It went very well. They replaced the floor in the powder room that was water damaged.

The end result was horrible! There was a large a problem that he refuses to come out and fix.

It went very well. The workers worked quickly, but did not rush the work. I had prefinished hardwoods installed. The workers accidently covered up the vent in the powder room. They promptly returned and corrected their mistake. Other companies do not include moving furniture in their quote. This company does if you use their product. Product is of high quality. Red Oak Nutural Bruce. I gave price a "B" because hardwoods are high in general, but this company was within the other quotes. I chose this quote because they did not require money down and their quote included everything - moving furniture, product and their reviews on angie list were good.

Dan Minton and his company did an outstanding job in all respects. His employees, particularly Chris, his foreman, and Brandon, an installer who worked on the job throughout the demolition and installation, worked hard and meticulously. The new hardwood created an incredible transformation of the first floor. Here are some of the tasks that Accent accomplished: Wood flooring was installed in two den cabinets and under all appliances to include trash compactor, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher (and yes, you can pull out the dishwasher even after installing a 3/4 inch subfloor and 3/4 inch maple flooring beneath it.) Chris and Brandon removed a "hump" in the kitchen by sanding the subfloor. They adjusted the "feet" of various appliances to level the tops with the recently installed countertops. They installed an additional layer of hardwood in the back of the refrigerator space to compensate for a sagging floor (the house is thirty years old) and thereby level the refrigerator. Brandon re-installed an in-floor outlet in the living room that was better installed than the original. Accent "picture-framed" the fireplace to produce a visual focal point and uniform end point for the wood flooring surrounding it. Installers exercised great care around the recently installed new kitchen cabinetry. They moved all furniture including a grand piano and installed protective felt "feet" on pieces that needed them. They trimmed all existing doors and moulding as needed and installed two new replacement thresholds. All of Dan's employees responded positively to any request. It was clear that they wanted us to be completely satisfied with their work. They cleaned up every day. Nothing was a bother and every challenge was one they had met and overcome before. Dan won the business over two worthy competitors by detailing exactly what needed to be done and how he would do it. In discussing this job with him, I was impressed by his knowledge and obvious experience. My wife and I selected Accent and we know that we made a great decision. Dan honored every commitment that he made, and the estimated price turned out to be the exact price.

I first contacted Daniel by phone for an estimate to sand and refinish my hardwood floors. I purchased my house in 1999, and at that time the floors were covered with a poor grade of carpet. Sometime later I pulled up a corner of the carpet and discovered hardwood floors underneath, but the carpet had been applied on top of a heavy layer of padding installed with heavy amounts of glue and staples. I removed most of the padding on my own, but I had never taken the time to have the floors professionally refinished.So, when Daniel came to examine my home - he saw wooden floors that were 50 years old with scarring and wear. He measured the rooms and gave me a ballpark estimate right then, but stated he could give me a precise estimate before the day was complete. The first ballpark estimate sounded so good, I committed right then to have him do the work. Within a matter of a few hours he emailed me a detailed estimate, very close to the ballpark estimate. His detailed estimate included replacing the shoe molding which was damaged or missing throughout the house. This was even better.Since the wooden floors included everything in my house except the kitchen and bathroom, it was best for me to simply store all the furniture and belongings in a pod for 4-5 days. I considered this much better than trying to stack everything from 4 rooms into my kitchen - or moving them to a monthly storage unit. It worked out beautifully - I took a trip and didn't have to put up with the noise, dust, or chemical smells..When I returned, my floors were perfect - ready for me to move back in. I was thoroughly pleased with the work.

Overall went very well. Started and completed job as quoted. Looking forward to using them again in spring.

They were wonderful. They were prompt and courteous as well.

The first day, took the 2 man crew about 6 hours. They moved the furniture, sealed up the rooms (as best as they could), and then began the process of sanding. There were a couple of areas where there were deep cuts in the wood from dragging furniture (not from Accent) across the floor. By the time they were done sanding, you could not tell where any cuts or scratches had been. The next day, they applied the stain. This process took a couple of hours. Unfortunately, the odor from this was somewhat strong, but not enough to force us out of the house. It dissipated after a few hours. The next two days, they spent about an hour each day, putting the poly coat down. As promised, there was almost no odor. We did have to stay off of the floors for eight hours each day. On the last day, they went around with a portable vacuum and cleaned up most of the dust. Unfortunately, you cannot protect everything from getting dusty, although they did drape plastic everywhere. Overall their clean up was very good, and they also put all of the furniture back. The floors turned out to be beautiful. They actually look new. We wish we would have done this much earlier.

He was supposed to come out and he didn't show up. I called him back several times and he never returned my calls. He should have had the decency to call me back and tell me he wasn't going to complete the work.

They gave me an estimate first. In fact, I had four estimates from four Angie?s List companies and I chose Accent. Their estimate was exactly the same as what they charged me. I was very pleased with their work. In fact, I have already recommended them to another friend. They were very punctual. They said that it would take two days and it took two days. They did clean up the mess and they took care of the dust and all that. They were on time as they said. They moved all the furniture and it was all done very well. They were very professional. They were very good. If need be, I would use their services in the future too.

Team was professional and did an excellent job removing old carpet, refinishing floors, and moving furniture back to areas. Hope to be able to use them again when additional flooring is to be completed.

We moved out of our house for a month while work was going on. We were nervous about having this job done as our house has different angles and floor joists face different ways. Also we knew the underlying particle board needed to be removed and replaced in order for the new floor to match up to the height of ceramic tile in other areas of the house. They were not the least expensive, but were the only company who quoted the job in this way. Four others did not. They did an absolutely beautiful job and we are so happy with our new floors. They cleaned up and hauled off all debris and left our house and yard just as they found it. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. They did everything they said they would in a very professional manner.

