Wonderful, professional, quality service. I received several quotes and estimates for a whole home exterior painting job that included replacing several areas of wood rot and cedar siding repair. I ranked the companies based on the consultation alone, before looking at the estimates. Mr. Hernandez was thorough with the consultation - being very open and clear on the work he would recommend and how the work would be done. H&H was at the top of my list based on the consultation. So I was surprised when H&H was also an incredibly fair price for the work. The crew showed up every day they said they would and was always on time. They put in long hours each day and cleaned up each day. In the end, I am thrilled with the work H&H did - all around - quality of the job, price, communication, timeliness, professionalism. No more quotes for me - H&H has earned the first call for any of my future needs. Thank you!

Alvaro and his team were extremely responsive and worked with us every step of the way to make sure the work was defined properly and completed as agreed. We had a very tight timeline to get the work completed before our first guests would be moving in, H&H provided guidance through each step and met all delivery commitments. They did an excellent job in all respects. The prep work was very thorough with extensive caulking of all joints, windows and doors. The trim edges were very clean. The cedar shingle siding and all the trim was painted by brush with no spray painting.

The team showed up on time and they were able to get everything done that I needed. The owner/manager stopped by as well to make sure everything was going well. I was able to get a quote for painting other rooms as well. I will definitely use them in the future.

First class treatment from start to finish. Everything was finished AHEAD of schedule to our complete satisfaction. They came by to check the job and touched up a couple of small spots. Told us if there was anything that needed work, even months later, to just call. They are good people, will have them back to take care of the inside soon.

Very professional, it was a little hard to schedule it because they are busy but once it was on the books they did a great job. They assigned two painters to do the room and the work came out very nicely done.

I joined Angie's List (AL) having been stood up by several different contractors to see if I could have better luck. I was in the market to have all of the above items completed, and was on a really tight timeline. I joined Angie's list on Monday 19Jan2015 and had an open house scheduled the coming weekend on 24Jan2015. I was looking through all the companies on AL writing down all the different companies I would have to contact to get all of these things done, when I noticed that H and H actually did all of the things I needed done. I contacted them on Monday afternoon and Alvarro called me within a couple hours. I explained the situation to him and that I would need to have everything completed by the weekend for the open house. He scheduled an appointment for 8am the next morning to give me a free estimate. He showed up on time for the estimate and gave me a very fair price to complete the task. He told me the best paint to get for my needs and gave me permission to purchase the supplies at HomeDepot with their contractor's discount. He picked paint that was not outrageous, but also of really good quality. On 21Jan2015, they completed all tasks except the painting of the trim and doors, as this was not in the original bid. They did such a good job painting, we wanted to get the trim and doors painted in those rooms. Alvarro agreed to come back the next day and complete this as well. I can't speak highly enough of Alvarro, and his professionalism. He was prompt, fairly priced, very courteous and very attentive to the needs of our unique situation. I would highly recommend H and H, and have already referred them to a couple friends and family members.

Overall, they did a good job. Alvaro was particularly attentive and responsive to any and all questions I had, even when it involved a problem with the work being done - of which there was really only one (problem). The crew always arrived on time, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The overall quality of the work they did was quite good, including all the prep work. Prior to the start of the job, we agreed on the brand and quality of paint and solid stain that would be used, and on the number of coats that would be applied. At times, there were a few communication difficulties because most (or all) of his crew is Spanish speaking. Most, though, could understand sufficient English for all of us to make our needs known to each other, and there was always (at least) one crew member with reasonably good English speaking capabilities. (I, on the other hand, would have a REAL problem if I were in Mexico or S. America working for a family who understood no English. They would have to haul in a translator for me.) In any case, Alvaro was almost always available by phone, and was very responsive to any questions I had about the work that was being done. During the course of the job, which ended up being spread out over a number of weeks, a few additional paint jobs were added, as I was having other interior work done at the same time. Alvaro even arranged - at the last minute - to have a few of his crew come in on a Sunday to paint some trim in a room where the floors had been refinished the prior week, so that we could bring our furniture back into the room on Monday. I could not have asked for more. There was one problem that developed (or, actually, was discovered) after completion of the work. During the prep work, the crew, who apparently was not familiar with casement windows, caulked around all the edges of the "swing" portion of the casements, essentially sealing them shut. (To their credit, they did a superior job of sealing those windows closed.) When this was discovered several days after they had finished painting, I called Alvaro to tell him. I think it was the very next day that he sent several people over to cut through the caulking ... and this is where the one problem occurred. In cutting through the caulking on several of the windows, they actually cut through the weather stripping that is built into the windows. Alvaro came back a day or so later to look at the issue ... we agreed that the weather stripping would have to be replaced on the affected windows, and it seems that it will be an easy enough job to do. But I did not want to take a chance that some other unanticipated problem come up which could delay the completion of the replacement of the weather stripping in the middle of the job just as the weather was getting cold. I knew that as long as the windows stayed closed, there would be no cold air leaking through the casement edges and the existing weather stripping would hold. So, it was my decision to wait until the weather begins to warm up, at which time Alvaro will be contacted ... I am confident that we will correct the problem at that time.

