We have hardwood floors, of various woods. After more than 7 years of wear (pets and people!) and various cleaning regimes, they were looking scratched and dull. Dan Minton came to our home and gave us a detailed and professional estimate for buffing and recoating our hardwood floors. His team turned up at the exact time they were supposed to. They were very polite, professional and helpful. The job was done quickly and efficiently. They also gave us some great tips for future floor cleaning and mainetnance. Our floors look like new again! We are very satisfied, and would use them again. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others

Left a message over a weekend for someone to call me as I wanted to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Expecting to hear on Monday but surprisingly received a phone call from Dan, the owner, over that same weekend. An eatimate appointment scheduled Dan's crew arrived on time and I was introduced to Mike. From day one I was impressed with the quality of Mike's work and his expectations of his helper. Mike demonstrated attention to detail at every phase of the project. He treated my house and property as if it were his own. He patiently answered my questions and allowed me to watch him work. Mike found a water damage problem in a small section of my sub floor and did everything he could to repair. I am very, very pleased with my new wood floor! Mike transformed the first floor of my home into a showroom.

They invited three people from Angieslist over to give us estimates and to talk about their business. He was very professional, he was not pushy, and he was very willing to work with us with every schedule we have available. I would definitely recommend them.

He was very prompt, very professional, felt like the estimate was very fair and thorough. He offered in his estimate some services like moving furniture and things like that that the other companies did not include in their estimate.

This is the second time we have used Dan Minton and his team Brandon and Scotty. They always arrive on time, are very polite, thorough, and do excellent work. Our dishwasher leaked and ruined some of our hardwood floors. They removed them, wove in replacements that match incredibly well, cleaned up all the mess in 2 part-time days. They really do incredible work. We plan on using them for the 3rd time down the road to rip off the carpet on our stairs and put in hardwoods.

Dan came and measured the space. He had good recommendations for flooring for me to look at. I made my choice and the work was scheduled. I had to follow-up on getting the estimate but once work was scheduled things went very smoothly. Randon and Scoot arrived right on time every day. They worked steadily and explained where things were in the process all along the way. Randon is an artist - he installed a "picture frame" around my fireplace and foyer entrance that is beautiful. He also took great care to design the way the flooring was laid in my living room which has some interesting/challenging corners and angles. He gave me tips on care of the floor and even how to repair light scratches. They were a pleasure to deal with. Everyone who comes to my home comments on how beautiful the floor is with special positive comments about the "picture frame" and transitions from the wood to other flooring in the kitchen and foyer. I definitely recommend this company - reasonable price, beautiful product and fabulous installation team!

Brandon showed on time and was very courteous. He was careful and diligent with his work. I was amazed at the competion of the work. Can not tell where the repair was done. Kudo's to Brandon.

The entire process went well. Dan's team were on time each day. They sealed the room with plastic as well as covered items in adjoining rooms since the wood dust finds it's way around barriers. Following each coat of finish they explained how to maintain the room's temperature to ensure it dried properly. This allowed them to complete the project within the predefined time. Since the floor of the master bath was higher and had a lip from the tile, I was told that a molding needed to be cut special to fit properly. At a convenient time, Dan returned and installed a stained and finished molding.

I met with Dan to discuss the project and received the quote when promised. Once I accepted the quote the prefinished wood was ordered and the project scheduled. The bedroom carpet was over particleboard which had to be removed and replaced with plywood to match the height of the adjoining master bath tile and the foyer tile. The hardwoods were laidi, the moulding installed and a really heavy dresser was replaced. The guys even helped me put felt padding in place under the dresser. The stairs were removed and build in place. On the landing they used the matching prefinished hardwoods. We chose to have painted risers (I like the look better than hardwoods risers), the moulding replaced on the landing and framework to the stairs primed. Michael - the project lead was pleasure to work with. He was very professional (as were all the installers) and offered tips and proper care instructions. The floor and stairs look great! I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

After 12 years, we wanted to replace the original carpeting in our bedroom and family room with hardwood flooring. We contacted Accent Wood Floors Inc. because they received really good ratings on Angie's List. I spoke with Mr. Dan Minton. He was very nice and provided estimates for the work. We scheduled a date and time for the installation. Between times, I called Mr. Minton on a number of occasions to ask questions regarding the installation and confirm the installation date. Mr. Minton was diligent in returning my calls and very patient with my many questions. Since we already had some hardwood flooring in an adjacent room, we were concerned about matching the color for the new installation. The wood was delivered approximately a week prior to installation. We removed the furniture from the installation locations the day prior to installation. Mr. Minton had offered their assistance in moving the heavier items. On installation day, the crew arrived promptly and worked throughout the day on the install. It took about 2 days to complete the installation. Next, the sanders and refinishers did their thing. Finally, the crew completed some touch-up work and replaced the moldings and vents. The results were truly amazing! We felt as if we were in a new home! The colors for the old and new flooring matched almost perfectly. We were extremely happy! I was very impressed with the overall attention to detail. We really appreciate the work, patience, and professionalism of Mr. Dan Minton and the Accent Wood Floors crew. Thanks for a job well done!

