We recently completed a kitchen renovation project with Cederberg that involved demolition and replacement of walk-in pantry and set of built-in wall cabinets. Cederberg designed and facilitated the construction of custom built-in wall cabinets and coordinated with the Appliance Center to ensure timely delivery and installation of our new refrigerator and dishwasher. The design process was straightforward. The team worked hard to find a reasonably priced cabinet manufacturer that could replicate our existing style and wood stain color. The resulting design was incredible in its form and function. Once the work began, the crew completed the demolition in one day. They immediately applied for and got the requisite permits, and kept us informed about what to expect. We are in awe of our beautiful kitchen. The cabinetry is flawless, the appliances look terrific and perform at the highest level of quality, and the team attended to every small detail with thoughtfulness and efficiency.

The entire crew did a thorough job, took the time to do things right, and paid attention to details. Especially in an old house, they took the time to carefully measure and fur everything to fit together well. We were very happy with the job overall.

The whole process was excellent. On his first visit, Bill asked two main questions. What do we like about our current bathroom. And, more importantly, what don't we like. In coming up with a design he and Dana came up with options would address how we could better use the space. It cost more than just replacing the existing tub, shower, and vanity. But it nearly doubled our usable space (removed the tub giving room for a usable vanity space). And, the tile, vanity, shower,and countertop look wonderful. Joe and his team of plumbers, electricians, tile installers, sheetrockers did very good work. They were all courteous and worked around us (though we also tried to stay out of the way).They were taking their time to do a good job (but, not being slow). It's worth taking a little extra time to do the job right. Updated 9/27 Just wanted to add photos to go with my review... The job went great and turned very nice. Moved Shower in place of old (unused) Jacuzzi tub. Rotated vanity 90 degrees to go from under 5 feet to more than 7. Plenty of room now. And, it looks great!

We found Bill Cederberg and his decorator Dana Herman, easy to talk to, patient, and not pushy. They had many samples and a range of products on display at the shop. Our three bathrooms were somewhat the worse for wear after 28 years of family comings and goings, and we really needed to see what was out there and zero in on what needed to be done. It took several meetings to hammer out and decide upon a basic plan. The cost was more than we had intended to spend, but we decided to go ahead, and we have not regretted it. We liked the quality of the materials and we felt comfortable working with Bill & Dana. Bill drew up a contract. After an initial payment for materials, we paid in increments as each portion of the job was completed. We made a few changes and they were handled in a timely manner. We have been very pleased with the workmanship. Cederberg seems to have a good team. The subcontractors impressed us as experienced and careful. We appreciate their hard work. Care was take to protect floors and furniture, and there is not even a paint spatter where it should not be. At the end of each day trash was cleared and everything was cleaned up. Our one complaint might be the time it took to get everything done, a little over five months. We realize that some of the delay was having to coordinate jobs that had to be done in a certain order, having to wait for inspections, etc. On the whole there was something going on 3 or 4 days a week. Fortunately we were able to remain in the house during this time by moving to different bedrooms when needed. At this point I would say that the job was done, done right, and having to deal with a little delay wasn't so bad.

We had a wonderful experience. This was our first remodel and we were a little nervous. However, we needn’t be as our kitchen renovation went amazingly well. They were professional, responsive, kind, and competent. We felt very comfortable having them in our home for 4 months. They did a full overhaul- from floor to ceiling. Our kitchen is AMAZING. Would highly recommend and would hire them again for any future renovations.

Cederberg performed a major remodeling job on our kitchen, master bedroom/bathroom, and powder room. The project involved relocating doors, walls, and appliances and required plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. All flooring was replaced and the remodeled area and additional portions of the house were re-painted. They worked with us to design the changes we wanted to make and allowed us to tweak various details of the project as it progressed. The project went very smoothly. Bill, Dana, and Joe were all great to work with, and the project was completed on schedule. The entire crew was a delight to work with. We received several compliments from our neighbors on how nice all of the workers were. While it was a construction site, they worked very hard to keep the house neat and clean. The quality of the work was outstanding by all of the workers. I highly recommend this company for minor or major remodeling work.

Workers were professional, arrived as scheduled, cleaned up after themselves and were able to fix unexpected problems. Best part, project came in on budget.

Bill Cederberg and his team gave us a quality master bath that we appreciate very much. Designer Lisa Principe was an excellent resource for helping us design and make choices for the project. Project manager Joe Redding was very professional and knowledgeable.

