I told him to go ahead and do the work. He got in touch to schedule the work and did it right away. He provided photos of the finished work and I paid him. PERFECT! Thanks for a job well done! I will certainly use him again!
Description of Work: REPAIR CHIMNEY FLASHINGS: Re-fasten existing flashings to masonry; Apply top-quality, heavy-bodied polyurethane-rubber sealant to seal flashings to masonry; Also seal gaps in flashings at chimney corners; INSTALL MORTAR CAP: Chisel away existing mortar around perimeter, and clean brick surfaces for good adhesion; Install new mortar cap; INSTALL CHIMNEY CAP of black painted galvanized steel; REPAIR TORN GUTTER IN FRONT: Install new gutter strap and aluminum reinforcement at corner; Seal crack with above sealant (white):

+ 6 moreJohn is very handy, seasoned, and professional. What I also appreciate is that he will tell you when he cannot do a job, if he feels it's out of his scope. His prices are a little higher than a run-of-the-mill handyman, but his work is far superior It is easy to contact him via phone or email, and he quickly sends invoices for his work. He shows up on time and only charges for the time he has worked, for example if he has to leave for a part or something. Every project we have had him complete has come out quite well, and he has found some smart solutions to problems in our difficult home. I would not and will not hesitate to call on him many times in the future!
Description of Work: Our realtor suggested John when we moved in to our house 2.5 years ago. I truly don't know what we would have done without him. Over the past 2.5 years, he is my first call when we have a home project. He has done electrical (installing and unwiring things - not sure about the technical terms), minor plumbing, replaced our porch roof, fixed gutters, fixed floors, hung a door and installed a sill (and a seasoned locksmith commented on how well the door was hung, apparently it's a difficult skill to master) and numerous other projects I can't remember.
