Albert's & AR Painting

They did a good job for us. Howevery, they took at least $300 worth of paint that we had purchased, and we have been unable to get in touch We have made phone calls and sent an email. In general, Albert has been unresponsive.

I called Albert's and AR Painting over a week ago (9/23) requesting someone provide a quote to pressure wash my home, deck and vinyl fence. I also asked about making minor repairs to the deck and front porch. No one returned the call. I called again and left the same detailed message on 9/26. I still haven't heard from anyone. This is also my first experience with Angie's List. Not a good start.

We hired Albert's Painting to paint the exterior of our home about a year and a half ago and were very pleased with them so we called again when our deck was in need of repair and refurbishing. The price was very reasonable. They completed everything over the weekend and did a fantastic job. The quality of work was superb and our 15 year old, neglected deck looks like new now.

Albert's guys were extremely professional. They responded to my initial contact very quickly and came out within a day or two for the estimate. They fully explained every part of the process and even recommended materials. The estimate was extremely reasonable and the wok was done in a timely manner, they even worked on New Year's Eve to finish up! They cleaned up very well when they left and even fixed our screens. We have been very satisfied with the job and would definitely have them back to do further work. Can't recommend them highly enough.

From the time I was given the estimate until the day they left they were very courteous and professional. The crew worked very hard (difficult to find these days) and did an outstanding job! No messing around, they were here to work and they did just that!!I I was impressed with the fact that they always confirmed what I wanted done before they did it. They moved what needed to be moved, replaced it, and even removed and rehung the mirrors in the bathrooms to paint behind them (without me asking). I was extremely pleased with everything from beginning to end and would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to friends.

It has been 2 years since the job and they came to do the yearly pressure washing and maintenance on the house this past weekend. My house still looks freshly painted and I could not be more pleased. The quality of work that Albert and his crew perform is to be commended, they take pride in a job well done and make sure you are pleased with the final product. I recently got estimates for interior work and I look forward to using them again.

I met with Albert to obtain an estimate on pressure washing and painting my deck. Albert arrived, as schedule and provide a complete breakdown of the work to be perfromed, paint to be used (as well as a color chart of the solid stains available ). Albert's crew arrived on time and pressure washed the deck, removing the old paint and dirt. Due to the continuous rain we experienced in our area, the painting of the deck could not commence until two days later. After the painting was completed, I noticed some minor unevenness in one area of the deck. Albert responded to my concerns and had his crew returen for some minor touchups..I was very pleased with the quality of work, responsiveness to any concerns or questions I had and the professional manner in which they went about completing the job. Overall I was very satisfied with the work performed and would not hesitate using Albert's Painting in the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. The whole job was completed around 4-5 hours. The quality of the drywall work was great, the paint job was fine. Everything was great. Albert was nice, they were very professional and it was good.

Alberts Painting took the time to do the job correctly which, unfortunately for me, was an unusual experience. They did not rush through the preparation process. They sanded the flooring extensively and primed it before they applied a single drop of paint. The painting companies we hired in the past told us that they would do this time consuming sanding process as well, but not one of them actually followed through. Every company, other than Alberts, simply did a quick once over with sand paper, applied the paint, and was quickly gone. In some cases, the paint was already pealing again a few weeks later. When we contracted with Albert's, we agreed upon the best way to do the job and the best products to use. They did not try to cut corners. They spent the time and effort necessary to do the job right. As a result, the porch looks fantastic and we are hopeful that these results will be much longer lasting than ever before. Alberts also pressure washed our long driveway and spray painted over a dozen pieces of old wicker furniture for us. They did an excellent and thorough job of these tasks as well including clean up. Beyond this, I would just say that I found everyone associated with Alberts to be very courteous, punctual and eager to please. I will be calling them again.

