Badly. Don is hard to schedule and will make changes at the last minute. I hired him first to run two new 60 amp circuits. After the two jobs were complete, I discovered both circuits did not have the ground wire connected to the ground bar at the panel, and was left disconnected in an unsafe manner. I asked him to return and finish connecting the circuit, and he insulted me, saying I could hook it up myself and that I was being "passive aggressive". Without a completed ground connection, my electric vehicle charging station (Tesla brand) would not function, as it requires a functioning ground. Don was late for my second appointment. When he installed my second electric vehicle charger, he complained when he arrived that it was different than the first one. I had told him this and given him the make and models of both charging stations a month ahead of time, confirmed by in-person conversation. Don did not carry basic electrical supplies in his truck, such as short (2' conduit), and when he arrived for the second install he sent me to Lowe's to purchase the parts for him. First he was very upset that the charger was a different model (which we had already discussed ahead of time!), and then said he couldn't do it and didn't offer any options or paths forward. I finally bought the parts at Lowe's, and they spent only about 15 minutes installing the equipment. The visit cost 3X more than he quoted ($300 vs $100), because of the time wasted while I went to Lowe's to get $5 worth of parts. The equipment didn't function when they finished because of the incomplete ground on his previously installed circuit. Don could not diagnose a basic electrical problem, and it fell to me to open the main panel later and inspect the wiring until I found the problem. He then literally yelled at me on the phone and told me not to call him again when I sent him a picture of the unconnected ground wires and asked him to complete the installation.

Response from BRICKMAN ELECTRIC
There is a lot of decrepitates in this review. I do my best to please all my customers. I know the ground wire was connected. It had to be to pass inspection which it did. The only rejection on the inspection was the wire in the eve of the attic wasn't strapped. I ran wire rated @ 60 amps so I put it on a 60 amp breaker. The charger has internal overload protection. The inspector wanted a 50 amp breaker installed. I ran it in the eve where it is impossible to reach, so it was pulled tight and strapped at the ends. I do know the run was about 65 feet in the attic. I also had to rewire an AC unit if I remember because it was the wrong size wire. This was added after the job was started and not included in the original bid. I have been on Angies list for over 35 years. The problem Angie's pushes contractors to pay and upgrade their service, paying for advertisement. There is a tendency, in my opinion, to give more favorable service to contractors that upgrade and pay for the service. I never raised my voice to any customer and always try to please them. As for all the complaints from Tom, this is the first I heard about it. Again it wouldn't have passed inspection if it wasn't done according to NEC. Because I was a critical of Angie's policies. Angie sold her business a few years ago. As far as the licence and insurance you can't get permits if you are not license and insured.
