Great guys. Honest, sincere. Complicated job, maybe too complicated for them. Will use them for follow-ups but suggest using them for simpler installations.

I needed to get my house wired with Ethernet lines and the original cable lines to two bedrooms were not working. I had eight cat-6 lines run throughout the house. I had two installed in the first floor (one on each side of the house), two installed in the living room (one on each side of the house), one installed from the FIOS ONT, and one installed in each of the three bedrooms on the third floor. Two cable outlets on the third floor were originally installed improperly. I didn't attempt to use those lines for the first couple years and didn't realize they were non-functional until it was past the builder's warranty. I had both rooms wired with new RG-6 cable. I also had an RG-6 cable run from outside to the utility room. All cables were home run to the utility room. A patch panel was installed. All of the lines were labeled on the installed jacks along with the corresponding jack on the patch panel. I checked all of the lines once the install was completed and all of the lines are working. The install took two days. All lines were run and all the holes in the walls that were necessary to run the wires were patched very well. I plan on painting the entire interior of my home so didn't have them paint although that service was available. The install was professional, they were on time, and they cleaned the areas when they were complete. I was extremely pleased with the installation and all of my interactions with company personnel. I would not hesitate to use them again if I need home wiring or AV services. I would recommend them to anyone looking for similar services.

It was truly a pleasure working with Bonnie, Lew, and their team. From arranging of the initial consultation to the install, I found the experience extremely positive. Bonnie was extremely easy to work with and demonstrated great flexibility when I had some issues getting the DirecTV install completed prior to the scheduled work date. Lew was great and patient, walking me (a novice) through the technology options. In the end, I feel like we got the right configuration for our needs and budget. I would definitely recommend Home Network Solutions to anyone.

I am very pleased with the outcome of this work. The crew did an excellent job of working in an awkward environment (my attic) and determined the best way to get the cables to the required location. Contacted Lew and Bonnie in late November to obtain service for a computer network installation, phone lines and cable TV system. Bonnie arranged for Lew to come out and give me an estimate. After providing the estimate Lew and his team came out a week later and complete the installation. They were professional, polite, quick and very responsive. I will have them complete all future work of this type for me.

Estimate service was professional and thorough. The estimate was received and it had everything on it that was to be performed. The crew came in and did all of the things that were supposed to be done. One thing to be aware of as you go through the estimate process is that the crew uses that as thier instructions on what is supposed to be done, so be sure you know what you want and discuss it with Lew (Owner) before the crew shows up so that it ends up on the estimate. I will hire them again for my next project with enthusiasm and I highly recommend them to all AL members.

Superb service every time. Expert work, nice people, not only install, but make you understand they system (may be the hardest part). We have been working with Lew through several visits as we fine tune what we want. We had some router problems, and then a bad cable problem, and Lew was right out to fix it. When there is a problem he can talk you through over the phone, he will do it..at no charge. For those of us electronically challenged, that is a big help. At times, I want to go back to a console tv with rabbit ears....but with Lew, I know I won't need to. Superb\ always.

Lew was extremely professional and friendly in all my interactions. Due to my location in DC, keeping precise appointment times is often a challenge around rush hour, but I was notified of any delays in arrival. Lew created an effective wiring plan for my 1950-era house and executed it with a minimum of mess. He installed a central network box, which made my DirecTV install a breeze. All cables are clearly labelled for any future expansion of my tv/phone/ethernet networks. I am strongly considering them for my future home theater install.

Lew and his team did a fantastic job with our outdoor speakers installation. The sound is excellent. They met our tight deadline and were very professional as always. Excellent customer service from the initial contact to follow-up by Bonnie afterwards. We highly recommend them to anyone needing home theater services.

The work was performed at or above expectations. Do allow time for HNS to do the proper job as much of the work is technical. Each job has it's own characteristics. Don't be afraid to ask question or request a tutorial for new equipment. HNS will spend the amount of time needed for the customer to be familiar with the equipment installed or reworked.

A very nice man from Home Network Solutions came to my house to take a look at installing a cable drop in our basement. He spent about a half hour looking into the situation. He seemed very knowledgeable and skilled, and I had high hopes. At the end of his visit, he said the work would take about two hours to do, but he needed to go home and write me a formal estimate. That was nearly a week and a half ago; I have never received the estimate. I am so tired of Angie List contractors doing this! While I realize my job is not big (it is quite small!), but please don't promise that you'll get in touch when you won't. It's just being polite is all! But now, I feel let down and still in need of a cable drop!

