Laura Moore - Landscape Architect

Laura came to the yard/house and we discussed what was needed. She drew up several sets of beautiful drawings to show me what she had in mind, and revised them as needed when she got feedback from me and her contactor. She is very creative and professional. I first contacted her last May when I knew I was going to move into a small house in an older part of Durham, NC. Laura's design work was always timely, and, since she had a contractor she was used to working with, so I agreed to work with him. Her contractor does excellent work, but is sometimes slow and hard to get back to do the work -- this job has been going on since last spring, and is not quite done. In her defense, Laura has tried to "speed him up." Laura also dealt with the city of Durham in order to get permits for the work to be done -- she had to get it "grandfathered in" since, according to present code, the building was going to be too close to the property line. I really appreciated her work/research/advocacy on that score. I highly recommend her, The cost given is for Laura's design work only; her contractor's work will exceed $40,000!
