Description of Work: We called Chapel Hill Plumbing because we had been unable to unclog our toilet despite repeated efforts to do so. They arrived (just a bit later than expected) and checked out the toilet only to find (and report to us) that it was working fine. They told us that drop in tablets and anything dropped into the toilet tank, tended to plug up the toilet drain and to stop using those tank tablets, which we will do. They tested the toilet extensively to ensure than it was, in fact, working fine and found that it was. They then really surprised me by staying they wouldn’t charge when they had done nothing! While I liked that they didn’t charge (which I thought was a first for a plumber) I also liked that they seemed completely professional, entirely competent and knowledgeable and operate with almost no advertising. they are an old company in Chapel Hill, NC and they have built a fine business on word of mouth. We were fortunate to find them via a booklet offered by the realtor who sold us this house, Susan Morris (919 215 5520). Susan, too, is a long time resident of Chapel Hill, and her booklet has correctly directed us to wonderful service folk in the past. Now she’s done it again with Chapel Hill Plumbing. We will add a reliable plumber of long standing local reputation to our list of excellence.
