Allen Styron Construction

Allen Styron was referred to us as a reputable builder by local community sources. He was not listed in the yellow pages of telephone directory. We contacted Mr. Styron in January 2007 regarding an estimate to build our home. A contract and period of time for completion was negotiated. We really liked the fact that Mr. Styron didn't engage in building several homes at same time (like a subdivision contractor). As our project was approximately 60% near completion, he agreed to begin someone else's home in the same vicinity as ours. We really liked that he didn't have too many projects going on at one time and was able to devote the necessary time needed to do a good job. And we might add, he turned down several opportunities from others, who wanted a job done immediately. Mr. Styron and his staff of (2) additional personnel were extremely professional. We found him to be very meticulous about his work and expectations of other workers. He was very honest and forthright in discussing pros and cons of concerns and any anticipated additional costs for add-ons. Mr. Styron is very conscientious about use of time. We gave him and his staff the resources and lattitude to do a good job and were never disappointment. The job was completed within the agreed upon time schedule. We had neighbors who commented that Mr. Styron and staff didn't "goof off " while on the job site. We know our home is well built and feel secure that it can endure at least a Category 2 hurricane or storm. We would definitely hire Mr. Styron to build any additions to our current home and recommend him highly to others.
