Albert's & AR Painting

Albert is a very nice polite and professional guy. The work his crew did was nothing short of perfect. After spending 3 days on the exterior: washing, sanding, scraping and caulking they then spend another 3 days painting. The end result was a magnificent job. This guy and his crew go the extra mile to get it right.....lots of prep followed by hand brushing the best paint available, Benjamin Moore's Aura. They even replace rotted wood at no extra charge. And they come back once a year for 5 years to wash the house and check their work (at no additional charge). It all seems to good to be true but it is.

Albert and his crew did a FANTASTIC job on our new home. It was a large job, and they finished it ahead of schedule, and it came out great. He and his crew were prompt, professional, and the work was top notch. Cant say enough good things about him and his talented team. We'll be using him again, for sure.

They were professional and thorough. Had some possible water damage from a roof leak brought to my attention instead of being painted over, and I really appreciated that. It ended up being old damage from before the current roof was installed.

I contacted Albert regarding these MINOR issues and he promptly responded and addressed both at no cost. Additionally, on his own initiative, he applied another coat of stain to my front porch for free.

I phoned Albert's Painting around the second week of July. Albert Salazar came up to our home to give an estimate the following day. He was very nice to deal with and answered all of my questions. He was able to give me an estimate on the spot. He told me that should we hire him, he recommended certain paint and I should go and pick out my colors, and he would take it from there. I phoned him the following day to hire him. He set up a start date for the following week. Unfortunately, my husband became quite sick right before the day they were to start, and I phoned Albert to reschedule. He was extremely understanding and set up a date for the following week. I was grateful for him not putting me off any longer than that, as we are repainting and reflooring because my Mother-In-Law is moving in with us shortly. Albert's crew of 3, headed by Hector, arrived on 7/24/2012. Hector walked around with me and we discussed what my husband and I wanted done. I gave him the paint samples that I had chosen and while his crew started sanding and preparing the walls, Hector went to get the paint. It took this crew of 3 a little less than 3 days to complete everything. They were polite and very nice to have around. We are very impressed with the job that was done. It is so close to PERFECT, that it would be hard to fault it. They paid amazing attention to detail. Clean lines, crisp corners and no over-spray or mess left behind. Since we are in the process of changing rooms around, so much of our things are in boxes. They were extra careful when they had to move anything and offered to help move things in to place before they left, even though we had nothing "in place" when they arrived. I would recommend them to any of my family and friends!! They are terrific!!

Though I did not sign for Albert's Painting to perform any work I was very pleased with his punctuality and responsiveness throughout the estimate. He is very knowledgable and friendly and is committed to quality work. His estimate was second lowest of the three that I collected.

Our house had an enormous amount of wallpaper that needed to be taken down and a large amount of prepping and painting that needed to be done in its place. Albert provided a very reasonable quote and had a very professional crew who worked diligently.He even offered to throw in the stairwell that we hadnt asked for him to paint for free on the condition that we pay for the paint. Job well done

The job itself went well-- no complaints. A problem arose, though, when Albert's crew arrived one day earlier than he himself had planned, wanting to proceed with the work despite that fact that condo owners had been notified to remove all items from their balconies the NEXT day, so as to avoid the items getting wet. His interaction with a female board member that day was considered condescending and unprofessional by her. My personal experience was that he was brusque and overly rushed in the initial consultation about the job. We had asked him to bid on a fairly complicated painting job as well, but did not go with his (very low) bid as we felt he had not taken the time needed to actually assess what needed to be done on that job, and how. We went only with the pressure-washing, and as I said, the job was fine, but the interaction with the (both female) board members was lacking in professionalism.

