 + -1 moreMy baseboards are 6"+ and the gates needed to be hung on wrought iron railings so I could not put them up myself without much difficulty and many mistakes. He placed the gates properly and made them so that they would not hit doorways or walls when opened. A great job.....in and out within the hour.
Description of Work: Installed two gates at the top of stairs.

 + -1 moreVery easy. Bob was great. His work was perfect. All of the gates are secure and perfectly strait. He is very detailed oriented and it showed in the quality of his work.
Description of Work: Bob initially came to my home and gave me a very detailed safety assessment ($35.00), which was very helpful. He then gave me a list of everything that he recommended that we install. He was very open to me going to babies-r-us and getting the items and doing it myself if I did not want to move forward with buying products from him.

 + -1 moreOverall, Bob did a great job. He is very professional and does not talk you into anything you don't want. He explains everything and can answer your questions. He also tried to contain costs and came up with some solutions that didn't require work or money on my part. He also gave a good appraisal of items available at retailers that work or don't work in the event that I need to do some quick childproofing after the fact.
Description of Work: We recently moved to Charlotte, so I have had a little time to do some childproofing, but since I have a 13 month old and am due to have our second child next week, I had Bob come over and check out what is in place, what might be a good idea to have and to give me an overall estimate. Bob did just that. He came and did a thorough once-over of each room in our home, asking questions along the way. Then he came up with a list of what he would recommend, along with pricing for each item so that we could pick and choose, rather than accept/reject in its entirety. This trip cost $35.00 and there was no pressure from Bob to buy. I reviewed the list, selected what I wanted and called Bob for a return trip to install the devices that my husband and I felt were crucial, plus a few that we thought would be good down the road.

 + -1 moreGreat work! Bob was very thorough, knowledgeable and quick with his work. I was extremely pleased with the quality of work and his knowledge of safety issues, etc. I would highly recommend A Safe Child to anyone needing child-proofing measures in their home. We'd definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Bob installed 5 baby gates (including one on our deck), several nylon and magnetic cabinet and drawer locks and one plexiglass barrier for on overlook into our family room.

 + -1 moreBOB'S REVIEW WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPED US FOCUS ON THE POTENTIAL HAZARDS IN EACH ROOM. HE WAS HELPFUL WITHOUT PUSHING EXPENSIVE OPTIONS ON US. WE WILL DEFINITELY CONSIDER HAVING HIM BACK OUT TO INSTALL GATES AND OTHER DEVICES ONCE OUR REMODELING PROJECTS ARE FINISHED.
Description of Work: BOB WENT THROUGH OUR HOME (BUILT IN THE 1940'S) AND POINTED OUT POTENTIAL HAZARDS IN EACH ROOM. HE GAVE ESTIMATES FOR THE COST OF INSTALLING VARIOUS SAFETY DEVICES, INCLUDING GATES, LATCHES, SAFETY OUTLETS, ETC.