4 years ago I hired Albert to paint the trim, shutters and doors on the exterior of my home, repair some areas where damaged wood was found, and repair and stain the deck. Albert was professional and simply a joy to work with. His crews were timely, well managed and left the site clean after each day of work. The price was very reasonable and the experience was one that left us bragging about Albert to our friends and family. As a result of our recommendation to others, Albert was hired on several occasions to perform work on both the exterior and interior of homes in our area. All very satisfied customers! Fast forward 4 years.... I contacted Albert to discuss painting the whole exterior of the home, calling the same phone number from our previous business dealings. I mention this because when I said "Hello Albert," I was greeted by an individual also named "Albert," but after a short time was told this is another Albert. The Albert (#1) I previously worked with was out of the country temporarily and the current Albert (#2) was running the business while he was away. Albert #2 assured me the business was left in very good hands. Albert #1 had an excellent reputation and would not leave his business in hands of anyone who would tarnish that reputation. We made an appointment for the following week. Albert #2 came to the house and we discussed the scope of work in great detail. Interestingly, while he held a clipboard, not one note was taken! Well I thought, this guy is good! My husband took a different mental note of this which he shared with me later. After an hour of what was a routine walk-through and discussion, Albert #2 left saying he would have an estimate for us in the next week. To this date, we have not received an estimate or heard one word from Albert #2. After having now left several messages, reading other not so complimentary reviews, it seems something has gone quite wrong. Having no idea what the situation is, and having been so impressed with our first experience with Albert #1, we hesitated writing this negative review. However, everyone looking for Albert #1 as a result of previous business or noting the raving reviews and grade A listing, needs to know this is not the Albert who deservingly earned every one of those accolades! I can only hope Albert #1 returns from wherever he may be very soon to preserve his reputation he worked so hard to attain and reclaim the once successful business he built.

Albert arrived on time when he said he would. He took his time walking through my house with me to talk about the job. He submitted a professional proposal in a timely manner and his price was fair (in the middle range of all the proposals). We decided to go with another company whose work we had actually seen, however, I would absolutely call him again. He was very professional.

He was amazing! They did an outstanding job. He well-exceeded my expectations and were extremely thorough! I was very pleased!

Albert came to take a look and provide an estimate (I had talked about doing some external painting as well, which I've decided to postpone). I then took some time picking a color. Albert came back out to provide some guidance and opinion on that as well ... he was extremely patient with me! :) When they came back to paint, they did the kitchen, kitchen doors and trim around the kitchen and the den (which needed some touch up). They also took on the additional task of removing a child gate prior to touching up the trim on that door, since I wasn't able to remove the gate myself without tearing up the doorframe. They did a great job and everything looked really good! I also just realized that this is the first review I've written for this company, but they also did some work for me back in 2006. They removed wallpaper and painted in 2 bathrooms and then just pained another bedroom. I was trying to match the trim to the shutters, but had picked a color that was a bit too light and the contrast looked bad to me. They had already done a bit of work on the trim (although it wasn't complete yet) and I talked to one of the guys, who VERY nicely and professionally offered to match it for me. So he went to the paint store and came back with a match. I expected them to be a bit annoyed, since they were just about done with the trim, but he was so helpful and nice about it. In one of the bathrooms, I saw that they had done touch ups to repair the walls prior to painting that I hadn't even asked them to do. It's not very often these days, that people either pay that much attention to detail or take the time to go above and beyond to actually do things "right". I was so impressed with them in 2006, that I hunted them down again this year and I will do the same again next time I need work done. They did a great job!

Albert set up an appointment right away and provided us with an estimate. I was impressed by him, and by the regular follow up this firm provides. We went with another bid, but the next time we need painting, we will call Albert again and would have no questions about using him.

I was disappointed in the Angies List Special Deals. The ad said do not contact the service provider prior to purchasing the deal. Well dummy me I did not contact the service provider to request an estimate for the work that needed to be done. I would prefer to have an on sight estimate to confirm the amount of hours or the cost of the service. When I called to schedule the appointment I was reminded that I purchased only 4 hours of service I received 4 hours of drywall repair but it was not enough. They did return the next day to touch up after it was dry. However, the biggest area of concern I had (the most visible bump in the wall) was not restored completely. In addition, since the company named included painting I thought they might offer to estimate the cost of painting the room for me. They lost that sale, for not making an offer. When I had the walls painted the painter had to complete more work on the drywall, plus the paint bubbled from the drywall repair. This caused me extra work and money. I will not purchase another big deal. I would have been better off with complete drywall repair and painting service.

