This was a pleasant, easy experience.

Brian was the lead on the project. He was there daily working with the team. He was professional in every regard and kept us apprised of all details. My only wish would be that I had called Mold Solutions when we first bought the house.

What a lifesaver! We had a water pipe burst on Dec. 22. Called plumber to repair corroded pipe. Then floor began to bulge. The carpet was dry. After reading AngiesList January magazine article on "Mold", we called our insurance agent. He had us file a claim with the insurance company. The adjuster came out. "You don't have mold. I don't smell anything". Visited showroom of carpet store. He came right out, pulled up the edges of carpet in a few places. The particleboard underneath was wet, almost soggy. "You don't have mold." We'll pull up the particleboard, and install new carpeting." Ten days later the carpet arrived. It was scheduled to be installed in 2 days. I decided to pull up the area of carpet where there had originally been the wet area on carpet. I saw black mold, and white mold. I pulled back a larger area of carpet and padding, an area the size of my hand, of blue mold flew into the air. I immediately felt burning and swelling in my throat. Now I was scared. It was a rough night. What do you do for mold poisoning? The next morning I got on AngiesList - Mold Remediation. I chose Mold Solutions because they were nearby, had great ratings,and would come out that day to evaluate. They had an opening next day, otherwise had to wait 1 week. What a relief! They sealed off the contaminated area. Carpet, padding and moldy particle board were pulled up. New plywood floor was installed. Luckily the mold did not invade the sheetrock walls. They cleaned the air of mold spores. I am so grateful! Thank you so very much. I have such peace of mind. I felt confident that Mold Solutions was knowledgeable and concerned. It was a hard work, that required accurate expertise in dealing with this dangerous contamination. Our insurance company covered the plumber, mold remediation, and new carpet , (after our $2500 deductible). My advice: Call Mold Solutions immediately if you've had a water leak. Don't take the advice of the insurance adjuster or carpet company. It was 1 month from the water leak, until problem was solved. We were very fortunate that the mold problem was not much, much worse.

After making an inquiry through Angie's List, Rich called us and asked us what we needed done. His colleague Jeff was able to come the next day to do a general assessment of our issue (leak in second floor bathroom with visible mold around vent) as well as do an additional assessment of our crawlspace. We received a detailed estimate for the roof/bathroom repair as well as an estimate (in two phases) for rectifying the mold situation in our crawlspace. With the roof repair, Jeff gave us the option of just doing the ceiling repair and mold removal or doing that plus the roof and roof vent (the possible cause of the leak that caused it in the first place). He mentioned that it was possible that the roof was fine and that the mold was caused by an old leak that we had repaired by a roofer and that doing the ceiling only could possible solve it. We appreciated this less expensive option, but decided to go forward with the entire roof repair, just to be safe. We could not be happier with the results. Jeff and his team came on time and were in and out of the house by the afternoon. They cut out the mold in the ceiling, replaced the ceiling piece, insulation above that in the attic, and the roof above that. They repainted the ceiling and you can't even tell we had an issue (actually, it makes the rest of the bathroom look shabby and I think we may need to change our 1970's fixtures soon) :) They completely prepped the area and floors so they left the house spotless. We are extremely happy with the results and highly recommend. We are trying to figure out financing to do the crawlspace projects because we do like these guys a lot and we really need it done.

I discovered a small amount of mold in my crawlspace and called Mold Sollutions. They were very quick to come out and thoroughly examined the entire crawlspace. Rich (owner) was very friendly and knowledgable. I was getting a new HVAC installed at the same time, and they were happy to work around the hvac company. All of the workmen were great, and they even worked on a Saturday to get everything done. The end result was fantastic and exactly the price quoted.

The condo that I own and that my son and roommate live in had a serious mold problem...I called Rich and he and business partner Jeff came over and evaluated the problem and not only did the repair and mold remediation within the time frame they had indicated, but also did a wonderful job of cleanup. I also mentioned when they first looked at the bathroom mold that the shower diverter in the bathtub seemed frozen and the only way to fill the tub was with the shower...Rich said that there was a plumber they used who he would call to fix it ...in fact I found water on the kitchen floor in the condo and asked Rich if he could contact his plumber to come out...he did and we found that the old under sink water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced which Rich took care of for me. As my husband was seriously ill , I very much appreciated Rich's help not just with the mold remediation, but with his help dealing with the water tank issue, etc. I would definitely recommend Rich to anyone.

They told me that I did not even have a mold problem. They gave me suggestions to fix it myself, and even some other people that could help me with the issue. They also gave me general advise on how I can maintain my home and avoid the issues.

Rich came in and quoted the work, explaining exactly what they would do and offering options with pros and cons for each possibility. He then performed the work on schedule as quoted. He always kept me informed. A month later I contracted with Terminex for termite prevention, and their inspector examined the wrapped crawlspace and told me that it was one of the rare ones that had been done really properly. This was because the insulation left a gap where they could inspect for termite activity. Apparently contractors often insulate crawlspaces without leaving such an inspection gap, and it is impossible to see if termites are coming in underneath it.
