Description of Work: My husband set up a time to come to the house to do an estimate. He left work early as the appnt was late afternoon. No one showed up, no call, nothing!?! Why is it so difficult to get a responsive business to do floor installation?

Description of Work: Replaced carpet in den, vinyl floor in kitchen, dinette, pantry, and existing hardwood in foyer with pre-stained hardwood. They did exactly what we asked in a timely manner.

I have a couple of e-mails asking me to review my experience with the company that installed my wood floor in the powder room, and now you have said that I have already done that. ?? Our experience with Accent Wood Floor was very good. They did a great job for us, and Dan Minton was very professional.

Description of Work: Accent Wood Flooring did a wonderful job refinishing the wood floors in our new (to us) house. We had work done on 5 rooms - foyer, living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms. They ripped up the carpet in each room and refinished the 1966 hardwood floors underneath. We were lucky in that the floors were pristine so we did not have any problems. The job was started on a Monday and done by Saturday. The team (Alex and Brandon) were very polite, clean and responsive and I felt comfortable giving them the key to the house to let themselves in and out. Alex would text me pictures at the end of each day so that I could see the progress (we were not living in the house at the time). I would highly recommend Accent Wood Floors and we will definitely use them when we refinish the floors in the rest of the house after some renovations.

Description of Work: I called Accent Wood Floors based solely on the Angie's List reviews and had a lengthly conversation with Dan Minton about different types of hardwood flooring. We made an appointment for him to come to my home a week later. He showed up on time and measured the first floor for the removal of some tile, installation of site finished flooring and the refinishing of existing hardwoods we have in our house and the second floor for carpet removal and the installation of solid hardwoods. I thought he seemed genuinely interested in our project in that he spent nearly an hour at our home discussing flooring options and measuring. He left with the promise of an estimate and we then waited a week without any word from him. After a week, I called both numbers and left a message at one expressing interest in working with him and asking for an estimate on what we had discussed. After two and a half weeks, we have not heard a single word from him either via telephone or e-mail. Not sure why he wasted nearly an hour of his time or mine if he wasn't interested/able. He should have been honest and upfront or at least had the decency to return my call and decline the project. Don't waste your time because he may well waste yours.

Description of Work: We had water damage in 3 spots in our new condo. This is tricky to fix, since the floors are delicate, that pre-finished wood that is actually quite thin (not solid wood, more like a veneer). I had 3 other estimates and they were all very high. The guys tried to tell me I had to replace much larger patches to fit the new wood in well, and/or that the color would be really different until it aged properly. Accent wood's guy was clear, crisp and professional. He gave me a price close to the estimate I had gotten before I bought the condo, came on time and did a beautiful job that DID match (with leeway for darkening). No pressure to do anything else and excellent work in a tricky, fit-it in like a puzzle situation.
