Description of Work: Set up a 2 zone receiver, connected all our speakers and set up a universal controller. Very professional and explained everything that was being done and how to work everything. Had to send an email a month later because I forgot how to do a couple of things with the controller and they responded almost immediately. A job well done and would most definitely use again.

Description of Work: Rich helped us create a wonderful system in our newly built home. He helped us during the construction phase to ensure we had all necessary wiring in place. He "smart wired" the house so all systems go to one central location. He acquired and installed 2 fabulous new TV's at a very fair price (competitive with big box stores). He followed up and has continued to provide us with support on our new system. The Sonos products we purchased from him are simply fantastic. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

+ 0 moreIt has been a delight working with Rich on the audio, video and data systems for our house. Rich is extremely knowledgeable both on traditional audio and video technology as well as on integrating the latest high tech advances into a system. I was very impressed with how patient he was in educating me about the design for our systems and answering all our questions. We have been extremely happy with our systems. They have really brought our house to life and ndash; Mozart in the background while entertaining guests and upbeat music motivating us while cooking in the kitchen. Rich put a lot of effort into putting together a great entertainment center that matched our budget. He was helpful in telling us what upgrades would be good value and which wouldn't, so we feel like we got great value in the price of our systems. Rich also took the time to train us on using the systems, and we have found them easy enough to use that guests visiting us have no trouble using the systems. Most importantly, Rich put a lot of thought and care into designing our systems. As an example, our entertainment center is not ideal for A/V equipment as it had poor ventilation. Rich designed and installed a temperature controlled ventilation system that is inaudible, allowed us to keep the A/V equipment cool and therefore allowed us to keep the entertainment center. We have been very pleased with our experience with Audio Video One of Chapel Hill.
Description of Work: Designed and installed family room entertainment center which integrated existing TV and video game components into new system and is controlled by custom programmed remote. Wired and installed ceiling surround speakers. Designed and installed in-ceiling audio systems around the house. Designed and installed wired and wireless networking system for entire house.

+ 0 moreRich listened carefully to my needs and walked me through a couple of options and a recommendation for a High Definition TV, receiver, Blu-ray DVD/CD player, surround sound woofer and speakers, and universal remote (boy does that make it easy). He invested his time in providing lots of general education for me regarding the differences among LED, LCD, Plasma TVs, acoustic considerations and more. He shared photos of the items and specs. I respected his rationale for his recommended item in each case. He also invited me to test drive our agreed upon system at an independent facility. We took our time purchasing - even waiting a few extra weeks at the transition of the new model year to ensure I had the best and updated options for the TV. Rich ensured that I could operate the customized remote with good "training" and has been readily available for any follow up questions I've had. There have been no maintenance issues. I am so glad I made this investment and am amazed at how much entertainment value I now enjoy.
Description of Work: Rich Dlesk at Audio Video One installed an excellent home entertainment system for me this spring. His forte is in selecting the components based on individual needs and budgets, procuring the items and installing them. He does not provide a shopping list for customers to do on their own nor merely hook up components. The price included lots of education which reassured me that he really knows his stuff and enjoys providing customers with a good experience. He removed all the pain and confusion from something that could otherwise be overwhelming.