Mr Minton was very pleasant when he came to assess the job and provide an estimate. The work was scheduled to take place the week of October 7. The main reason for refinishing the floor was to eliminate discoloration left by the previous owners as a result of their leaving area rugs in place too long and the sun creating outlines of the carpets. In front of two witnesses Mr Minton stated that it would be no problem sanding the floor, staining it to the approved color and that the discoloration would no longer be visible. Upon completion of the work five days later, the discolorations were very much the same as prior to the work. I informed him that I was unhappy with the work and that it was not as contracted. At that point Mr Minton stated that at no time did he say that the discolorations would no longer exist and that he wanted his check. I told him that the work was not completed and that if it took using a darker stain to blend in the discoloration, then he should do so. He stated that he was not going to do that as it would make no difference. He further stated that I should let the sun take care of the discoloration. I told him that was not satisfactory. He asked me my intentions. I told him that unless he completed the work I would have to discuss it with an attorney to see my options. He left by saying "Thanks for nothing. First thing Monday morning I'm filing a lien against your house." This was witnessed by another vendor working on the property. I've used four Angie's List recommended vendors so far. Three of them were excellent and I rated them as A overall. However I am rating Accent Wood Floors as an F and will leave it in the hands of my attorney.

e,We had hardwood floors installed by another company while we were out of town and unable to supervise. When we saw the new flooring, we were surprised by some of the "discoloration" in the wood. We were concerned that the discoloration might be due to improper sealing or protection against UVA damage or, alternatively, that it was due to faulty moisture coming from under the floor. We didn't call the company that installed the floors because we wanted an independent opinion. Dan Minton arrived promptly for the pre-scheduled appointment and advised us that what we thought was "discoloration" was natural variation in the wood and that the floors appeared to be expertly installed. He did not charge us anything for his house call and opinion. If we install wood floors in any other areas of the house, we would definitely use Access Floors and would recommend them to others.

Team was outstanding. They did a great job. They moved washer, drier, and refrigerator for us. They refinished the floors quickly and replaced shoe molding. They also replaced some damaged wood flooring and it looks perfect. The team was respectful, professional and went above and beyond in a lot of ways. I will recommend to anyone that is looking for flooring work.

The crew (2 people) showed up at 9:00 and wrapped up at 5:00. They moved all my furniture out of the room, removed the wall to wall carpet/pad/ carpet tack and then installed the floor. They did a wonderful job and I am very pleased with the results. I had initially called Dan two weeks ago to request an estimate. He was very prompt at the appointment time (he rescheduled it once but notified me the night before.) I was on vacation this week so I requested installation this week and they were able to accommodate my request.

They were fabulous. They even moved a piano for us at a small cost. Dan and his crew were very professional. The price was very reasonable. They did a great job of cleaning up once the job was completed.

Dan and his team were fantastic. It was a small project of removing the existing carpet and gyp-crete and installing wooden floors to blend in with the existing floors. However, one month on, I am still so impressed with the workmanship. It's almost impossible to distinguish between the old and new floor. Dan quickly responded to all our calls and email questions which always helps to put one at ease. Basically, it's clear that this in not Dan's first rodeo and that he will have a solution for any problem encountered. In addition to the quality of the work done, unexpected highlights were: - The replacement of the existing metal registers with perfectly matched wooden ones. - How well the dust was contained during the removal of the gyp-crete and the sanding of the new floor. Highly recommended.

I called Dan because of the excellent ratings on Angie's. I reached him by phone (others I tried to contact had only answering machines and did not return calls). He asked me to send him the details by e-mail. He came to the house a couple days later and gave my wife and me a complete rundown on what the job would entail and the timetable. We were so impressed with his obvious expertise that I gave up trying to contact other companies. The job proceeded just as Dan had specified. His crews were professional (you need to watch them lay flooring!) and kept us informed at every step. We are pleased with the outcome. It almost seems a shame to put furniture on the beautiful hard wood.

Chris, who was in charge of the installation team, was able to overcome a problem with preexisting uneven under-flooring in our hallway, such that the hardwoods could be laid in the proper direction. They spent extra time diagnosing the problem, and then sanded down the floor before installing the hardwoods. The results are gleaming and beautiful! The team of three took up the old carpet, and was neat and courteous. Chris is easy to work with, and sincerely cares about the results. Talk to him about the pros and cons of prefinished vs. site-finished hardwoods. Dan is easy to reach by phone or e-mail. Pricing was slightly below my other quotes. I like the Somerset brand, and many do not offer it.

We selected Accent Wood Floors after getting estimates from three possible vendors. Their price was competitive and we liked their approach better. We scheduled a start date to suit us, Accent arrived on time and took out the carpet and installed the hardwood. The wood flooring was then sanded, stained to match the kitchen floor and varnished. All of this took one day, on each of the two following days the floor was lightly sanded and another coat of varnish was applied. The result is a spectacular improvement in the look of the Family Room and we are very happy with the way the job was done.

Not much to tell, I called, he came out, followed up with an estimate, we scheduled the work, the crew cleaned up perfectly every day, did a wonderful job. Would use them again absolutely.

Called Dan Minton at Accent Wood Flooring - based upon Angie's List reputation. Dan was very good to work with as he had some good suggestions and was always prompt in returning phone calls and emails. Absolutely no pressure whatever -which was refreshing. The quote was competitive. The crew, led by Chris the foreman, showed up on time as scheduled each day.. Chris is a real pro with lots of experience in installing floors and a very hard worker. The removed the furniture from the rooms, took up the carpeting in the LR and DR and the old wood floor in the foyer, took up the particle board, very very tidy. They then put down new asphalt paper over the sub-floor and installed the hardwood flooring. They did a good job of staining the shoe molding to match the flooring. They put on felt pads on all the legs of the chairs and the 'feet' of the furniture and then carefully put all furniture back. We are very pleased with the entire job and it made a big difference in our LR and DR of our 30+ year-old home. I have already recommended Accent Wood Floors to a neighbor and would highly recommend them. They are very professional.
