Didnt show up when he was supposed to, too busy to do badic mowing of lawn. Hired for weekly service and wasnt able to do it. Let things go with no calks or apologies.

A couple of weeks ago our area in North Carolina was going to be facing rain for several days in a row. (as it turns out it was almost two weeks in a row!) Since if there is no rain you have to water, I decided I had better find someone who could come quickly to do the aeration, fertilization and weeding. I called Green Energy Lawn Care LLC first thing in the morning. My call was answered right away, and they were able to schedule their team that afternoon. They have two people with two aeration machines and two spreaders, which is why they could fit me in. They did a terrific job, I just needed to water that day and the next. Now it has been raining for 9 days in a row and the grass is really coming in great! Because of their responsiveness, I was able to get the work done before the rain and did not have to water myself. I will be using them in the future for my fertilization needs! Plus they use organic fertilizers so I don't have to expose my dog to chemicals on the lawn. It is extremely difficult to find anyone to do organic fertilization so this is great!

The estimate was done in person by the owner, Mik, who was very professional. The work was done on time. My flower beds had been neglected through the fall and looked great after it was done. The mulch was good quality and the guys cleaned up well after the job. Overall, very happy!!!

We've had them doing basic mowing and edging for a couple of years and have been pleased with the service. Love that they use environmentally friendly equipment and they do a nice job of keeping everything tidy. Highly recommend them.

After the representative came out to give me an estimate, I decided to go with them because they offered an environmentally responsible service at a comparable price to other green lawn care companies - and they are the only ones that allowed me to pick specific services for the lawn without having to sign a contract. I called them at 10:00 am on Friday morning, an hour after the representative left, to tell them I wanted to engage their services and see if I could get on the roster for the next week, but I got no answer. I left them a message, but didn't receive a return call. Since I had trouble getting in touch with them for the estimate in the first place (couldn't get an actual person to pick up the phone despite several attempts during business hours), I ultimately decided that I wasn't comfortable engaging a company that didn't seem to have anyone available to answer customer calls and didn't return calls when you leave a message to sign up. The whole point of getting someone to take care of my lawn was that I need help to make things easier during a difficult time, not something else to worry about, so I contacted my second choice at lunchtime on Monday and signed up with them instead so I could just get it taken care of. When the man from Green Energy got around to calling me mid-afternoon on Monday, I told him that I had signed up with someone else because they returned calls quickly, and he smarted off with "Well, I guess you showed me" and started arguing that his email says I called Friday at 4:45. I didn't appreciate the attitude or the condescending assumption that I was being unreasonable because his email system showed the wrong time. I am very grateful that I hired someone else!

Mik seems very knowledgeable, and he is helpful and accommodating. I like that he is energy conscious and environmentally friendly. My yard has small areas that need to be mowed, and he mows them with a push mower. His crew also reseeded areas in my yard missing grass, but they did miss a few areas initially. I asked Mik come back and take of this, and he was incredibly willing and respectful. He even took some money off of my bill. I will definitely have him back again in future.

We contacted Green Energy Lawn Care on Friday for an estimate for mowing our yard. We explained that, due to some health problems, our yard had not been mowed yet this season. We told him our property is .44 acres, but of course, the house is on part of that. He indicated that he would look up the tract using GPS and contact us with an estimate. He called on Saturday with an estimate of $85.00. We thought that was a little high, as previously, we'd been paying much less, but he also indicated that it might go down once he actually saw the lawn. Being desperate to have it done quickly, we agreed. He indicated that he would come on Monday to mow, saying that he would either arrive early in the morning or in late afternoon. When I arrived home from work Monday, my initial reaction was astonishment. The yard was not completely mowed, with several large areas left completely untouched. The areas that were mowed were uneven. No trimming had been done. Even the now empty trash can sat by the curb with tall grass poking out from around it, having never been moved. Minutes later, my husband called to ask if the person from Green Energy Lawn Care had come back to finish the job. I told him that the yard looked like a wreck and was not finished. He explained that the person had called him and said that there were some areas that were too wet to mow with his mower, and that he would come back later in the day to finish up. My husband had asked how to pay, and was told that we could either leave a check taped to the door or pay on line. The good news was that he had dropped the price to $55.00. By nightfall, he had not arrived, so my husband called him. He indicated that he had been swamped with other jobs but would return the following day, unless it rained, in which case he would come on Wednesday. My husband agreed, mentioning that once the work was completed, he would then pay online. Green Energy Lawn Care agreed. By Wednesday, Green Energy Lawn Care had not come to complete the mowing job, nor to do the trimming. They called my husband and informed him that they were just too busy with other jobs to return. However, they would not charge us for the work already performed. On 4/20/11, the person from Green Energy Lawn Care let us know that customer satisfaction is a priority for him and indicated plans to provide better service for us. He did just that. When we arrived home, our yard had been mowed again. It was mowed fully this time, and evenly. No trimming had been done, but the mowing was done and done well. I commend Green Energy Lawn Care for their commitment to customer satisfaction.

I met with Green Energy Lawn Care to discuss a potential job. He was extremely knowledgeable and honest. I was pleasantly surprised to find an Organic alternative with prices just about the same as conventional. If you are afraid of chemicals and how they affect children and pets this is a good alternative. Our HOA chose to go with a cheaper alternative that would provide additional resources to improve the grounds we have. Once the grounds have been improved I could see Green Energy Lawn doing the maintenance because I see the value in keeping harsh chemicals away from our children and pets.

After many years of using mediocre, unreliable lawn care services, I finally found Green Energy Lawn Care. They're awesome. In the summer my lawns always look great and in the fall and winter the leaves never pile up. Best part is that I'm paying about the same amount I was before ($110/monthly) for much better service, and I'm being good to the environment in the process. Highly recommended.

I like the fact that they are green and they are very responsive to what I want. They are very pleasant to work with.

This company is good about communicating online, which is a good time saver for me. Don't have any complaints about them. They always do an excellent job and are friendly.

I have been EXTREMELY happy with his work. He is reliable, thorough, has a good attention to detail, and uses environmentally friendly equipment and organic fertilizers and weed control (which is important to me). His rates are also competitive with other companies I have considered. I highly recommend him.
