Tom met with us and after consulting with one of his experts, he explained our options and presented a proposal. We took a couple of weeks to consider his plan and then agreed to proceed. There was no pressure applied by Tom during this time. At all times, his crew was hardworking and efficient. They took before and after pictures so we had a chance to see, for example, that this work was very much needed. Well done.

Tom Buzzard and his crew more than met our expectations! After interviewing 3 top-rated roofing companies, we decided to contract with Tom whose estimate was in the midrange of estimates. We chose him because of his years of experience, his crews' years of experience and his company's reputation for excellent work. Tom encouraged us to look at some of his previous work sites and speak with the owners. We took the time to do just that and were more encouraged. We also looked at roofs that had tile colors we were considering which helped with the decision process. While we waited for our roof to be redone, Tom quickly placed a tarp on the roof to protect a small area that had experienced a leak. His crew arrived as planned a few weeks later. They were very industrious and worked as an experienced team. They were always courteous and receptive to questions.This was a large project but they finished in less than 3 days. After the project was completed we were not only very pleased with the professional work but with the impressive cleanup the crew had accomplished. The roof gutters were cleaner than when they began and the yard looked as if they had never been there. They did an amazing job! My neighbors also commented on how impressed they were with the crews' work ethic and the quality of the work. This is an outstanding company to work with.

I had a roof installed by another roofer and it had some issues. I called Tom Buzzard because of his high rating to see if he would inspect it but he only does new roofs. However he recommended a repair roofer who turned out to be very good. He also called the shingle manufacturer and reported the poor roofing job to the local rep.

Tom Buzzard?s company did a very good job on the re-roofing of our home. I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship of the work. The work crew was very efficient, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up thoroughly after themselves as they were doing the work. There were some small issues that arouse that Tom quickly and responded to and took care of. I would highly recommend using this company to re-roof your home.

I selected two top rated roofing contractors from Angies List and received estimates from both. There was very little difference in the cost estimates but Tom provided me with a very professional proposal which included several optional approaches with cost differences for me to consider. Throughout this process Tom was extremely helpful, and patient, including providing addresses of houses where we could see several of the colors and shingle types we thought we might be interest in. After receiving the estimates, I decided to have the house painted first and Tom stood by his estimate and worked with me to insure I would be satisfied with the end result. The crew that performed the work was very professional and paid great attention to detail. When the old roof was stripped off there were some obvious problems with the original construction. Tom's people took this in stride, corrected the problems and now I have a new roof better that the original. The house looks great and I could not be happier.

Tom Buzzard Roofing was one of 4 companies interviewed for our replacement roof. After meeting with each, researching on Angie'sList and reviewing the content and pricing of each estimate, we decided on Tom. Our decision was based on the interview process, the items included and recommended in the estimate, and the fact that he personally managed his local install team. He was not the cheapest, but we felt he would better meet our expectations of the install. His estimate and accompanying materials were very professionally presented and prepared, and provided most of the information required for the initial review. His estimate included his recommendation of skylight replacement, and gave us the additional opportunity to also include skylight blinds (which we ordered outside the estimate) in the install. Our only complaint was that Tom's personal presentation during the initial interview was somewhat condescending in tone. We recognize that he is the expert, that's why he was contacted -- but that is no reason to not speak to your potential customer as grown responsible adults, able to understand the information presented. If his install estimate details had not been more compelling, we might have selected another roofer just based on this -- as it was a concern re: how we would work together. But, our primary concern was to get a good install at a reasonable price, which we felt Tom's team was the best of the companies we reviewed. The install date was set, but was delayed due to rain. Once it was re-set, the installers reported to work at the projected time and completed the project in a little more time than originally projected. Communications with Tom and his team was good during the install for any minor issues/questions that came up. The team cleaned up all the materials and the surrounding areas after installation. We are very pleased with our install and the quality of work we received. We would highly recommend this team to others, due to the professional quality of work we received.

Tom bent over backwards to be of help from the start of my project to the end. Tom was prompt for his initial appointment and brought a well thought out bid that listed the price for any and all contingencies ( example: 2 layers of shingles, replacing rotted wood, etc.), along with a very competitive bid. He explained his different products clearly and was superb in listing the features and benefits of each product. Tom even had pictures of American made roofing nails V.S. nails made in China, that demonstrated why he only used American made nails. When I could not decide on a color, Tom hand delivered a list of past client's addresses that I could drive past to help me make my decision. When I need more help with my color choice, Tom came back and left samples of every color I was interested in seeing. Tom even was great in helping me with my insurance adjuster. When I was ready to start my roofing project, Tom had his guys at my house bright and early. They took great care to cover the whole area around my house with tarp so that my landscaping would be protected from the falling debris. The job took two long days (I had two layers of shingles and other issues), and each night those guys would make sure they cleaned up the area before they left. They even went so far as to use a magnetic device to try and locate any stray nails. I was so excited by the difference my new roof made in the look of my house. I was even more excited to have been able to do business with a man, and his company, of such exceptional honesty and quality. Something I have not had much of while remodeling my home.

