We had a very large picture window and 4 bedroom windows replaced. I called for a quote and received that quote that evening. Installation crew were very considerate of our new carpet and cleaned as they worked.They also repaired some loose roof tiles for us. I would definitely reccomend this company!

I can’t say enough about the flawless experience I had dealing with Harts Roofing & Windows. Derek Harts was prompt, courteous, and informative when he came to give a detailed estimate and describe his Simonton windows. After my decision was made, the windows were promptly ordered and delivered within two weeks. His installation father-son team, John and Anthony, arrived on time on a very hot Southport day and had 16 old windows removed and the new ones set in place by 9:30 AM so the house remained cool. Their experience and work ethic was evident throughout the installation process. Installation was completed by the afternoon with no mess, no fuss, and complete attention to detail. I am so very pleased with the quality of the windows and the incredible job by Anthony and John. I highly recommend Derek Hart’s and his company.

Great responsiveness. Derek was precisely on time when asked to give estimates. He was quick and thorough. Most important, he never promised more than he could deliver. He told us exactly how long it would take to manufacture our windows and when we could expect installation. The installations went very smoothly, thanks to his excellent installation crew who were prompt, professional and cleaned up well after the work. We will certainly use Harts Roofing and Windows for future projects.

Derek Hart is a very knowledgeable and conscientious businessman. The expertise he shared with us exceeded that which two other National Window company reps had. He sold us a very high quality product - Simonton Storm Buster replacement windows - at a competitive price. His installers, Anthony and John are excellent craftsmen and have been Hart's team for over 15 years. Like Mr. Hart, they are very conscientious. They were meticulous in their carpentry and also worked hard to keep dirt and sawdust out of our house. Both Mr Hart and his installers worked in a timely manner. Once the work was complete, his painter came over the very next day and painted all the inside trim with a matching paint. Harts replaced all the windows in our main house and we are now looking at having the sun porch done. Just a first class operation all the way!!!

Derek Hart was punctual from the first consultation to the end of the project. His installation team was the best… went beyond what was required and performed an excellent job! Removed and replaced all the windows in the house. Added wood framing where necessary to accommodate new windows. Flashed outside to trim them all out. Looks fantastic! Pricing was very reasonable and the end result is exceptional! I would hire them again!

Excellent! Work was done in a timely manner and both window and roof teams were very professional. We had about 5 estimates and chose Derek because he seemed to be so honest. He went over and beyond to make sure we were pleased.

Everything went great. He was there when he said he would be and the subcontractors were great. They were polite and worked very hard. The job was accomplished fast and looked great. I can say nothing bad about Mr. Hart and his crew. They deserve all of the praise that I can give them and more. We are very pleased with the great work.

Everything went very well. Derek's installers installed the windows, matched the replaced trim with metal trim and it matches perfectly. His installers left the house cleaner than they found it.

many homeowners have experienced bad repairs by supposedly professional tradesmen. when repairs are done correctly, credit should be acknowledge. this review is about one such company. Harts Windows & siding out of Castle Haynes, N.C. every member of this crew were courteous and respectful towards my wife and I. just to say the roof looks great is not enough. some particulars need to be mentioned. my wife has a botanical garden with many expensive and rare plants surrounding the house. when Harts crew set up to start the roof every effort was made from start to finish to protect the vegetation. Harts company laid tarps using extreme care as not to harm them. now on to the roof...there is one person designated to pick up all of the debris and he did this constantly, every tiny piece. Harts crew does not use air-nail guns to secure the shingles but every nail was driven in the correct manner in the correct position by using only hand and hammer. every potential leak area was reinforced. most days the crew worked , the heat index was well over 100*. with my limited knowledge of roofing it was pure pleasure to observe this crews work habits. not one short cut was made. it's been 2 weeks now and still impressed with this crew. any and all questions were answered with the utmost respect and courtesy. in my opinion this crew is a direct reflection of this companies owner, Derek Hart, he displays zero tolerance for less than perfect performance. we are very happy to have made the decision to hire Harts Roofing after reading many reviews on Angie's List. also, prior to the job Mr. Hart came to our house to give the estimate and explained every sequence of the job and description of the top grade materials he only uses for longevity. we highly recommend Harts Roofing Company of Castle Hayne NC.