My neighbor and I decided to paint our houses, so I agreed to bid the work out and we received four estimates. Albert's estimate was the lowest for my neighbor's house and the second lowest for mine. However, when you factored in all that Albert offered, compared to the other three companies, there really was no comparison. I will let my neighbor write his review, but his experience was equally as positive as mine. For me, Albert's crew showed up a few days early, due to a couple days of rain in the area. They started by pressure washing my house and doing some minor repair work to my back patio door. They then returned the following week to paint. Their pressure washing crew and repair crew was about five workers and the painting crew was three workers. Hector was the project manager, spoke excellent English and was very professional. We reviewed the colors for my house one more time and discussed some of the issues with the house, namely the cedar shingles. Hector provided great insights about how he thought everything would turnout and just like Albert, he told me not to worry, because he was not leaving until I was 100% satisfied. At no time did I think they were rushing my job, but they did work long hours, again due to the rain. My entire house was completely hand brushed and then painted again, that's right two coats, and it looks amazing. When the crew was finished, Hector did the walk around and he asked me what I thought and I told him it looked excellent, but I did noticed a few small spots (on the back) where the dark blue paint dripped on the white trim. Hector and the rest of the crew went back around the entire house and checked each window and piece and trim and repainted where necessary, without a single complaint. All the gutters and the hose bibs were reinstalled and the entire work site cleaned. Everyday during and almost everyday since, people in the neighborhood have stopped by wanting to know who painted my house, because they did such an amazing job. The comments are always the same, your two house look better than they did when they were new. I know for a fact, Albert has received several referrals from just these two houses in my neighborhood, and I am sure he will receive many more. I cannot put into words how appreciative I am to Albert, Hector and the rest of his crew. The whole time I was waiting for that moment where something promised didn't happen, but it never came. Instead, I was left feeling very impressed at how hard they worked to make sure that everything exceeded my expectation.

He sent three Mexican men to do the job and they did a great job. I went over to Sherman William to buy my paint and they knew him right away. The men who he sent over to do the job did a great job. So we would be calling him again. They came right away and were very good. It took them 2 hours to finish it. They did a great job and cleaned up everything. Overall it was a very good experience. I would use them again to paint the whole house.

We had and excellent overall experience with Alberts's Painting. Albert and his team were great to work with, punctual, professional and friendly! Albert is very knowledgable and made some great recommendations on our choice of paint products - what a beautiful finish - Thank You Albert! The job took three days, the crew always arrived each morning on time, they were always professional and kept me up to date with progress each day. The team really took pride in doing a good job and I appreciated their attention to detail - all the surfaces were well prepped, sanded and all imperfections and nail pops fixed. They also did a great job of repairing the kitchen ceiling were we had water damage. One of the bedrooms also had water damage on an exterior facing wall from water seeping from an exterior attic window. They did an excellent repair job on this, going above and beyond by caulking and repainting the exterior attic window so that future damage would not reoccur. All the water damage areas were also prepped and primed with a special primer to prevent any old water damage ever showing through. The house looks brand new, we couldn't be happier with the finish results. Now we have to finish our flooring - Albert even offered to have his guys come back to do touch ups for us if there was any damage after our flooring was laid. What service and care and pride in the finished product and overall service. I am happy to recommend Alberts's Painting to anyone looking have any paint work done. Our next project is exterior painting in the Fall or next Spring, we will definetly hire Albert and his team for the job.

One of the aspects that I appreciate most about Albert is his attentiveness. He always answers the phone and makes himself available to discuss the details of the project. He was very thorough in explaining the process and my husband and I are tickled with his work. He also contacted me a number of time to verify and clarify our desires, rather than making assumptions. The price was very reasonable, especially in comparison to competitors. His contract, like nearly all contractors, is not detailed (start dates/finish dates, etc). For folks who don't do much renovation, this can make you uneasy, but there's a certain level of trust and faith that you have to have in people; and in Albert's case it is very deserved! He's been reviewed positively on Angie's list so many times for a reason. Another fantastic part about Albert's Painting is that he doesn't ask for payment until the job is complete and the job isn't finished until the customer is happy. He really means this! His crew was able to start our project right away (being that the house is vacant--they could work nights and some days) and they got our monster project done in a week! The only word of caution that I might have is reserved only for those who are contracting with multiple people. If you have different companies working in your house, issues of poor communication might arise should there not be bilingual individuals working that day. Our flooring contractor/team and the painters had some misunderstandings and the flooring folks put their work on hold until the painters were entirely done. Had there been bilingual people working, on either side, they could have worked more cooperatively.

It went well. They worked very hard and he got the paint all the way down to the raw wood. It looks like a renovation more than just a re-paint. It had taken him longer than what was planned but he really did go over and beyond. He's true to his word and he does come through for you. However, they could be a little more conscientious of how they treat the yard and the surrounding area. He offers to come back once a year for the first five years for a free pressure wash. He's also particular about the paint. He is one of the few painters that thought like us in terms of paint quality, which we appreciated.

They were there on the day and time specified. They painted the house in under the estimated time and cleaned up the area after.