Dan Minton and his crew are top notch! Dan was punctual/professional when giving us an estimate and through the entire process. We obtained six estimates and based upon pricing PLUS Dan's knowledge and experience (over 26 years in business), we chose his company. The other positive about using Dan's company is they only specialize in wood floors -- they are not a company trying to do it all. They know the wood flooring industry and they are professionals at getting the job done and done right! His crew showed up on time every day and kept us informed as to what to expect during the entire process. Dan was meticulous with the details and there was no need to remind him of what we wanted done. He made sure we were fully satisfied with the final outcome before collecting a dime from us, which was very refreshing! His crew did a flawless job at lacing the new floor into the old floor. They were neat and did a great job at cleaning up after the process. Dan does use a dustless system, so that helped on keeping the dust level to an absolute minimum. Our floors are gorgeous! Dan had me from hello. He was the 3rd estimate that I received and I had decided if his estimate was even in the ball park of the others, I would choose this company. He was professional, knowledgable and I trusted him. Having hardwood floors installed takes some time. I thought that I would be out of commission in my kitchen for 2 weeks. But after they removed the vinyl and layed the hardwoods they moved my stove, refrigerator and laundy BACK in their respective spaces. I could use them all that week which was a big win for me. The floors were completed the next week. They arrived on time and completed the project on time. The floors are beautiful. And the good news, his bid came in just under the others!

The cost was much more reasonable than another company that we had talked with. They were very prompt and did beautiful work. We could depend on what they told us.

Dan Minton came out more than once to provide us with an estimate to have flooring installed. His prices were very competitive and based on reviews on Angie"s List, we decided to go with him. The job was started as planned. His installer Chris seemed to be very knowledgeable. Our house has a very open floor plan, so on the first day, they installed the floor the only room (the living room) that is not connected to other rooms. The furniture had been moved out of the room for the installation and all went well. The second day they started working on most of the other areas at the same time since the floor is continuous. The furniture in the family room was not covered and was moved to one side of the room as they worked on the other side. The furniture got covered with a thick dust and we had to replace several couch pillows. It was fine for the wood furniture, but really made the upholstered furniture dirty. Had they just told me, I would have covered all the furniture, and after that day, I did cover all the furniture for the remaining days that they worked. They completed most of the house and then realized that they did not have enough wood to finish the job. All was done except the front of the foyer. Dan ordered the wood, but it took about a week for the wood to come in because it needed to be from the same lot (which we appreciated). We understand that this can happen and we were okay with it. Of course, we were not charged extra for the wood. I called Dan a couple of times to check on the status of the wood. When the wood came in, they finished the job. Our floors generally look beautiful. There is one part, where there is a step down between rooms, that was left untrimmed. The installer said that the wall would need sheetrock to fill in the gap and that the step was generally left untrimmed. When we spoke with painters, they insisted that sheetrock was not necessary. The installer returned and installed trim, but it does not look finished. Dan is a really nice guy. Our only complaint is that while the head installer was very skilled, he was a little like dealing with a teenager. He seemed unhappy to be here and difficult to approach. We felt like he was doing us a big favor when we asked questions. Overall, we are happy with the floors and with Dan.

I liked them because they did a good job. They had to cut many pieces from around the stairs, in order to make a new molding. I had some problems with the thresholds; they weren?t done very well. So, the owner came out and fixed one of them. However, I wasn?t very happy with the other one. Some of the moldings came out like it wasn?t nailed well. It was a piece that was forgotten by the initial crew. So, the owner fixed the molding that was never installed. Their price was fair; it was neither low nor high. They were recommended to me by somebody. Later, I found out that the owner?s wife was my husband?s co-worker. I?ll definitely make comparisons with other companies, before using them next time.

The owner was upfront and honest with us in explaining the pros and cons of installing flooring in our home. He recommended what was best for us and we trusted his judgment. The floor looks beautiful!

Dan was prompt in responding to my message and followed up after sending a written quote via email. He scheduled our job and called with reminders prior to the date of service. His crew was on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and showed respect for the home and owner. They used high quality products, did a very thorough job and completed all work as promised. They cleaned up all areas and left nothing for us to follow through.

Dan and his crew did a great job from start to finish. Dan met with me a couple of times to hear about what we wanted, give an estimate and bring wood samples for me to look at. He even arranged for me to go look at a house where they had installed the same wood because I had a hard time envisioning it over such a large space. The crew did a great job with the installation, being careful with our furniture and paying attention to details. They were very responsive when we asked them to come back and clean up a few spots of glue and even repainted all of the white molding again after we left them a shade that didn't quite match the first time. They have a guarantee that you don't pay until you are 100% satisfied. It gave us a lot of confidence that they would make sure the job was done right.

Dan Minton was very responsive in providing an estimate of the work to be done and accommodated my need for an evening appointment. I hired Accent Flooring to strip and refinish the hardwood floors in my kitchen and dining room. The crew arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. as promised, they moved the refrigerator, and they were meticulous about covering exposed cabinets, counters and windows with plastic. The job was completed in 3 days, as promised and the floors look great. My clean up was minimal, so I believe that they must have cleaned up some after they removed the plastic.

Accent Wood measured my floors onsite and gave me an estimate for 2 woods I selected by email within 2 days. Dan scheduled me less than 2 weeks out, once I selected his company from 2 other bids. Other than Angie's list reports, a major reason for selecting Accent Woods was that he hires employees and not contractors. They came at 8:30 AM 3 days in a row and were out by 3:30. They moved all the furniture and placed it back; they took away all the old floors; they put plastic sheets over everything. The manufacturer didn't send the reducers so they had to return (within a few days) and were done in 2 hours.
