I cannot say enough good things about the renovation. The crew was very nice, punctual, did a great job and Nancy and Tom were very flexible and professional to deal with. Definitely will hire them in the future and recommend them. I had renovation projects in the past that were headaches and this time there were no problems. We are very happy with the results.

Tile with Style did a fantastic job on our master bath. I walked into their store not knowing where to begin. Nancy was great with her advice, but not pushy - letting me make the decisions (and revision when I changed my mind). She was spot on regarding budget and timeline, and helped me maintain my budget throughout. Tom and Ralph did a great job too. In our home, they were respectful, flexible about our schedule, and quick to respond to any questions/issues we had. Tile with Style gave us the option of getting our own plumber, granite, and shower enclosure. However, we went with their 'one-stop-shop' ability. From the estimates I received for comparison, there was no mark-up. Just proven 'sub-contractors' they work with regularly and do a good job. Overall we are extremely pleased with their work, and plan to use them for another bathroom update.

We contacted Tile with Style, told them what we needed, and made an appointment to talk to them at their showroom. We spent a couple of hours talking with Bebe, Tom, and Nancy to pick out a tile that was a perfect match for our cabinets, flooring, and countertop. We also had gotten an idea from looking at other installations to include something like a stacked stone just behind the stove to make it look like a chimney. They understood what we were looking for. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a tile in their showroom that would work. But we knew another place that might have what we were looking for (had seen it there before). They told us that it would be no problem, that they work with the other tile store all the time, and that we just needed to confirm what we wanted and let them know. We left the showroom on a mission to finalize our decisions on the tile. Once we determined what we wanted, we called them back and scheduled a time when Tom could come out, finalize the measurements, pick out a grout, and give us final estimates. The labor estimates seemed very reasonable, compared to another estimate we had gotten, so we decided to move forward. We put down a deposit for half of the job, and they proceeded to order the tile. They gave us a call early the following week, and said the tile was in, and they asked to come out the next day to do the work. They came out early the next morning, right on time, set-up for the job (put down protection for the floor, etc.), asked us a few questions about how we wanted things to look, and then they started on the work. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable about what they needed to do. They were finished by around 4 PM that day. In looking things over, we really liked how it all turned out, so we went ahead and paid them the remaining amount for the job. We got a call later that evening because they needed to come back out and seal the stacked stone. They scheduled a time for the next morning, came back out, and did the final seal work in less than 30 minutes. Again, we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Everyone with the company seems very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We will definitely consider using Tile with Style again.

We had a leak in our shower floor due to poor installation. Tile with Style completed the demo work, ie. removed all the tile in the bathroom including the floor tile and around the tub and removed the shower glass enclosure. There was water damage to the floor outside the shower. The owner replaced the damaged wood as well. The subcontractors who installed the shower enclosure and granite counter-top were very professional. The owners of Tile with Style were very pleasant to work with and listened closely to all our concerns and resolved any issues. It was convenient to work with one contractor who handled all aspects of our project. The scope of work including materials and labor estimated was almost to the penny exactly what they quoted. We would highly recommend Tile with Style for your bathroom renovation. We plan on contacted them for our kitchen renovation too. Thank you Tile with Style.

I initially hired a handyman to replace old tiles around my fireplace. He did a terrible job and the fireplace all of sudden became an eyesore. Then I found Tom on Angies. Nancy and Tom were very responsive to my request. His crew came in and redid the whole thing in one day. They are very professional. At the end of the day, it was like they were never in my house other than the fireplace looks wonderful again. Very pleased with their work and will definitely hire again.

Nancy was great and helped us pick our tile and design the layout. They did all of the demolition in one day, and this included removing the vinyl floor, tile shower, and jet tub with tile surround. The tile and rough-in inspection were completed over the next six days. The crew was good about cleaning up the mess caused by the tile installation. They were very particular about getting the layout to be just perfect. They were good about asking our opinion, explaining what they were doing, and providing recommendations during the installation. They arrived on time every day. We are pleased with our new bathroom and would recommended Tile With Style.

I called to arrange an estimate but first asked if they did work in my area (near Clayton). The person who answered first said, "No, I don't think we go that far." But, she told me that she would check with ______ and I would receive a call back. No call back. If a business can't even return a call about an estimate, I surely would not hire them to do any work.

Several line items were noticeably higher than expected compared to the prices verbally quoted in the store. The amount of tile estimated for the job was about 10% less than the other estimate we got for the job. The other, higher estimate proved to be within one tile, therefore I'm inclined to believe the Tile With Style estimate would have come up short on materials. The deciding factor was price.