It took almost 3 months to get the work started from when the contract was signed. But once started, the work proceeded on schedule with no wait time and was finished in about two weeks.....and this was during and after Hurricane Florence, I might add.

The Cederberg staff and their contractors were always professional and courteous. They listened to us and were extremely responsive to our wishes. They often had ideas for how to achieve our wishes that were better than our own. Their work was high in quality. We will hire them again if we have similar needs in the future.

Very well. From the design phase to final inspections, all members of the team were very good at their craft and we could not be happier with our new bathroom! I would highly recommend Bill and his team to anyone who has a major renovation/remodel project that they want handled "end to end".

We could not be happier with our master bathroom renovation. Bill, Lisa, and the Cederberg team listened to our vision, made thoughtful suggestions, provided a design, and then executed to make our dream master bathroom a reality. The crew was respectful of our home throughout the process and thoroughly cleaned up each day. The quality of the materials and workmanship is what we expected and more- we were especially impressed with the team that performed the tiling! In contrast with horror stories we've heard about home renovations, our final cost was within $600 of the initial quote we agreed upon. The majority of the work was also completed within the quoted time frame, although a small issue with our mirror and window added almost an extra month. Communication was the only source of frustration throughout our bathroom renovation- the team rarely provided status updates unless we requested them. Otherwise, I highly recommend!

Bill Cederberg and crew do it right, first class all the way. Things always go wrong on a remodel job, and Bill really shines when that happens. You might find a cheaper contractor, but not a better one.

Every person on the staff was excellent. They were very professional and competent. I especially appreciated the way they protected the rest of my house from damage and cleaned the work area at the end of each day. I'm pleased with the outcome.

Working with all the employees and subcontractors of Cederberg cabinets was fantastic and I would use them for any remodel work. They were respectful of the home and keep the job site extreme clean and well organized. They listened to our needs and provided solutions and options that matched what we were looking for in a contractor.

Went well. Kitchen is beautiful. Nice attention to detail. Out of kitchen on October 2nd and back in week prior to Christmas. Someone answers the phone or email every time. 20% up front. The rest as the job progressed. It was a bit pricier than I expected but I didn't want hassles and I had heard that I wouldn't have any. This was true. Helpful in picking out parts and changing some things as they went along. I added a door in the middle, they sent a price and did it. The whole crew was very professional. The painter was the best painter I have ever had. The tile looks beautiful. They left me touch up paint for cabinets and walls. The lighting is nice. Bill doesn't mind sharing his opinions, which I liked. He told me when things just wouldn't work. We work all of the time and so it was nice that they did it all without needing hand holding. I don't think I really talked with anyone until week 6 bc I didn't need to. But when I needed it, they answered everytime. They moved all of my furniture and left the place really clean. Someone even cleaned my garage.

We decided to remodel our 25 year old master bath. We did this for ourselves to enjoy and especially wanted to update the look, make the room safer with better finishes, remove a platform whirlpool tub and add storage. We found Cederberg on Angies list. They did an excellent job. Workmanship of all the trades was perfect and they keep the area during construction clean and minimized inconveniences. They were helpful in getting thru the multiple selections we needed to make and offered solutions when we got stuck. I would highly recommend them for any remodel project.

We had our shabby kitchen replaced and opened up to the living room to make a beautiful and very functional space. Bill Cederberg listens and comes up with beautiful and well designed spaces. We liked his work so much that we hired him to build our entire office building (which everyone says "Wow!" when they see how nicely designed it is) Highly recommend them.

Bill was very knowledgeable about kitchen remodeling and provided some good insight. He was also punctual to arrive at our appointment. We did not use Bill because they cannot meet our project timeline due to other project commitments they already had. What I did not like is that they charged a fee for detailed estimate, which no other contractors that we contacted did. I can understand charging a fee for a design of kitchen remodeling and reconfiguration, but our project did not involve kitchen design.

