Description of Work: Karen came to my home, listened to my ideas, and immediately set to work waisting no time. She is a ball of energy and helped me move furniture around that would look best in out family room, causing me to think out of the box a bit which I loved. She helped me decorate for Christmas in the process and hung a wall of pictures. She was here for 3 hours and we worked almost the entire time. I would recommend her and use her services again. Best of all the work that was done was husband approved. He loved it!

Description of Work: Karen was fabulous working with mom to decorate and do window treatment for her new home at Sun City. She was very caring and always gave her special attention to make sure mom was happy. Mom will definitely use her again and would highly recommend her to others.

Description of Work: I called Karen a few weeks ago to come over and help me figure out what to do with my gathering room that's connected to the kitchen. It's a small space and I didn't know where to begin. So this bubbly person comes to my door ready to figure out what to do! She spent several hours here checking all my rooms for furniture placement and looking to see if we could something from another room. She also was very generous in her comments regarding my own decorating and furniture placement. She offered some new ideas for other rooms, too. After figuring out what would work, she decided the best thing to do would be to go shopping together. I went through some catalogs and showed her what I liked. She called a few stores to see who carried that manufacturer's merchandise. We were finally able to get together yesterday and spent about 5 hours having a great time. It was like shopping with a good friend. She helped me to discover some new places to shop, too. I found the perfect couch and lamp for the room. Still have to find another piece or two but have to wait until the furniture is delivered. Karen is a very outgoing, funny and gracious woman and I enjoyed working with her. I am new to South Carolina so I am very grateful for her expertise in decorating and in navigating our way around town. It was fun and I highly recommend her.

Description of Work: After reading all of the positive reviews for this design group I decided to contact them to help with my family room. I contacted them on Sept. 12th through their website under and still have not heard back from anyone (9/24/12).

Description of Work: I hired her for a 2 hour initial consultation for a very reasonable price. She came in and went right to work. We ended up talking about four areas of my home that I wanted help on. She rearranged furniture in two of them and changed accessories around and the rooms look GREAT! We discussed everything from rugs to window treatments to paint.

Description of Work: Karen came to our house to consult on paint color selections for 8 different rooms. She brought her expertise on color and design and helped us make a lot of decisions on color in a 2 hour period. She also referred us to David Chiodo, an excellent custom home painter that we did not previously know since we had never had custom painting done.

Description of Work: I had spoken with Karen on decorating for a home that we are in the process of building. We set a time and confirmed via email. On the day of the appointment, Karen emails me and tells me she is in Atlanta and either she could arrive later in the day of the original appointment or come the next day. I emailed Karen back and let her know that my husband and I would not be available the following day and we could meet her later in the day. My husband and I rearranged our schedule so we could accommodate her. We waited 30 minutes into the rescheduled appointment and I then emailed Karen to find out where she was, since she had not called to say she was going to be late for her "rescheduled" appointment. She was a no-show and did not have the decency to call or email us when we changed our plans to accommodate her.

Description of Work: I called Karen because I needed help selecting interior paint colors. Additionally, I wanted some advice on interior decor. I looked at several Angie's list companies in this category, but selected Karen because the reviews indicated that she worked on both large projects and small since I have a limited budget. I am so glad I called Karen!

Description of Work: I was SO undecided about paint colors for my remodeled rooms and was desperate because of time constraints, so I checked Angie's List for Interior Designers. When I sent Karen an e-mail telling her how quickly I needed help, she responded that she could come the next morning! She came on time and went with me through the house looking at paint samples I had put on different walls, fabric samples and completed floor and tile work, etc. Karen was great in showing me WHY the paint color would work in different rooms with the different fabrics. What a TREMENDOUS relief I felt! I am now making my draperies and appreciating Karen's help even more.

Description of Work: Ms. O'Hora was hired to help settle my home, unpack boxes, set up rooms etc. She went over and above the duties of a decorator to make the transition and move a pleasant one. She worked tirelessly to perfect the look of each room and was willing to continually work to "create a look" that fit out home and lifestyle. I found Ms. O'Hora to be cutting edge and up to date with her decorating approach. She was always researching the latest look or style and approached the job with such enthusiasm it was "contagious" !!!! I will most certainly use her again.

Description of Work: My husband and I recently moved into a home which was new construction. We love to entertain and we were anxious to have the house feel like 'home'. Description of Work: Karen previewed my new home. She evaluated what I would transition from my apartment and what would be added to the new house and existing furniture. She oversaw the pre-move in cleaning crew and was integral in directing the moving crew as my time was very limited on that day. Her team assisted with seating everything in its place and made it feel like my new home that first night. She is still working on several projects in the house and I am very pleased with her progress. I look forward to sharing some of the finished photos.

Description of Work: Karen helped pick out paint colors... which look great. Added some accessories around that she found at a discounted rate. It was amazing to me, that the things that I would have spent hundreds of dollars on, she found for much less. She helped to organize closets, set up systems to keep me organized, helped with schedules, all while making my house a home. Karen comes highly recommended by me. Her price points were much less than those interviewed prior to here. In fact, when i met Karen, I hired her on the spot. She always was punctual, and very professional. I was very impressed with her talent. She is truly gifted.

Description of Work: I asked for a quote for organizing our large basement and help my daughter decorate it. She quoted me "...approximately 30 hours.,cost will be $2400. That will include: Organization, Rearranging pieces that we discussed, Fabric selection/furniture selection, Carpet Selection Planning for kitchen Cafe etc. As I shared, I will take your daughter with me to make these selections. I have also gathered several palates and books for her to look at for your walls. work about 9:00am-2:00pm. four days give or take." I was going to do only the organizing and my daughter wanted to work on some of the decorating and would ask for help if she need help later on. (We did pay for her "consulting time"') I asked for another quote for the organizing part, she wrote:" I will need 20 hrs. from 9am until 2:00pm 4-5 days. That will cost you $1600 ..."
