Steve Doyle did a great job. Being the executor of my father?s estate, I was in charge of selling his house. I thought it would be overwhelming but Steve walked me through the process step by step and everything went smoothly. With his knowledge and expertise of the area and housing trends we received multiple offers within a few days of listing the house. I will definitely use Steve again and highly recommend him.

Amy was OUTSTANDING. She working night/day and on weekends with us to find the perfect home. She was always able to cater to our busy schedules. She was extremely knowledgeable in the entire home buying process. She knows what to look for and did a great job to educate us as first time home buyers. She knows how to structure offers so that they stand out to the sellers but by still keeping your best interest at heart. I do not have one negative thing to say about Amy with Newstone Realty. Highly, highly impressed!
Description of Work: We worked with Amy Bytnar of Newstone to find and purchase our first home.

Amy Bytnar, of Newstone Realty, is a wonderful real estate agent. She was referred to us by a friend of ours and we are very glad that they did. We were selling the house that both my mother and mother-in-law had lived in until they passed away in 2007 and 2013, so it was an emotional situation. But Amy was not only professional, but compassionate and understanding. Throughout the entire process of selling the house, Amy was helpful, encouraging, and very knowledgeable in every aspect of the real estate market in the Triangle area. The photographs of the house were amazing, and along with her descriptions were a major part of our selling our home in just a few days?for more than we had hoped to get! Her ideas on staging were minimal, but the effect was maximal. Amy was very conscious of our budget, making suggestions of ways to improve the appearance of the house but not calling for expensive make-overs. With her hard work in the front yard (she even dug a flower bed!) the curb appeal was better than it had ever been. All necessary repairs were handled and supervised by her and were within our budget. We had not ever sold a house, and it had been 30 years since we had bought one, but we found that Amy was an invaluable resource in answering all of our questions. She was right on the mark in determining the market value of the house and got the best possible deal for us. And best of all, Amy has become a dear friend to us, staying in touch regularly even six months after we closed on the house. If we ever need to sell our own house, or want to downsize, we will definitely call on Amy to help us find the perfect place for us to call home.

There is only one way to describe Steve and hellip;absolutely amazing!! I flew in from out of state, and wanted to look at as many houses as possible, choose an area of town, find a great house and buy it, all in a week. I contacted Steve before making my travel plans, and was so impressed with him that I didn't even call any other Realtors. I immediately knew that he was the one for me. He spent time on the phone and via email with me before I came to town, and we had a plan in place for the first day of house hunting. He picked me up at my hotel, and we started our whirlwind tour! That first day we drove by 19 houses, and went in many of them. He was able to set up viewing appointments while we were sitting outside of the houses. That saved a ton of time since we didn't have to take a separate day to view the ones that interested me. Steve is a general contractor; so he was able to point out things that were major problems, minor problems, or cosmetic problems. He is very focused on your exit strategy as well. It doesn't matter if you plan to live in the house for a few years or a long time, chances are that you will want to sell it some day. He would point out things that would help or hurt me on resale. That is something that is very important, and mostly overlooked when you are buying a house. Steve blew me away with his dedication to finding a house for me in such a short time. He pretty much dropped everything and was putting in 12-hour days with me. In 10 days we did find the right house and got our offer accepted! Even after that, he was still giving 110 percent. Since I was out of state again, he came out to the property and met with the home inspector, the septic inspector, and dealt with getting the minor repairs completed that the home inspector found. And he was very helpful at the closing as well. Not to mention the great Buyer's Credit that I received at closing. He actually gives you a percentage of his commission toward your closing costs! Bottom line, you aren't going to find a better Realtor. He is honest, dedicated, friendly, knowledgeable, and has great communication skills. I've never met a Realtor like him before, and probably never will again! He's one of a kind, and simply the best!

I moved here about a year and a half ago. I just got freakishly lucky to have found Steve. I would give his company 157 stars out of 10. He is really brilliant. He used to be a general contractor. So I just called him to say that I was getting a renovation done and he said that he would come by to look at it. If need be, then I would definitely use his services in the future too.
Description of Work: Home Buying For Less helped me buy a new home in 2009. Steve is my real estate agent. My last interaction with him was within the last six months. He was doing a followup on the sale that he had done the year before.

I would not be in my fantastic new home (especially in this market) were it not for Steve Doyle. Period. What do you need in a real estate agent? 1) Someone who knows what every square inch of land in the Triangle is worth, and/or what it’s not worth. 2) Someone who will call or email you back with the answers you need immediately. 3) Someone who keeps in you informed, in real time, as to exactly what is happening with your transaction all the way through, even after closing. 4) Someone who is, ON TOP of being a GREAT agent (more about that in a minute…), ALSO a GENERAL CONTRACTOR. You don’t pay for this extra vast continent of expertise; it just comes with Steve Doyle. [In fact, miraculously, you pay LESS, because of HBFL’s rebate structure.] Steve’s technical knowledge and experience as a contractor is stunning to observe, and comforting to have on YOUR side. It’s a bit like working with a superhero: he can see (like Superman’s x-ray vision), hear (like a vampire bat) or smell (like and Emperor moth) an ‘issues’ or ‘problems’ homes that no other agent could. That means, when you go to look at a house with him, he, while responsibly advising you to eventually get a full inspection, just ‘happens’ to notice items that a) might be of immediate concern, b) you might have to consider in the future and, most importantly, he can use those items to negotiate the best possible terms (perhaps in overall price, perhaps in repair costs) on your behalf. 5) You need an agent who is an excellent negotiator, a person who has as many strategies as there are sellers and other agents, and, who, up front, takes the time to learn and understand YOUR needs. There is no “one size fits all” in the real estate world, and Steve will repeatedly consider you, your life, your family, your hopes (and even your wallet) into every aspect of your home-buying process. 6) You need an agent who can handle any crisis; there will be at least one, or something that feels like one, and Steve will help steer you through it. 7) You need an agent who is DETAIL ORIENTED, someone who will not let you miss a contract deadline, and believe me, there are many, and Steve really saved me once in my case; I was mortified that I missed something, but when I did (actually, more importantly, before I did), there was Steve, calling me on his cell-phone with a gentle reminder… As I tried to express my gratitude, Steve just said, “hey, it’s my job.” Yes, well, his “job” was MY HOME, and I remain grateful for his conscientiousness, multifaceted expertise, understanding, help and kindness. Add to that HBFL’s other agents and professionals, the fact that you are getting white-glove service from each of them, AND that you receive a significant rebate at closing, there is simply no other sensible choice, at least not for me. I am thankful to have found Steve, Lia, Lisa and everyone at HomeBuyingForLess.