I met with Bill Cederberg, the owner, after seeing favorable reviews on Angie's List. We had seen a house in Fearrington Village that was in very good shape for 1994, but we wanted a house that was more current and had an open floorplan. Over the course of a couple of meetings, we discussed ideas and it seemed that we would be compatible, and Bill agreed to act as the general contractor and oversee all the work. So my husband and I bought the house and began planning the changes. We closed on the house in May and signed our contract with Cederberg; Bill said that we would shoot for completion by Thanksgiving but would actually expect to be finished by Christmas. Throughout the spring we created and revised plans. Jennifer McLester had great ideas about the kitchen and bathrooms so we were able to settle on plans and materials without too much trouble. Work began in early summer and continued, just as predicted, until the end of the year. My husband and I continued to live in Maryland. We communicated by phone, text messages, email and site visits. We had a basic contract for the work that we knew we wanted done and, working collaboratively, added things as we went along. We are thrilled with our new house. Bill Cederberg had good ideas and the practical knowledge of what could and could not be done to translate my notions into reality. Joe Redding, who oversaw the project, is a stickler for detail and it shows. Jennifer McLester had great ideas for the kitchen and the bathrooms and was able to balance my old-fashioned ideas with her modern ideas. All the workers were diligent and friendly. The house is beautiful and functional, and the quality of the workmanship and materials is evident. The work went pretty smoothly, at least as far as we knew, thanks to Bill's staff and their commitment to quality and hard work. We felt very comfortable working long distance. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Bill Cederberg and his team did an excellent job of designing and executing a kitchen upgrade/remodel for our home. Bill is very knowledgable, experienced, and detail oriented and manages his team of designers and subcontractors very effectively and with great results. Bill and his team are very professional and worked hard to listen to us and accommodate our requests. Bill was also very helpful in working to "value engineer" our project--to make sure that money was spent where it would yield the most useful and attractive results. The team worked to minimize disruption and did an outstanding job of the final cleanup. Project details: Remodeled kitchen and pantry including additional new cherry and painted cabinetry to match existing and to accommodate new appliances including "repurposing" space from the living room and an under stair area. Installed new Thermador wall oven, microwave, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, freezer, and hood. Removed tile countertop and backsplash and replaced with granite and new backsplash tile. Installed new apron front sink, disposal, and faucet.

This was a major job that required carpenders, tile layers, plumbers, electricians, dry wall installers & finishers, and painters, not to say a major amount of planning. A critical aspect of this job is that we had a hard, 'drop-dead' finish by date in late Jan. We started by talking with Bill C. about what we wanted and he came up with some important ideas which maximized the use of our available space. We then moved on to work with them in making all the decisions such a job entails, type of tile, colors, counter-tops, cabinetry, fixtures, paint etc, as we proceeded with the demolition. Then the crews began coming in -- something like 2 dozen people worked on the project, overall, some for part of a day, others whom we got to know pretty well as they came and went. The project manager, Joe Redding, did a masterful job of juggling, and made sure the job was finished on time and on budget. It was a job done very well, that was concluded without major squabbles, and we were very happy with the outcome.

They listen, they do great work and they care. We are not experts in home design but Bill Cederberg talked to us, found out what we wanted, and drew up beautiful plans that incorporated our ideas with his experience about what works and what doesn't.. As the job progressed and we had some additional ideas he was always willing to help us find the best options for working these into the project. One of the joys of working with this company is the responsiveness, professionalism and caring of Bill, his office staff and work crew. Against the advice of others, we had decided to remain in our home during this renovation that lasted for appoximately16 months. Frankly we survived just fine thanks to the accommodations made by Bill and job foreman Joe Redding who's concern for our comfort was always an integral part of his day-to-day project planning. Joe communicated extensively with us and kept us informed about upcoming projects, any activity that might affect our living arrangements, or any delays in the projects. The work crews arrived on time, were excellent craftsmen and were very courteous. Bill was great about estimating costs and always provided excellent insight about the advantages and disadvantages of the various materials and components we chose to use. In the end we have a newly renovated home that greatly surpasses our initial expectations in terms of beauty and function. We are extremely pleased with this company.

Could not be happier with the work performed by Cederberg. Complete perfection down to every last detail. At times I thought I wanted some aspects of the job one way, but was provided with excellent recommendations on doing it another way and they were 100% correct. I also feel that I am a good judge of quality craftsmanship since my father was a well know builder in another state. So having the knowledge that I have I know excellent work. Cederberg did an outstanding job. So much so that I am considering them for a future project. And the staff at Cederberg were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in the design phase as well as keeping me informed at all times. Went to work every day and left my home open for contractors every day with complete trust. They lived up to that and often came home to them washing my floors! Love Cederberg!

The staff at Cederberg Kitchens and Additions is experienced and great to work with. They were very patient in making sure that the kitchen layout was exactly what we wanted, preparing detailed drawings and a written contract. Once the project started they were great at coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing every aspect of our kitchen renovation and keeping us informed along the way. They were careful to clean up at the end of the day and put up plastic barriers to keep the dust down. All the subcontractors they used were excellent. The final renovation exceeded our expectations.
