set up an appointment, and kept it, AND did a great job!

Our experience wit All About the Pipes Plumbing was terrific from start to finish. Owner Chris came to provide the initial estimates for both jobs and was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, patient and friendly. Simply put, his approach and demeanor put you at ease and give you peace of mind that you're dealing with an honest and fair businessperson. Chris quickly identified the root cause of a vexxing plumbing issue that another plumber from another company (who shall go nameless) missed completely, which ended up causing us more money in eventual repairs since the previous plumber badly misdiagnosed the plubming problem. The All About the Pipes Plumbing crew did a quick and efficient installation of our new bathroom sink faucet. Next the All About the Pipes Plumbing team removed our 50-gallon hot water heater in our attic and installed a new one with a WAGS valve (a good investment if your hot water heater is in an attic where it could cause major damage if it leaked to lower floors.) The entire crew (about 4 guys) was professional and courteous. They also took great care of our property, ensuring no damage to our doors, floors or attic stairs mechanism, which was no easy feat considering the new hot water heater tank was only 1 inch smaller than the attic stairs opening. They brought everything up to code and explained how to use and troubleshoot the new hot water heater. The price was competitive compared to other plumbers and based on the quality of the work they performed, using All About the Pipes Plumbing was a very good value. I highly recommend hiring All About the Pipes Plumbing for your next plumbing job or equipment installation.
Description of Work: We hired All About the Pipes Plumbing initially to replace a leaky faucet that was dripping from a second floor bathroom into the ceiling and wall of the bathroom beneath it. That initial installation went very smoothly. We then hired All About the Pipes Plumbing to install a 50-gallon hot water heater in our attic, complete with a Water And Gas Safety (WAGS) valve. They also removed the old 50-gallon tank which was 12 years old and threatening to fail.

Had a mysterious swamp appear in the front yard... Could not see any water main leak by watching the water main. Figured it was the sewer line. Had a camera inspection of sewer line to look for damage and determine where to dig up. Started the process of digging at suspected leaking joint & found nothing. Dug up the water line and found a poorly repaired joint. Gave me the option of patching or replacing water line and adding isolation valve & surge tank - which I opted to do. They gave me a credit for the camera search of the sewer. Their customer service is excellent. It was always easy to contact them and talk through the options and what to do. Chris showed up to assess the problem and quote the same day I called and the camera inspection was done in 2 days. We had to postpone the first repair by 2 days as the technician was ill, but that was no problem and I agreed to this in advance. The technicians were very professional, on time and did good work. I could not mark my irrigation lines and in the process of digging up the water line they accidentally hit the irrigation line. I noticed this when I turned the irrigation system on and called them. Even though their contract says I would be responsible they went ahead an fixed it for me which was above and beyond. Overall they were great to work with!

This was one of the best experiences I have had with any service provider. From the initail call they were on site within two hours. Their rep, Bill, listened to what we have observed, took a look at the issue and provided details on what he found and how he would repair it. He completed the repair to the main line and fixed the kitchen issue while waiting on the glue to dry on the repair. He was very conscious lf making sure everything worked correctly and made sure that he cleaned up everything when he was through. He reviewed in detail the charges and made sure we understood the warranty on the work he did. Extremely cordial and professional in all he provided us. Will definitely use them again.

All About the Pipes analyzed the possibilities, explained them clearly and gave me a range of how much the repairs would cost. The final price came in at the low end of the estimate. The analysis and work were both extensive, including sending a camera through the lines and replacing the main line in the front yard. When all was said and done, the repairs took several days. The workers were on time and communicative each day. Finally, the repairs worked. I have waited a few months to review to make sure everything was fixed correctly. It was. Highly recommend this business.
Description of Work: After a recent renovation, 2 of our new toilets kept backing up. All About the Pipes showed me where the pipes installed by another company for the master bath were not falling at the correct angle. They fixed that problem quickly, creating a more efficient route for the pipe. The guest toilet was a separate issue, though. Ultimately, All About the Pipes dug up our front yard and replaced a 50 yr old main line that had a dip in it. They showed me the camera going through the line and explained what I was seeing. I felt like part of the team, and they only moved forward with the replacement after I was comfortable with the process. In addition, they needed to remove part of a basement ceiling to attack the guest bath issue. When they did, again, they showed me the issue (caused by another plumber - and missed by a county inspector, apparently). They also recommended a drywall repairman, who didn't do that great of a job, but the drywall guy ended up not charging me at all.

I noticed the floor behind the toilet in my hall bath was damp. I don't use it much, so I had no idea how long it had been that way. All About The Pipes came and identified that the water source was leaking and replaced the hose. He also found another slow leak and remedied that as well. Everything was explained clearly then (I just don't recall all the details now). His diagnosis was completely different than what I originally thought was wrong, but there's no more leak. He was prompt, courteous, and thorough.

I tried 2 big name companies first. I explained that I wanted to replace my old whole house electric water heater with a similar electric one. Both companies' representatives pressured me to buy a gas in-line heater, instead of electric. This would have cost $2000 to $3000 dollars more. One comapny wanted $1000 for a 10 year contract to service a gas in-line heater, which further drove up the cost. All About The Pipes didn't make me feel like an idiot for wanting an electric in-line heater. They quoted and charged me $1700. After 7+ months, everything is still working just fine. I am very satisfied with All About The Pipes and highly recommend them.