Working with Tom and Nancy was a collaborative and creative affair. They have beautiful materials in their Cary shop, and then Tom performs or oversees the work personally. He was a perfectionist and everything was kept very tidy and clean as they worked.

It was a wonderful experience.

It went very well. They finished the job in a day and a half and it looks great. There was even a problem with replacing the toilet, which they quickly and competently resolved. I had another estimate that was higher in price than Tile with Style. Another "handyman" service came out and said that job couldn't even be done. Go with the pros! These folks know what they are doing. Moreover, they have a brick and mortar store in the Cary area where you can see an assortment of flooring options. At first I was annoyed that they wanted me to use the materials that they could provide from the store (vs., say, getting a bunch of boxes from Lowes or Home Depot for a cheaper price). But you get what you pay for with this stuff and we were very pleased we made the decision to go with Tile with Style. They also do more elaborate kitchen and bathroom renovations and we intend to use their services in the future.

They were fine. Their pricing was reasonable. I liked them. They were on time and professional. They came in and looked at the job, gave me a quote and that was it.

First, they had really unique and exotic tile. Second, they were from New York and they were third generation tile setters.So this guy was a New Yorker and he's good at what he does. The third thing is that they had their own showroom. Usually you buy tile from the store and they refer you to a tile setter. But this company does everything. Their customer service was great, specially Nancy.

I acted as the general contractor for the work. The only regret I had was that I did not have Tom do everything. All of the work turned out great, but the one problem I had was that I used a different contractor for the granite and shower. The issue was that the granite and shower measuring and templates resulted in a delay of two weeks for the company to complete fabrication. The tile work could only proceed so far because the counters had to be installed to finish it properly. I did not have any leverage with the company I hired, to speed up the work. If I had used Tom's guy, the delay would have been minimal. As soon as the granite and shower glass were in, Tom and crew were back to finish everything promptly. Total time for the project would have been 2 and a half weeks instead of 4 and a half. Tom's crew were all skilled and professional. They cleaned up well every night both inside and out and showed up for work when they promised. Everyone was accommodating of my requests for a number of small changes and they all had suggestions to make the finished product better. Tom had no problem with me picking out and purchasing the different fixtures used in the project which made me happy because everything was purchased online with no tax or shipping charges. I would not hesitate to use Tile With Style again for any project that involves tiling. Very highly recommended.

At first I thought I was going to have trouble because I thought we had a communications problem. My biggest concern was to keep liquids off the Pressboard. They seemed to be more concerned about making it "nice". Making it nice was certainly not a problem but I wanted the emphases on containment. I had 2 estimate and neither mentioned water containment. In our initial conversation I thought I made it clear a boarder was required. When I was told the beveled tile pieces (or bullnose pieces) were very expensive I said never mind, they thought I didn't want the boarder. I will take some of the blame here. Only the last estimate mentioned a boarder. I presumed that if it wasn't in the estimate I wouldn't get what I required. They called me the day before to tell me the approximant time they would come to my house and also called again when they were on their way. Good heads-up. When they arrived they told me exactly what they intended to do, which was exactly what I wanted done. They came in thru the back door and spread tarps down between the door and the sink. The lead technician then left and the other finished in about 4 hours. All were courteous and professional. Very happy with the results. And as in the estimate it looked nice, in fact it looked great! Couldn't be more pleased.

After finding Tile With Style on Angie's List, I called to discuss options and then visited their showroom in Apex. Tom and Nancy, the husband and wife owners, met with me to discuss the various options, let me take home samples to consider, and then helped me design the layout of the tiles, matching border tiles, etc. Once I gave the green light, I paid about one-half down so they could order materials. They made sure I had both their cell phone numbers and told me to call anytime with any questions. Once the materials arrived a couple weeks later, they called to schedule the installation. The installation took about 8 business days, which I found to be very reasonable given the scope of work. They were careful to cover the furniture in adjacent rooms as well as the vanity in the bathroom with plastic, which was removed promptly after the work was completed. They laid down floor cloth from the front door to the bathroom to protect my carpet, and removed it each day after working. They sub-contracted with expert plumbers and glass installers, coordinated their work, and allowed me to pay Tile With Style directly for all services. They waited until all work had been completed before sending the final bill--including the glass wall and door installation, which took about another 10 days after the tile was complete, so the glass could be custom cut and installed. I am extremely happy with my new bathroom and am glad I chose this company. Tile With Style is an excellent, family-owned, local business that provides high quality, professional service.

called them on 1/21/13. Spoke to lady and described what was needed. She promised to call next day. She never called so I called her . She laughed and said "she forgot to call". Then she said she could not do the job for three months. I informed her she should have called back as she promised.

