 + -1 moreHe was on time and called prior to coming, which was at night after hours from his other jobs. I left prior to his completion of the work. He left me a bill and I payed later by check in the mail.
Description of Work: I needed someone to perform a general HVAC check on my heatpump before I moved to a different state. I called a Carrboro company three times and left three voicemail messages to return my call to schedule the service, (Boer Brothers), because I had used them in the past for an emergency and was pleased with their response. However, this time, no one called me back. I called Mr. Tapp, and he was prompt and able to perform the service within a few days.

 + -1 moreThe AC went out on a Sunday. We called Stan and he came out that day even though it was a Sunday. He could have just added the freon to the AC unit but instead he went ahead and checked out the entire unit and found a big piece of insulation that has been stuck in the in-take pipe. That had to have been there for years and no one else bothered to check that and find it. We'd definitely call Stan again!
Description of Work: Added freon to the AC unit. Checked the in-take pipe and cleaned it. Checked the fan blades. Checked the overall health of the AC unit.

Description of Work: Stanley has come out 3 or 4 times to solve various problems and has been a great person to work with. I have been impressed that he actually troubleshoots and replaces the bad part in the heating system instead of just trying to sell me a whole new unit. He has also done some duct work and dryer vent work, all of it fairly priced and completed very professionally.

dryer vent cleaning
 + -1 moreHe came exactly at the time he said he would. He was very prompt, courteous and did a good, quality job. We thought the price was very fair.
Description of Work: He installed a dryer vent. It went the through the width of our house to get outside.

 + -1 moreGreat! We got estimates on all the different alternatives. He was very forthcoming about the possible complications to each choice. He did the work very quickly, even staying late to make sure the job was done.
Description of Work: Our a/c wasn't cooling. It's a very old system. Stanley evaluated what we needed, presented alternatives and ended up replacing the condenser.

 + -1 moreHE WAS A VERY CONSIDERATE AND DOWN-TO-EARTH MAN. HE IS VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES AND HE WORKS HARD AT HIS JOB. EVERYTHING IS WORKING EFFICIENTLY NOW AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ANYMORE.
Description of Work: HE DID SOME SERVICE WORK ON MY HEATING AND A/C UNIT, AND ALSO REPAIRED DUCT WORK.