On THANKSGIVING dayaround 10:15 with company coming and lots of food prep going on the kitchen sink and disposer clogged. I tried clearing the trap, etc and quickly realized it was beyond my skills. No one thought I could find help, but I called our plumber, All About The Pipes. They said they would be there by 11am. Bill arrived exactly at 11 and began work. My wife lost a piece of jewelry and the last resort was to check the shower drain for it. It was a longshot, but we contacted All About the Pipes, who had helped with a remodeling project earlier in the summer. I contacted them in the morning and the technician was on site by early afternoon. Bill, the service tech, was very patient and finally was able to retrieve the earring.

Our kitchen sink drain was clogged. I called All About The Pipes this morning at 8am and they were able to be here by 10:30. In fact Chris, who did the work, called before he arrived and said that he would be early if that was ok - which it was. AATP was responsive and punctual. When Chris arrived he took a look at the situation, told me what needed to be done before doing the work, and even pointed out another small problem we had. He didn't mind my questions and even took the time to look at some other plumbing work we are wanting to do in the future. Chris was professional and courteous. When he was done he asked me if I was satisfied with the work that he performed. The price was also reasonable. I will definitely be calling them back for any future work big or small. I will also recommend them to anyone in my neighborhood. If you're considering who to call from the list of plumbers on Angies List, call All About the Pipes. They set the standard.

Initial engagement went very well. Talked to a lady in the office who said she would have a technician call me. He called back promptly to schedule the work. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Very polite, clean (shoe covers), professional young man. Took care of all 3 issues (I thought at the time). Paid him $240 for all 3 fixes and he left. (This on 9/10) However, the drippy shower head continued to drip. When I had initially shown the technician that problem, I also gave him a new hand held shower head I had bought with a snake hose on it and asked him to install that while he was at it. When he took off the old shower head, he saw no water running from the pipe so took that to mean the shower head was the source of the drip. He installed the new one and explained to me that it was fixed but that I should understand that these snake hoses will drip a little while after being used as the water has to clear out of the hose. Well, as I watched it the next few days, I saw that the new shower hose did not quit dripping as described and surmised my "drippy shower head" had not been fixed. So, I called back, explained that one of my issues had not been fixed and requested a return trip but stated I did not think I should pay a "trip fee" for the return trip since my stated problem had not been solved with the initial visit. I was informed by the lady who answers the phone that they do not charge a "trip fee" but they do charge $147/hour minimum and they do not pro-rate. And that since I had ssupplied the shower head, they could not guarantee the part. If they found the shower head installed improperly, they would fix it but if that was not the problem, I could expect to pay $150-200 to have the drippy showerhead fixed. We debated the fairness of this and she said she would talk to the owner and call me back (this on 9/21). On 9/26, having not had a call back, I called again and was informed unfortunately the owner had been taken ill and would not be back in the office for a few days - she would call back "next week". Next week came and went so I called again on 10/9 and left a message to call. On 10/12 having not received a call back, I called again. The lady again told me I would have to pay the minimum one hour charge, and when I objected, she put the owner on the phone with me. At this point, the whole situation turned around. I was very pleased with the owner's response. He "heard me" and said so. He listened carefully to my whole story, we discussed accountabilty for diagnosing the problem correctly to start with, and he told me they would make it right. He stated they are a small business dependent on customer satisfaction and that he wants my business and wants me to tell others they did me right. He promised to talk to the technician and have the lady who schedules call back to schedule the work. She did so on the next working day (10/15), we scheduled for 10/18 (that 3 day delay was due to my schedule/they offered to come the very next day.). The technician showed up as promised (even a little early but he called to check that it was OK to arrive early), and had the problem fixed very promptly (worn washers and springs in the part where you turn water on and off). He also located my inside water shuf-off valve for me (I didn't know where it was) and labeled it for future reference with a tag. And there was NO CHARGE for the return visit since he said "he had missed it the first time." - I would have been glad to pay for the additional work, just not a minimum of one hour for work that took less than that. But I felt extremely "valued as a customer" at that point. So as they say, the true test of a good service provider is what they do when there's a problem. I know plumbing issues can require some trouble-shooting/process of elimination sometime, so I was not upset that a return visit was necessary. I felt the owner did right by me in the end. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I had 3 relatively small plumbing jobs that I needed taken care of: a) Toilet in one of the bathrooms continually leaked water from the tank into the bowl VERY slowly but enough that I had turned the water off to stop it. b) Outside faucet had a hose attached to it where the connection had rusted to the point I couldn't get it off without fear of breaking the faucet. Needed that hose removed. c) Shower head in main bathroom contiually dripped water/could not get it to stop.

I called early Monday morning. They said they would have someone out that afternoon. Bill called as soon as they left their prior job so I could meet them at home. All the drains in my kitchen were backed up. I'd cleaned out the traps and knew the issue was somewhere else. Bill quickly determined the issue wasn't in kitchen sink traps and tried to clear the line. But the blockage was beyond the reach of the drain snake he had in his van. He went to get a longer drain tool, but returned within an hour and completed the job. Bill and his assistant were great. They took great care, inside and outside the house to prevent spills, stains, and other issues. Everything was clean and functioning when they left. Being without the kitchen for a day, we were really relieved they were able to schedule our emergency service so rapidly. I'll definately call them again with any future issues.
Description of Work: All the drains in my kitchen were backed up. I'd looked at the traps and knew the issue was somewhere between the traps and my main line. Being a relatively long ranch house the distance between the kitchen and the main line was about 45 feet. Luckily the drains in the rest of the house were still working.

Description of Work: We moved into our new house and had some problems with hot water and called them. They had their tech, Doug, at our place within 4 hours and he was able to correct the problem. Unfortunately, we also discovered that our builder didn't install the 2nd water heater and Doug figured it out after looking all over the house (including the crawl space) for it.
