24 Hour Air & Heat

Called 24 Hr as one AC unit failed. It was a Friday evening and had no choice. It need up being a capacitor which we were charged $212 for a $10 item. The technician said we had a freon leak and if we ran it it would kill the compressor. They could return in the AM and replace all the coils for $ 2500 + Long story short, our regular service person came tuesday and told us all was good and that there was no leak and all the freon was good A TOTAL RIPOFF FROM A COMPANY

I called many of the bigger companies with my air conditioning emergency that occurred in the middle of a heat wave. 24 Hour Air was the ONLY one who responded to my emergency like it was an emergency. The bigger, more known companies all wanted me to make appointments for as far as a week out. I'm glad I found 24 Hour Air and would recommend anyone with an immediate HVAC need to call them FIRST.

Woke up on Christmas Eve morning to find that our house was very cold as the furnace/heater had stopped working during the night. I immediately went to Angies List and found these guys (24 hour Air). I called them on the phone and scheduled an appointment. I called at 0800 hours and the technician was at my house by 0945, this was fantastic given that it was basically a holiday. The technician, Anthony, was very courteous and professional. He worked through some possible issues (starter, motor, ect). It was ultimately determined that a long term solution would be replacing the entire unit rather than replacing the motor (at approximately $700). I appreciated the honesty exhibited by Anthony, since 24 hours Air only does repairs he didn't have anything to gain telling about the short term/long term options.

Our AC stopped working in the afternoon, and by the evening we realized the fan had stopped turning on the unit outside. We called 24 Hr Air, and the technician showed up at 10:30 in great spirits and exceedingly helpful with the situation - ensuring he would try to find the least expensive solution first. We didnt know there was an extra external breaker box for the AC unit that had tripped - so he flipped it and it started working again! We were surprised it was only $89 for an after hours weekend house call - and even more surpirsed that as we thought we were finished when he topped off the refigerant...we were walking away and the breaker box blew! Sparks were flying and it melted - would have caught the house on fire if we had not seen it and if he had not replaced it that night...unreal! Overall cost was completely reasonable,Anthony was incredibly nice/professional, and the service/fix was perfect. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Great. I rated price as B only because I do not have any comparison cost. Im sure it could have been worse but 425 is still alot of money. I called at 6:45 this morning, spoke to a real employee and got an appt for 9:00-10:00 am. The tech was on time, polite and explained the problem in terms I could understand. Meanwhile it is now after 11am and I still have not gotten a call back from Morris Jenkins. I called them first and got an answering service who took my info for someone to call me back. Good thing I did not wait on them or I might have icicles growing off my nose by the time they get around to me.
