Albert's & AR Painting

Out of three estimates, Albert provided the lowest bid. They say you shouldn't judge on price alone. But, the reviews on Angie's List were so good, I decided to go with Albert and I'm glad I did. Albert's crew showed up on the first day promptly at 9am as he said they would. They pressure washed the house, front stoop & steps and removed some rotted wood on the first day. The 2nd day, they removed more wood, scraped paint, sanded and started replacing some of the wood. It took them a total of five full days to finish the job start to finish. They painted the house, trim, shutters and the door. They painted the mailbox post and replaced the mailbox with one I purchased. They painted the back porch post and rails, stained the porch floor and steps and then re-screened the porch. They did a fantastic job. I couldn't be more pleased. The house looks wonderful. They cleaned all of the windows once they were done. I had a film on my front storm door which I removed. It left an adhesive. I went to Home Depot to purchase the necessary supplies to clean off the adhesive. However, after they painted my door I came downstairs (I work at home) and my storm door was spic and span clean. They had removed all of the adhesive for me. The crew was very polite and professional. After the first day, they arrived at 8am each day and left at 5pm. They put everything away at the end of each day. When they were done with the job, they cleaned up very nicely. The one complaint that I had which is minor is that someone smoked (either Albert's crew or family member) and would drop the cigarette butts in my yard. There weren't many of them. But, I found that distasteful. Except for that, I am very pleased with Albert's Painting and would use them again. Original review was written in March. This is an update in May: I called Albert to install some rails near my front stoop steps. I had to call a few times. Albert finally came out to take measurements and was going to call me back with a price. I have yet to hear back from him despite my calling him again.

Albert came to do our estimate last summer. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He was helpful in determining the best products for outdoor as well as the indoor projects that needed to be completed (deck, inside stairs, etc). We decided to proceed a few weeks ago however Albert was not available (going out of town) which initially was concerning to my husband. Albert assured me at his initial estimate that his crew was meticulous so I implored my husband to proceed with the project instead of delaying. We are so happy that we did! Elian came with the rest of the crew and worked tirelessly to smooth the walls, prime and paint. They were able to repair a door which had been damaged from the elements making it look new and saving us lots of expense if it had to be replaced. The weather would not cooperate and started raining from day one but the crew did their best in the elements without sacrificing the quality that Albert promised. The project ended up going over the 2 days estimated (because of the weather) but we are very satisfied with the work that was done and plan on having Elian and the crew back to work on the outside deck and inside stairs this spring or summer!

Based on ratings and reviews I called this paint Company and set up an appointment to discuss what I needed done so they could prepare an estimate. They arrived early for the scheduled appointment, but called ahead to get permission to do that which I felt was very courteous. The date was 2/19/2013. When they left, they got my email address and said they would send me a quote that evening. They seemed anxious for work and even said they could start the job 2/21 if we decided to work with them. Late in the afternoon of 2/20 I had heard nothing and was needing their estimate to make a decision for this job. So, I called them and they said they had sent it the evening of 2/19 as promised and would go home and re-send it last evening (2/20) and that they would call me later in the evening. I asked the gentleman who I talked with if they had the correct email address as they could have simply sent it to the wrong person. I never received their estimate and no phone call. Also, when they came to do the estimate they offered up no business card, which I felt was a bit odd. I will not do business with them or recommend them to anyone as this has been a bad and questionable experience.

We selected Albert's Painting to help us with the 'refresh' of our home's interior based on previous comments in Angie's List. And we now join the many who sing the praises of Albert's. We unequivocally recommend Albert's to all of our friends. Upon calling Albert's we received an immediate call back and scheduling. Albert himself arrived for the estimate meeting promptly and provided an estimate immediately. The crew was always prompt, worked diligently and cleaned up thoroughly after leaving. They were exceedingly polite and always thankful for any small gesture, such as coffee or breakfast sandwiches. It was such a pleasure to treat them - especially since they were so diligent. The removal of the wallpaper, a tedious job if you have done it yourself, was thorough. But the magnificent work was after they repaired the drywall and finished with primer (well worth the money). The walls looked better than brand new. We elected to do the painting and trim ourselves. I hope you get the same crew we did. We did price a few other contractors. A few offered a price a little lower. But based on other reviewers on Angie's List - we decided to pay just a little more and were well rewarded for the additional investment.

Randall and his team were very prompt, professional and helpful. They pressure washed and painted the trim on the house as well as performing some minor repairs to wood. It did not even look like the same house! They did a great job at a fair price. I will definitely use them again.

They repaired a broken piece on the pergola, stained the pergola, gazebo, deck and benches. A separate team removed the popcorn ceiling in the very large master bedroom and painted the walls and trim. They were very efficient and did a beautiful job. They cleaned up after themselves. I was especially impressed with Albert, the owner.