Harts Roofing did an excellent job on our roof. They were always on time and the crew was hard working and friendly. Our neighbors were all impressed with the quality of the workmanship. The work was done right the first time; we've had some intense wind and rain since, and our new roof has had no problems at all. Derek also worked with us on the financing when no one else would. This company provided a high quality product at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The crew arrived on the date announced and completed the work earlier than forecast.

Very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of work. I cannot comment on the price because I have nothing to compare it to. I feel like we may have paid a bit more than we could have with another contractor, but hopefully the quality of what we received offsets that. We have no complaints - Derek was extremely responsive and his guys did a great job and we felt very comfortable having them working in and around our home.

He showed up as scheduled to take measurements to provide an estimate on a new roof for our house. Over 4 weeks have passed and we have not received an estimate or even heard from him again. He will not respond to messages through Angie's List either.

The work went extremely well. Dereck Harts is a rarity in the world of contractors. We only wish that we had more projects to do, but alas... Dereck returned phone calls within no more than a couple of hours. We had him on-site the day after we first called him. He said what he would do, and did what he said. His works crews are top-notch, polite and informative, punctual, and thorough. All through the projects, Derek would call to make sure we were happy and satisfied with the work, and he came by after all work was done to do final inspection, clean-up, and to answer any other questions. All this, and he's based at a 4-hour round trip to us. The prices for the projects were well beyond what others had quoted (IF they even bothered to submit a quote), but we went with Dereck based on his confidence, honesty, and that all-important first impression. It paid off with our knowing that it was top-quality work. We've even gotten compliments on how good the new roof looks. As I said, Dereck is a rarity for around here, and we are sooo glad we found him. With other contractors, we were lucky if we even heard back from them.

Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone that needs work done. The owner of the company understood we had a low budget but a lot of work to be done. They did everything that needed to be done and came in under budget. Thank you so much for your help

after contacting Harts roofing owner on Friday he was over next day explaining quote and all work that would be done.. roofing crew started work on the following Monday and was completed on Tuesday. then the carpentry crew was over 2 days later to install new facing around house and completed all work the same day. my ratings are as follows: company and owner: AAA+ extremely professional and courteous. a very nice experience for me as a customer. (best i have had with contractors) roofing crew: AAA+ friendly / efficient / very professional / on time / cleaned up any debris carpentry crew: AAA+ friendly / efficient / very professional / on time / cleaned up any debris after each job was completed harts owner was over to verify all work was done and that i was satisfied with work. i would highly recommend this company for any work that needs to be done on your home. as with all companies you get what you pay for and i received more than i expected.

Mr. Hart responded directly to my message on the same day I called him. I shopped around and found a price that was slightly cheaper, but they couldn't install for 8-12 weeks! Mr. Hart told me he could be done 2-3 and was true to his word. He and his team did excellent work and I would have no reservations with hiring him again for anything.

It was the best experience we have had with a contractor. Mr. Harts crew of Anthony and John were always on time and very professional. They were working with a plan, never waisted anytime. The results exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Harts for any roofing windows, doors or siding. Great customer service and responsive. Anthony and John always left the job site clean and in order. Great job.

Derek responded within five minutes. FIVE minutes! He was here in an hour, and looked at the problem in our wall. He then sent his installers here that installed our windows a year ago. They were here in two days (it was not a large water problem...) and they recaulked the windows, and then found the real source of the water. It was a space in my back door letting the water in. They were nice enough to fix that, even though they didn't install the door. Hopefully, this fixes the problem. Both Derek and his guys go way above and beyond anything you would expect out of a contractor. I would hire them again and again and again!

Did not get the service since he said he was too busy

Mr. Hart and his crew arrived ready to work. The old roofing shingle and felt was removed. All rotted wood was replaced. Rubber matting was placed on all valleys, pipe bases, skylight sides, etc. Titanium underlayment and Owens Corning Architectural Durations shingles were installed. Hand driven nails no nail gun. New lead pipe boots. Eight new Velux skylights installed. New facia wood. Removed old chimney siding. Installed new vinyl siding on chimney, corners and frame. New chimney cap. Wrap facia wood with pvc. SIde window shingle was finished off with a copper trim. Every part of this job was done with a great team of workers. Mr. Hart and his crew were outstanding. They answered any questions and worked hard. When Mr. Hart wasn't there he had a very qualified person in charge. We are so happy with the work performed and the finished job.

Final installation is great. All people were very professional and courteous and very efficient.