Went smooth from start to finish.

Tom and Nancy were great to work with. They helped us pick our countertops and backsplash tile. They removed an old built-in desk and replaced it with new cabinets and a built-in wine cooler (including adding an additional electrical outlet for the cooler). We had old laminate countertops replaced with granite and the installers did a great job. Nancy and Tom worked around our schedule to have our new tile backsplash installed before the holidays. Everyone at Tile with Style was great. They were extremely helpful every step of the way and were very flexible in scheduling the work when it was convenient for us. The countertops and backsplash are beautiful and our kitchen looks great! We can't wait to have Tile with Style remodel our master bath. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Our experience with Tile with Style was very pleasant overall. All of the people that we dealt with from start to finish were all very professional, friendly, had great work ethic, honest, and did very good work. They came out when they said they would. They were very good about communicating with us each step of the way. The plumber even came out on Saturday to finish up a job so that we could use our sinks over the weekend instead of waiting till Monday. The faucets that we ordered needed a longer thread and he was able to find one on a Friday and installed on a Saturday morning; he normally doesn't work on Saturdays. We appreciated that. The workers were very courteous, consciencious, and cleaned up. The best thing is that our bathroom is fabulous now, exactly what we wanted. I would definitely use Tile with Style again and highly recommend them.

The main focus of the work was to replace a shower enclosure and recaulk the bathrooms. Tile with Style contracted out the shower enclosure replacement to a local glass company who did an excellent job. The problem was with the work actually performed by Tile with Style. The rest of this review focuses on the work performed by Tile with Style and not the glass company they hired. The first problem was in scheduling. After hearing nothing from the company for a long time about scheduling the work, they then left me a message late one afternoon saying they would like to do the work the next morning. If felt like either a complete lack of planning on the company's part, or a lack of respect for their customers, or both. This pattern continued throughout the relationship. I would hear nothing for for a couple weeks, and then receive a call late in the day saying they would like to do the work the next day. The next issue is timeliness. Let me stress that Tom, the co-owner of Tile with Style, is a very nice guy. But he is a poor time manager. He typically showed up two to three hours late for every appointment. The next issue was on the quality of the work. After carefully looking at the caulk color charts, Tom chose a color for the caulk. After recaulking the entire master bathroom, I have to say that the color could not have been more wrong. It looked unbelievably awful. Although Tom admitted that it looked terrible and agreed to redo the work, the relationship was strained from that point on. It was clear in every communication that he viewed this job as a money loser and one that needed to be finished with the least effort possible. There were several further mistakes in the work. Also, the billing was incorrect and had to be redone. Again, I want to reiterate that Tom is a nice guy. In my case, however, Tile with Style did not seem to be a very well run business.

We visited the store and were helped in selecting tiles to be used in our kitchen back-splash. We were shown many styles and combinations that would have been fine, but ended up with exactly what we wanted with the help of the owner. She came to our home to take measurements and brought samples of the selected tiles to confirm our choices. We decided on the pattern a placement of decorative pieces to be used. The work was scheduled and the crew was punctual, worked steadily on our project, made adjustments where necessary, finished on time and did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. We are extremely pleased and will definitely use them in the future on any like projects. I highly recommend this company to anyone with any tile project.

I previously wrote a review on this company stating that we experienced many problems. I have since learned that a great deal of the problems were due to the subcontractor who actually installed the cabinets. We have had further dealings with the cabinet installer and have had the very same problems, so obviously he was the common denominator. I believe that with a new installer (and apparently the installer was replaced right after our dealings), customers would have a MUCH more pleasant experience with Tile with Style. My experience was out of the norm, I believe.

But the most important part of this review pertains to what went wrong and how Nancy and Tom responded. Our grout color did not conform to our selection. Tile With Style owners, Tom and Nancy Zafaresse, went to work, helping us get a repair from the grout company. They treated us with respect and went to bat for us. There was never any doubt that they would be in our corner; that they would be there to help us; that they wanted us to be completely satisfied. The repair added a few weeks to the renovation, but it added immeasurably to our satisfaction with the outcome. Bottom Line: Satisfaction with a company's work to fulfill contractual expectations should be the norm; going above and beyond contractual expectations is the mark of an "exceptional" company. And Tile With Style is "EXCEPTIONAL".