My experience with Lew and Bonnie at Home Network Solutions was top notch from start to finish. They responded to my initial email inquiry about a price quote the same day. On on-site visit was schedule within the week and I had a written estimate for the work the next day. The job I hired them for was extremely small ? just installing a pair of in-ceiling speakers for the rear channels of a surround sound system in my living room. Lew was unfailingly courteous, the work was completed amazingly quickly and he cleaned up after himself like it was his own house. The drywall contractor they use to repair the few holes and patches left by the installation (also done the same day as the install, which is a huge help when you have to take vacation time for stuff like this) was also prompt, courteous and amazingly good at his job. I would without hesitation use Home Network Solutions again and recommend them to other members of the List.

Great. Bonnie who handles the scheduling contacted me right after I inquired through Angies' List and arranged for Lew and Danny to come out and do a site inspection in a couple of days. They were on time and spent about an hour looking things over, asking questions and making recommendations. They came up with some good cost-effective solutions and recommendations for equipment. I received a quote a few days later. I communicated some changes and questions to Bonnie (size of TV, Internet-ready bluray) and Lew responded with his recommendations and a revised quote the next day. It took about a week to order the TV and components. Lew and Danny showed up on-time to do the installation. It took about 3.5 hours. My wife had some changes (e.g., please mount the speakers this way, etc.). They accommodated her and told her the plusses and minuses of making the changes. They left the place in good shape..no mess. Everything works great. I received an Angies' List discount. What more could you ask for?

The installation went well, and the results look great. Lew was very professional, very friendly, and knowledgeable about technology. We chose HNS because they had the best ideas and the most comprehensive plan of all the companies we spoke to, and they did not disappoint on that front. They were more expensive than the others, but we thought they were worth the extra cost. We had two hiccups: the power strip for the A/V equipment was initially plugged into a switch-controlled outlet, and there was a billing error that took me a bit by surprise. To their credit, Bonnie and Lew acted quickly to remedy both situations, and we are satisfied with how the project turned out. We would hire them again.

Lew and his team arrived on time, he was professional, courteous and patient. He continued to answer any questions and kept me informed around the entire job. He finished 2 hours earlier, checked everything, and left me with a smile. The work was more than I could imagine. Another treat - they forgot to include the Angie's list discount and today - in my mail was a check for the difference and a nice note of thanks. Home Network Solutions was by far the most professional and least expensive of the contractors we interviewed. Lew is a pleasure to deal with, he is very knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. I am a perfectionist, and Lew exceeded my expectations. While other contractors proposed up to 30 cuts in our walls to run the home networking, which was very extensive. Lew accomplished this task with just 2. I was amazed at his work. And we have not had a single issue with anything. I have no reason to look any further for any audio/video/home networking than Home Network Solutions.

They were punctual and helpful. I haven't got my estimate, yet, that, depends on whether I am going to use them or not. I give them high ratings from what I've seen so far.

Showed up on time for estimate, did a great job consulting and helping me firm up my plans. Was very flexible in working with me to modify the plans when I decided to change from large LDC TV to projector and screen -- also to install a completely different set of audio and video components than originally specified. Came to my house on time, completed the work flawlessly as promised.

They did an excellent job--it was high quality and they were clean and professional. It's a little high priced: I might have done it myself in half a day--but it seemed like a reasonable price compared to others and at least it was done well.

Prompt response to our initial inquiry, assessment, and scheduling work. Two days on site: one was 3/4 day, and the second 1/4 day. Prompt, courteous, helpful responses to our follow-up calls and emails. We never felt rushed. Explained everything, gave us options, and walked us thru the process. Home networks installed 7 cat 5 hookups, 7 cable hookups, thermostat wire, and a network switch. All wiring was home ran to a central panel in the basement and then installed using the basement or attic access to reach the family room and multiple bedrooms on the second level. The job required installing several hookups by accessing the attic and drilling holes from the attic into bedroom walls and then installing the hookups in the bedrooms. The job took an entire day. No issues. Everything worked as expected when Verizon performed the FIOS hookup. Job well done!

I had HNS to my home in November to get my home theater system working again. At the time Lew told me that I could use AppleTV to to view baseball games so I gave one to my husband for Christmas. I have an older Sony HDTV and called Sony to ask them what cables I needed to connect the two. Sony said there is no support for this platform. Fortunately Lew and Danny had the solution and now I have another way to watch TV. These guys know what they are doing and they are so pleasant and helpful.
