Description of Work: Individual came out to service our furnace. He was prompt and did the job well. One thing I didn't like was within 5 minutes of entering the house he was already recommending a new furnace and thermostat. That was surprising because our furnace was working fine and he didn't even see our thermostat. Overall I would use them again but I didn't like being "sold" a product immediately, especially when our current systems weren't even evaluated before the recommendations.

[member name removed], Our records show that your system was installed in November of 2007 and we typically include two free visits to clean and check the system during the first year. I have that we came back in April of 2007 and then there our records do show notes about scheduling conflicts for the second visit. I am not sure that we may be able to correct the issue now 7 years later but we are grateful for the business you gave us over the years and hope that you'll contact us to discuss this situation further—we’d love the opportunity to make it up to you!

Description of Work: There is an annual contract to maintain 4 systems. They come out twice a year to service them. All the techs seem very knowledgeable. During the last visit the tech was called away for an emergency. He apologized and offered a discount on future work for the inconvenience. I have recommended Acosta to neighbors and will continue to do so.

Description of Work: Employee turn over caused me to get a different solution for the same problem four times. The maintenance plan I signed up for ended costing me more money than before I had one and my house is 6 years old. Their estimate to replace my system was double of their competitors.

The member has been given quite a few warning about maintenance required to his system and he always declines the technician recommendations. Last time we were at his residence on February 14th. He again was given options which he declined, and I personally tried to contact him twice via phone to give him more options and he never returned my calls. He says our price to replace his system was twice what others had quoted him. We never gave him a price to replace his system because he never called me back and if he had his system replaced it was done illegally since there have been no permits entered in Mecklenburg County Building Inspection Department for his unit replacement, which is a violation by the State and County standards. Terrible.
Description of Work: I had a problem with them charging me twice for work.. I had terrible service with the accounts payable lady and the owner.. I had all my receipts and it just seemed like know one had a clue. It took 5 months to resolve it.. I will never use them again nor will I refer them to anyone.

THE MEMBER SIGNED UP FOR A YEARLY MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT, WHICH AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS YEARLY UNLESS THE CUSTOMER REQUESTS NOT TO RENEW. SHE NEVER INFORMED US OF HER INTENTS. WE SENT A RENEWAL NOTICE AT ITS ANNIVERSARY WHICH HAPPENED TO COINCIDE AT THE SAME MONTH SHE HAD SOME DUCTWORK REPAIRED. SHE MISTOOK THE RENEWAL INVOICE AS ADDITIONAL BILLING FOR THE DUCT REPAIRS. SHE IGNORED THE RENEWAL NOTICE AND THE MONTHLY STATEMENTS ONLY AND COMPLAIN THREE MONTHS LATER. WE TRIED TO EXPLAIN BUT SHE DID NOT UNDERSTAND KEPT SAYING WE CHARGED HER TWICE WHICH WAS NOT CORRECT. WE WENT AHEAD AND CREDITED HER ACCOUNT FOR THE RENEWAL.

Description of Work: HAD PROBLEM WITH A/C UNIT, OR SO I THOUGHT. TURNED OUT TO BE ELECTRICAL BOX PROBLEM. A/C UNIT SHARES SWITCH WITH WASHER & DRYER WHICH IS NOT UP TO CODE. SWITCH WAS BLOWN AND REPLACED BY TECH. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND THAT I NEED TO HAVE A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN LOOK AT THIS, AS REPLACING THE SWITCH WAS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN!