We selected Albert's Painting for exterior and interior painting for our home in the spring of 2012. We solicited bids from a few of the providers we found on Angie's List and went with Albert after reading the reviews for his company on Angie's List and he quoted us the best price for the job. We have a large home (4000 sq ft) and we had a substantial amount of wood rot repair needed on the house and our front porch basically needed to be re-built. I have to say that Albert's crew did a PHENOMENAL job on our home. Our front stoop looks as good as new and we could not be happier with the craftsmanship on the stoop and the overall quality of the work. Albert, his wife Cindy and their crew are very professional and left our home spic and span when they were done. Albert also "threw in" staining our driveway and our walkway/entry. We purchased the concrete stain and he provided the labor. He recommended this to enhance the curb appeal of our paint job and he was absolutely right. Our home looks gorgeous! We did have a small mishap during the completion of the job (a window was cracked) and Albert handled the issue quickly and efficiently. Again, we could not be more pleased with his follow-up and will definitely call him again when we need more painting! Great job Albert and Cindy - Look forward to working with you again!

Albert was extremely responsive in coming out for an estimate and follow-up, and then called a few days in advance to let us know the date they would begin the work. He described every element in his quotation in detail. Albert uses "Mad Dog" primer (www.maddogprimer.com) and admits that it is expensive. However, he believes it at least doubles the life of the paint and he provides a 5-year warranty and free pressure washing yearly for five years to prove that the paint job will hold up well as a result of using the expensive primer. We were a bit disappointed in the professionalism of the work crew. They arrived on time but did not seem to have a grasp of the job scope and were very sloppy in beginning the pressure washing. They sprayed water all over the screened porch (which was supposed to be wiped down by hand and not pressure washed) and got pressure washing solution all over our porch furniture. A phone call to Albert got the mess cleaned up and the work crew properly "calibrated." They were extremely courteous guys, though. They did a nice job on the primer and painting, and also on the fence which we had them stain with Home Depot's Behr deck stain. They were sloppy on some parts of the job, and in a few instances splashed paint all over the screens on the screened porch. The screens were too spattered to clean, and so the job foreman said he would replace them instead. It took him three tries to satisfactorily repair the two damaged screens. They went out of their way to match the paint color on some of the window, door, and siding flashing so that it would blend nicely with our brick. This was over and above the scope of the job and speaks to Albert's desire to do whatever is necessary to make the customer happy. Lastly, the crew was totally unprepared for the post-job window cleaning that Albert promised. We had to call twice to remind them to come back for the window cleaning, and when they finally came back they didn't have any supplies. We had to give them towels and they used water, not window cleaner! Then we had to call them back AGAIN when they took our towels with them. They did a pretty poor job on the windows, and we had to go over their work and re-wash all of the windows ourselves. Overall, despite the problems listed above, Albert is certainly worth consideration as we found his overall pricing to be very competitive and they did do a good job. We would caution anyone who decides to use Albert's Painting to just make sure you closely follow their work and tell them exactly what you want and expect - repeatedly. Albert is always a phone call away and it is a good idea to make sure the crew knows that you aren't afraid to call Albert if you aren't happy. Despite the problems mentioned, the crew was very friendly and really wanted to do a good job. Every item that we pointed out for rework or touch-up was done without argument and with a smile. For these reasons, we would not hesitate to call on Albert again in the future.

Albert was extremely punctual and came out to see my house. Looked at work to be done and made wonderful suggestions to make my ideas better. I thought Albert's quote was fair, not the lowest, not the highest, but I felt good going with Albert. He did excellent work on my deck that needed more work than I realized, but Albert did not leave anything to question. He made sure it was repaired the way he would want his own repair. Excellent. Inside the painting was great. Very neat, clean and fast. His workers are wonderful. They had the upmost respect for my home. They were very careful with my furniture and covering everything. Albert also cleaned my gutters and painted around windows with a rust resistant paint. Albert has alot of knowledge with paint and repair. He is a great help.

The workers did a great job, but the guy who came (the son?) out told my husband it would take 8 hours using 2 men to remove the wallpaper. It is a very small bathroom and not much wallpaper because of half of it being a tiled shower plus a mirror and a window. My husband was quite put off by the guy and neither one of us could imagine it would take very long especially with two workers! The coupon was for four hours of work. They were done in two hours. My husband thought the owner was looking to make more money to compensate for the coupon and thought it was a little shady. We wouldn't have a them back because of that. The overall work was good and they did get all the wallpaper off but the drywall needed lots of repair work after that. I can't say that was because of them, though.