Albert and his helper removed old tape on my sheet rock and put on new plaster. They dried it and sanded it . Everything was cleaned up by them and when they finished, my walls looked smooth again. Great job.

Albert came to do the estimate with his wife and they made sure they understood what we wanted and had good suggestions about the crown molding. They had to delay the start of the job by a couple of days due to rain that put them behind on their other job. However, he called and communicated this with us so it was not a problem. His crew worked hard and did a good job cleaning up at the end of every day. James, who was the head of the crew working on our home, was professional and worked diligently. Albert came by to check on the progress and quality of the work regularly and micromanaged the crown molding. There were one or two touch up areas on the ceiling, that we told them about. When they painted the area, it was still visible from different viewing angles because it was painted at different times. Given the poor aesthetics of it, they repainted the entire ceiling a third time to make sure we were happy with the job! Overall, they did a great job and were very responsive. My only suggestion is that they travel with their own vacuum cleaner for the end of day cleanup and they did leave a dark stain on our cream carpet. However, we were able to clean it up, so it was not a big deal. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

Albert is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Does not use subs and is very demanding of his employees. He repaired much more of the damaged masonite siding than either of us ever expected. His price included labor for any necessary repairs and I paid only for materials. He presents receipts and does not mark up materials. Important: He never asked for any additional funds even though the final job was worth much more than I paid. This is a man who stands by his commitments and is focused on pleasing his customers. After he was done and was paid, I found a few items that I wanted to be adjusted. His man was there the next day and finished them to my satisfaction. I've had a lot of painters over the years and he is absolutely the best. He is still very disappointed that one customer gave him a poor review and it truly bothers him even though we all know you can't please everyone!

The people that did the work were all very polite. They worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. I was pleased with the results.

Performed work all in one day, kept the house clean during and cleaned up area after he and his team were done. I have used Albert before and wouldn't use another.

Albert's Painting was very friendly, professional, and did an excellent job of painting the kitchen and bathroom. The walls look excellent and they charged a fair price. They were on time and ready to start working. They were very clean and left the house looking great. I would definitely recommend Albert's Painting to anyone who is looking for this service.

Albert's Painting was one of the two painters I called to get estimates for painting 3 rooms on the interior of my home. Albert immediately scheduled an onsite estimate within a few days of my call. During the estimate, he pointed out cracks in the walls and offered to fix them while he did the work. To repair the cracks, prime, and paint all 3 rooms, he provided a written estinmate of $650 and said that he could perform all of the work in 1 day. It was not the cheapest estimate that we received, but we were impressed with Albert and his team. He and his team arrived promptly and within 5 minutes, they had moved furniture and started priming the walls. I'd esimate tht it took between 6 and 7 hours to prime and do 2 coats of paint for 3 rooms. The next day, we noticed a blister on one of the walls. We called Albert that morning, and he was back at our home later that afternoon repairing the blister. We will certainly work with Albert again when we paint additional rooms in our home.

We got several quotes as this was a large job. Albert was able to do everything, from removing the wallpaper, painting, & installing the Crown Molding that was needed. They all did an excellent job. Albert & his crew were professional, & friendly. They were in our home for 6 days & everyone was very nice to work with. Albert uses quality paints & it all looks absolutely beautiful!! We will be sure to call Albert whenever we need any future work done. They are GREAT!!!!

I would grade them highly across the board. I would use their services in the future.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal to have 4 hours of drywall repair for $125.00. Albert was easy to contact and very flexible with his times in scheduling my job. He and another worker arrived early. I showed him several areas in my house where I needed drywall repair and prioritized the areas not knowing how long it would take to complete each wall. Based on the amount of time he estimated for each room, Albert and I prioritized the job. I was amazed that he was able to complete as many cracks as he did in the time frame. (He actually stayed longer than the four hours and sent two employees back the next day to complete the sanding process. He said that the quality would be better if it air dried over night.) The quality of the work was excellent. The repair process itself is very messy with the necessary sanding. Albert and his employees covered the floor with a drop cloth in the areas that they were working and vacuumed the area after they were done. In one room they had to move a pool table to get to the drywall. After they completed the work they vacuumed the area and moved the pool table back to its original location. Painting was not part of the Big Deal but Albert gave me a very reasonable rate to come and paint the areas that he repaired. Albert and his employees were very professional, punctual and personable. I enjoyed meeting them and will definitely use them for my future dry wall and painting needs.