Tom and his crew were awesome! I contacted Tom through his website and he called me back the same day. When he came out to meet with me, he already had a sketch of the house and approximate costs for different options. We discussed my specific needs and he was more than willing to accomodate. Tom gave me a list of addresses from previous customers noting which kind/color shingle they used. That was extremely helpful when I was deciding between 2 different colors. (BTW, I went with charcoal black from CertainTeed and I love it!) We had a rain delay in the start date, but when a window of clear weather came up Tom called and let me know when they would be there. The crew showed up right on time and began work. The crew was very professional, friendly, courteous and completely cleaned up after themselves. Very much appreciated in this day and age of sloppy service. When they finished, they picked up every nail, every scrap of shingle, everything, and the yard looked like nobody had even been there.The whole project took 2 days. The roof looks fantastic! I just can't say enough about how great Tom and his crew are. I'd recommend them to anyone that is looking to replace their roof. They are an awesome team!

A tree hit my house and did minor damage to my roof. Tom sent out Pedro who evalutated the damage, and by that afternoon, two of his roofers came out and fixed my roof. No charge - which was a nice ending to a very difficult week! Thanks Tom!

The overall experience was excellent. Tom worked with me on the installation date that was best for my schedule. The roof was completed during a week when temperatures were 110 degrees so I appreciate the effort of his crew. Tom was attentive to the many questions we had about the installation process. The only negative aspect was I found a lot of nails in the yard after the fact. He sent someone out a couple of times to check for nails so I appreciate the effort. I realize that you are probably always going to find nails in the yard after a roofing job but they seemed a little excessive. I later invested in a nail magnet from Lowe's and took care of the remaining nails myself. Overall I would recommend Tom Buzzard Roofing to others.

Very professional crew. There were a number of roofers and each had specific jobs (roof; clean up, etc.) They were amazing. And I love my roof!

They did beautiful work. They did an excellent and top quality job. They weren't the cheapest but it's been well worth. We haven't had any issues. They were very good about providing names and addresses of the people they have done work for so that we can check their work before using them. They were upfront. Their prices would not be the cheapest. We got a quote as high as $11000 to fix a leak. They were by far the smallest company and most professional. They did the job in the time frame they said. Everything was perfect. We would definitely recommend them to others.

We went with somebody else. He was very knowledgeable technically. He knew a lot. He was very open with descriptions and answering questions. He talked about alternatives. I went up on the roof with him and he kind of gave me a guided tour. I'm getting ready to move but if I was staying here I would definitely have him do my roof.

This job was for replacement of a 20+ yr old roof. We'd agreed on a price for it, but when the shingles started coming off it was discovered that the majority of the plywood was rotted so also need to be replaced. This increased the price dramatically, but Tom was fair. During the roof take-off, the beam a workman was standing on gave way and his foot came through the ceiling causing a large hole in our family room. Tom arranged for a drywall contractor to come fix it and he paid for it. The contractor was there the next day and did such a good job you can't tell there was ever a hole. All in all, Tom Buzzard is an honest an fair businessman who we would strongly recommend. His workers were very professional, curteous, and neat.

A very straight forward company to deal with. These guys did what they said they would do. They showed up when they said they would. The estimate was accurate although higher than others that we recieved. They did a good job of clean up, although I did find a few nails in my yard after the job was finished. Overall I'm very happy with the work and the roof looks great. It's been several months since completion with no issues at all.

A roofing repair person recommended that we consider replacing our roof within 6-12 months, and gave us Tom Buzzard's name and contact information, saying that Tom is the only roofer he ever recommends. When we finally contacted Tom, he was prompt, courteous and professional and provided a reasonable estimate for replacing the roof of our 2,050 square foot home. When it came time for the actual work to be done, the crew was on time and worked quickly and efficiently. We were amazed that the entire project was finished in 2 days, especially since Tom insists on hand-nailing shingles, not using nail guns. Additionally, when a few months later we discovered a suspicious leak in our attic and called Tom about it, he sent two of his guys over right away. They found and repaired the issue--which had nothing to do with the roof--at no charge. Tom and his crew are the best!

Excellent job on roofing. I would not recommend Tom for exterior carpentry. The team was late each morning, stopped early, and complained about working in Cary. The quality of the work was fair.