They did an absolutely great job. They were here every day and probably worked 12-hour days despite it was unbearable outside as it was probably the hottest week of the summer. At the end of the day, they picked up everything and put everything where I asked them to put it. They cleaned up after themselves beautifully when they left at the end of the day. When they were finished with the job, they washed every window in the house and made sure there wasn't any pain on the windows and they also did a complete walk through with me around the house with paint to do touch ups. For the next two years, they will come back in spring to do touch-ups and powerwash. People stopped when the painting was being done and they still do and talk about how pretty the house looks.

Albert refunded my money because he was not able to handle the workload.

I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM TO HAVE FOUND ALBERT. My cleaner damaged the wall during Thanksgiving week! My client was having guests over and needed the damage repaired before Thanksgiving day. I called Albert on Monday and he reassured me that he could have a crew out there 8:30 AM on Wednesday (the 21st). He called me at 7:30 AM on Wednesday to let me know he was on his way. By the time I met him at my client's home at 8:30 AM not only was he there but his crew was already well underway preparing the materials outside. Both Albert and his crew were extremely courteous and reassuring. Remember this was not my home but MY CLIENT's home. If anything went wrong, I could lose a lot of business. Sure enough withing 45 minutes, Albert was done. I called my client and she said she was amazed at the speed at which they finished and at the quality of work. She said that the job was so well done that you could not even find where the repair was done! I am sincerely thankful that Albert was there to help. He saved me from what could have been a very embarrassing situation. Not only did he amaze me but he amazed my client!

It went well, and the deck looks good. Albert came on time and gave me an estimate as promised. The painters arrived on time and there were no problems.

Two men came and they counted hours based on the two of them. They would not do some work because it was too high up. The work they did was good.

Overall, I felt that the painting experience was very goodfrom Albert?s Painting and I will definitely use them again in the future if I have any additional painting needs. The painting crew was very professional and thorough throughout the entire process. They also ensured that we had a very quality paint job. I found that the entire crew did an excellent job of cleaning up behind themselves as they painted and they were very efficient with organizing their work around other contractors that we had present in the home. Also, I felt that the price that was charged was good basedon the quality of the work and knowing that we needed 2 coats of paint throughout our entire house.

Albert was very prompt on the day that he came to do the estimate. He was very professional. We scheduled the work to start on the following Monday at 9 a.m. I had to call at 9:30 when he didn't show up. He was at my house within half an hour and was very apologetic. We had discussed the possibility of them starting on Saturday and he forgot to write our appointment time down. He had planned to only have one worker but due to the misunderstanding on the appointment day and time, he made up for it by bringing two people to strip the wallpaper to ensure that the job was completed in the two days allotted. The workers were very courteous. The second day only required one person to complete the work and she was very efficient but she did come a half hour later than she had told me the day before. She completed the job in just few hours. I had not planned for the baseboard to also be painted so had not bought any paint for that part of the job. She called Albert who had her go to pick up some paint to do the baseboards at no extra charge. She put the room completely back together, tank on the toilet, towel rack back on the wall and asked for the switchplate and outlet plate which I had removed prior to them coming, so that she could put them back in place as well. The room was cleaned of all debris. I am very happy with the job that Albert's crew did and would definitely hire him again.

They did the work and cleaned up reasonably well (meaning I had to sweep, vacuum and mop afterwards).

They did a nice job. It was the first time I had used them. I would use them again.

I called and Alberto came out that same afternoon. He was recognized by some of the cleaners working on the house and they said they had worked with him in the past and he was great. He gave me a quote and we agreed on price. His crew finished faster than they promised. The house was empty, so it seems like they must have worked very late to get it all done so well and so fast. We did a walk through with Alberto and his wife and she got rid of one spot of paint on the bar and that was that. Great job, great quality job. They did more than they promised and also finished faster than was promised.

Those guys were here from monday-saturday. They painted the plainters on my front porch. I also have a sun room, and they recommed painting room gray, and it looks wonderful. deck and porch, cant tell you how delighted how it was good of a job they did.

Albert was very punctual arriving for the estimate at our agreed upon time. He walked with us around the house to discuss what service he offered as well as our concerns and ideas. We thought we would have to replace the deck but he assured us that his guys could use a process that would salvage the deck and provide on-going protection for years to come. A written estimate presented a thorough explanation of all services including a yearly follow up to wash and touch up the house for 5 years... His guys hand washed the whole house, soffit, gutters, windows and window frames. They followed this with hand painting the house and the deck and pergola. We asked them do do a couple of extra things that included some carpentry to enhance the house.... they quickly responded without having to call their boss. (We paid extra for this as it was not included in the estimate...) The house looks amazing... we have had plenty of complements. I will schedule them to do interior work in the near future.
