Rich took the time on the phone with me to let me know that no work needed to be done except simple things I could do myself. He actually talked himself out of a job! This makes me trust him that much more if an actual mold problem comes up in the future.

It went great! I received a quick response back from Rich. Although snow prevented any travel, I had a Virtual Mold Consultation via pictures and subsequent call. This was incredibly helpful. After examining the pictures and asking me a few questions, Rich summarized the situation and provided recommended "next steps." And his recommendation was that it wasn't serious! It could be a DIY or handled by the flooring replacement person. This virtual consultation saved us both time and saved me the cost of a consultation trip. I worked with another company who told me they could get the job done, but after tearing up our walls they said couldn't do it. In comes MSG to the rescue. These guys are the real deal...Rich, Jeff, and Allston effectively communicate and analyze the situation - they are problem solvers and straight shooters. They are not like your normal contractors who you call multiple times, don't call back, finally get an appointment, and then they are late or cancel. This was a great experience! This company has embraced modern technology to reduce cost and then passed those cost savings on to the end customer. I was in the middle of kitchen demolition and found what I suspected to be black mold behind some cabinetry. I took multiple photos with my phone and text messaged them to the virtual consultation number on their website. Within 15 minutes they called me to discuss the issue. The gentlemen confirmed that the photos did appear to show mold on the drywall. He then spent 15 minutes or so discussing the various options, along with the pros and cons of the various approaches. He wasn't pushy and never tried to use any scare tactics to sell his services. I really felt he was just providing his sound and honest advice. This is the future of business in this sector, no doubt. This crew understands how to operate efficiently.

If you have an issue with mold, this is the first call you should make. Rich returned our call in minutes asking for pictures. He came along side of us and worked with us through the whole process of cleaning mold in the crawlspace, under floors in the house, and from a couple water leaks. Rich was never pushy. He advised us on things that we could do (instead of paying someone else) and how to do it to save money. He went so far as to suggest we combine the mold remediation in the crawlspace (that his company was supposed to do) with another job with another vendor figuring combining the work with the other vendor would save us money. I always felt that Rich had our best interest in mind when we talked and planned. Rich made an overwhelming situation much easier. His staff was all great and knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend this company if you have mold.

I called and asked for a consult. I wasn't sure what they were or how worried I should be. I called and spoke with Rich. He asked that I text him some pictures to look at. He got back to me immediately and said that I had nothing to worry about. He explained everything and didn't charge me anything!

The service provider missed our first appointment to a**** the mold. He then expressed that he would be back out to the home when he was back in my area. I called him two-three days in a row to contact him about rescheduling the appointment and didn't pick up the phone. I finally explained to him via voicemail, that I was feeling forced to contact Angie's List and leave a review on the company. After that voicemail, that's when he started blowing up my phone, while I was at work. I felt like his credibility was gone, since it took me saying that I was going to leave a review, for him to actually respond.

Rich was amazing and super friendly! He called me back within 15 minutes of my initial contact through the Angie's list website. Based on the pictures I provided, Rich assisted me as a consultant over the phone and via email. He told me the steps I needed to take to fix the issue myself and didn't charge me a dime. Eventhough they didn't technically do any work for me, I would and will highly recommend The Mold Solutions Group to anyone in need of mold remediation!

I was given advice over the phone regarding a small patch of mold, why it might be there and how I could take care of it. In fact the conditions suggested were exactly what was happening. I was very impressed by the professional and open discussion of my situation, the free advice that was offered. After the holidays I will be contacting the service for another issue regarding our home. Based on the reviews I've noted on Angies, I reached out to The Mold Solution Group regarding concerns I had related to mold in my house. I spoke with Rich regarding these concerns, and was extremely impressed by his overall professionalism and expertise during our conversation. During the phone call he took time to understand the problem by asking probing questions. Based on the information provided, he was able to recommend trying some DIY / alternative solutions prior to me getting him further involved. None of his suggested solutions will require his services, and as such, I was very impressed with his honesty and his customer-first attitude. Thank you Rich for your time. I purchased a Big Deal, but even with that $49 it was not competitive with another firm. Their professionalism was good. The inspection was thorough. The price was more expensive than others. I would use them again, except I would try to get a better price out of them.