I had originally hired another contractor to paint the home with a referred "subcontractor" to repair rotting trim and exterior siding. The entire project turned into a mess. We cut our losses to the tune of $1,500 which really hurt but we realized we had simply hired the wrong people for the job. H & H Painting and Remodeling had been one of the bidders for the job and we foolishly went with the other people due to timing. My wife called Alvaro back after the ill fated start. He came over immediately and helped us surmise the damage. Alvaro was really awesome about going behind another contractor. It cost us some money as his people had to correct items and provide additional repair to items which were repaired originally and had to be re-performed. H & H jumped on the job at the promised date and time. Alvaro stopped by regularly to check on the project. He introduced the crew to us at the beginning of the project. They were never late and called when the weather was uncooperative. The crew was absolutely great and totally professional. I cannot say enough about Alvaro and his people. They helped us select paint, conferred with us about the best approach to repairs and offered additional help with some items outside of the bid. Our house shines now. I would certainly hire H & H again, as well as recommend the company to other folks.

Overall, the work was fine. The crew was on time and did the work reasonably well. The house looks good. But I do have two issues. In the process of power washing the house, the crew killed the grass in a number of spots with bleach spills. Secondly, communication was sometimes a problem as most of the crew did not speak much English. I mostly communicated with the boss on the phone who was not always around. But even with those limitations, I would probably use the service again.

I had recently had 15 wooden windows replaced in our house. As I was having last three windows replaced in a part of the house where the outer walls had Cedar siding, wood rot was discovered under the old windows. The window installer did not want to work on the problem. I contacted H&H for having the problem with wood under the window fixed. While having the wood rot fixed I figured I might as well have siding replaced. since when old Cedar siding is removed to find the extent of wood rot, it will render the cedar siding useless anyway. H&H gave me estimate for the siding replacement with the clause that additional cost will be determined only after the old siding is removed to discover the water damage. The manager and all his crew members worked hard and were always polite and professional. Although I had expected the project cost a bit less but I was so impressed by their work ethics and quality that I did not mind the price. In fact I extended the scope of the original work to include painting of boxing under the gutters all around the house. I plan to use this contractor again.

H&H painting power washed the house,caulked all needed areas ( and there were a bunch of them) rebuilt /replaced rotten wood, sanded, primed and put 2 coats of top quaility paint on our house. Alvaro was punctual and readily returned calls and answered questions. He took the time to explain to my wife what he was going to do and responded to her questions and took care of any concerns we had about certian aspects of the job. he was very patient with us about our color choices.He kept us informed about where we were The crew was polite, very professional and left the place each day in a neat and orderly fashion. I highly reccomend these folks to anyone!!!

I would recommend H and H Painting for your painting needs. I have no complaints about the service and would definitely use them again.

18 months ago H&H painted our trim and stained our decks. Already there is extensive peeling to the deck railings and the staining on deck is worn away on 70% of the boards. I requested that he come back and fix these items, he initially agreed and now the owner has been rude, threatening, and now refuses to do the work. I would not recommend them for any work on your home.

Contractor contacted me immediately after my Angies list purchase. We arranged a time to meet for him to measure and see the scopr of the work. He met me on time. While looking through the condo he assisted with my planning and made helpful suggestions. He had a contract ready for me the next day. We decided on a start date and he began on time and finished all work on schedule. He also made some additional repairs of hidden damage behind the wall paper. I was very happy with both the work and the professionalism of H&H painting. I was happy to learn that in addition to painting they could also perform general remodeling. I contracted them to replace the carpets in the condo in preparation for sale. H&H did a great job with this as well. I have already gotten estimates to remove wallpaper and paint in my personal home and to repair some leaking skylights. I am thankful that I found such a reliable contractor.

It went well, but I think they were overwhelmed with the many responses they received from the special. The owner seemed resentful of the special they "had" to run. He also seemed frustrated explaining the deal was only for 1 painter for 8 hours or 2 painters for 4 hours.

The painters were very nice and respectful in my home. It took about 4 days to complete the work since we had to factor in the weather. The owner was very professional. Overall, I was satisfied with the work they did.