I had originally sent Albert's Paint an email to request an appointment for an estimate along with 2 other companies. I ended up calling to get the estimate scheduled. The estimate that was given was well below that of the other two companies. This would normally be a red flag if it weren't for the fact that they had several good reviews on Angie's List. A relative was there while the work was bing done. Initially there was a little confusion about what was to be done. The contractors were told the Master bedroom, but I wanted to have the wall paper removed and the walls painted in my kitchen and bathroom along with the hallway ceiling. I had kept a copy of the itemized estimate and had my relative show them the sheet. Overall they did a really good job. You can't tell that the walls had to be heavily spackled. When moving the refrigerator, they accidentally put a small tear in my vinyl floor. I left them a message that night and they were out the next day to repair it.

You should never SAND the finish off of masinite before painting.

This was the strangest experience ever. I initially contacted this painter because of Angie's List listing. I needed an entire house painted inside (ceiling, walls, trim, doors) before moving in at end of April 2013. Albert called me back within a day of my Angie's List inquiry to set up a time to estimate the job. After much discussion about the job and setting up an appointment, he never showed up. Then I called again a few days later and he didn't respond to my calls. For some reason, I insisted because maybe he got hit by a truck? So I called him again a week later! He said sorry and that he was very busy and OK he will come do the estimate TOMORROW. He never did - again. Finally, I figured if he is that an unreliable, unprofessional or busy, I can only imagine how bad he would be about showing up on the job! Why did he initially respond to my inquiry, promise to come twice but never showed up??? I will never know. I ended up hiring someone else who responded to my call, did the estimate as planned and completed the job in 4.5 days at a fair price and on time!

Albert's Painting crew showed up on Wednesday and power washed our cedar-sided house and large shed. The following days they further prep the house by sanding, scraping and using several cases of caulk to fill cracks, joints and every nail hole. They replaced rotten wood on our front porch. We were very impressed with the detail and workmanship shown in the prep process. They proceeded to paint our house and shed. They cleaned our gutters then removed them for painting. The gutters now look new. We are completely satisfied with the results and the professional manner in which the work was preformed. Albert?s crew always left the worksite each night in a clean and organized manner. They appeared promptly each morning and were very responsive with any of our questions during the process. Our house looks almost new again!

.They came two years ago. It was in the Spring. This was for exterior painting. The workers were very nice and friendly and did a great job. The price was very reasonable. They were professional and I would use them again.

Albert and his team were superb!!!! We needed our house painted very quickly, and he came in, did an estimate and started painting the next day. He was professional and very knowledgable. I felt comfortable asking his advice of on color and touch-up needs. I never felt as though he were lying to me. His price was very fair, and once he started the job, he went above and beyond what we had discussed. He even was willing to add on a few things I noticed in the process for free. I would absolutely hire Albert Painting again and greatly appreciate their efforts.

Left message to get an estimate and was contacted by Albert the next day. We scheduled an appointment for Friday afternoon but he did not show and did not get a call from him. After another week, still no contact from them to come and perform an estimate.

In 4Q of last year I had three of the top rated companies from Angie's list provide estimates, one of which was Albert's Painting. Albert's Painting provided the best estimate and offered to prime and put two coats of paint on the house when other companies only offered one coat. Albert seamed very sincere and trustworthy, backing up the reviews I had studied on Angie's list. I called this company in January to ask a few follow up questions before committing to have them perform the work. I was told Albert was unavailable. When I asked to have him call me back I was told he was out of the country and would be back in two weeks. I called again two weeks ago, ready to commit on having them do my paint job. Once again I was told Albert was out of the country and was expected to return in two weeks. Same song, different verse. The individual I spoke to said he would come out to my house around lunchtime on a Saturday to review the estimate with me. He never showed up and didn't bother to call or contact me in any fashion. If there is this type of responsiveness at a stage when they are trying get the job, how will they respond if there are any problems with the job? My best guess is Albert knows how to run a company but a new sheriff is in town. I recommend taking all of the A ratings and Angie's list awards this company has earned in the past several years with a grain of salt, understanding Albert is apparently no longer running the show.
