Description of Work: Mario was hired to cover popcorn ceilings then we learned he also could help us create and tile a bathroom shower. Mario and his crew are wonderful and talented and can do just about any job you need around the house. They are expert painters and are repainting our kitchen cabinets now - not an easy thing to do! Mario and his crew also put in some sun tubes - which we love. The list is much longer because we like his work. I will be sad when they leave! .

Description of Work: Hired him to remove old vinyl and install tile on the floor of two small bathrooms and a laundry closet.

Description of Work: I used Mario Grimaldo couple of years ago. They recently did the drywall repair and painting, replacing skylights, repainting the ceiling and some other repair works. He came to do the work in April.

Description of Work: I got a quote from Mario Grimaldo for painting, carpentry and general repair work.

Description of Work: We have a large walk in shower stall and there was evidence that we had a water problem in the floor. Mario started by removing the floor tiles and lower wall tiles, this led to the need replace the pan in floor and the cement lining. (This was anticipated as part of the estimate.) Once the project was underway, we decided to replace all the grout in the shower, too.

Description of Work: He gave me an estimate for taking out the tile floor, putting new tile in, and regrouting it.

Description of Work: Did ceramic tiling of a shower enclosure, patched drywall in closet and garage, painted walk-in closet, installed laminate flooring in walk-in closet, fixed towel bars in 2 bathrooms.

Description of Work: We have used Mario Grimaldo several tmes. He remodeled our kitchen last January. He put in drywall, laid ceramic tile, put in a back splash, took out all of the wood molding and replaced it, shaved down the outside doors to go over the tile floor, put in light fixtures, etc. He basically did everything for the remodel except the cabinets and counter. I found him on Angie's List.

Description of Work: He removed lower kitchen cabinets, walls where cabinets had been with back splash.Removed linoleum floor. Moved electrical and plumbing and replaced walls for another company to install cabinets. After cabinets were installed he installed 300 square foot of tile flooring which included replacing some sub flooring. Installed range hood, dishwasher, sink, lighting and ceiling fans. He had to cut exterior doors for tile to clear. Installed a custom back splash to my specifications. He completed his portion of the remodel in less than three weeks.

Description of Work: Mario and his colleague tiled a very specialized custom shower with lots of bizarre angles including an angled ceiling.

Description of Work: Although I hired this contractor primarily for tile work (because of recommendation in Angie's List), I found that Mr. Grimaldo was able to do many of the repairs/updates needed in my townhouse. He laid ceramic tile in the large kitchen (after first removing the linoleum, the asphalt tile under the linoleum and the black adhesive under the asphalt tile). He also replaced the floor tile in the small downstairs bath, installed marble threshold, new toilet and new vanity - again a meticulous job. He removed a damaged wood parquet floor in living area in preparation for a carpet installer to put in carpet (after the carpet install, Mr. Grimaldo cut down the bottom of the front door and installed a "sweeper"to accommodate the height of the carpet which was taller than the previous floor). He removed old, damaged ceramic on the bathtub surround in the upstairs bath and put in new ceramic tiles in the bathtub surround. He also replaced the tub faucets and shower. Because the old fixtures were 30 years old and fittings obsolete, he had to replumb the tub for new fixtures. Mr. Grimaldo had to cut a piece of drywall out in the bedroom behind the bathroom to access the plumbing. After the new plumbing install, he repaired the wall and painted it - you can't tell it was ever cut. He also repainted entire downstairs and wall going upstairs and repaired the loose handrail up the stairs. In addition, he put all furniture back in place and he and his wife cleaned the townhouse before my son and his roommate moved back into the townhouse (they had moved out for the 10 days it took to do the work). It was immaculate. The cost I listed included all supplies except the following items which I purchased and Mr. Grimaldo picked up: paint, toilet, vanity, tile.
