Norm's guys Victor, Hector, and others that I wish I could recall their names worked SOOOO h****** my home. My home is 14 years old and is not a MC mansion. It needed alot of work on the walls, new moldings etc. We gutted out the bottom of our house, starting with the ceilings. Victor and the guys spent 3 days removing the popcorn and a majority of that time was spent on repair the excessive damage in my kitchen from the previous inhabitants layers of popcorn that had been painted ( which came off in postage size chunks). The came back 2 weeks later after installation of molding and cabinets had been done. They were here 8am and stayed until 7pm for almost a week, not even leaving to eat, so that they could get the job done on time. The work Sat and Sunday as well. The attention to detail was unbelievable, They constantly checked and rechecked the job as they went to make sure there were no divets, cracks etc..They knew what needed an oil based primer, and what needed latex, made suggestions if they thought it could be done another way. Since I didn't have kitchen, they even had one of their wives bring me lunch one day. I really can not say enough about this painting crew. I have never met a harder working crew.
Description of Work: Popcorn Ceiling removal, sheet rock repair for ceiling, caulking and priming all new molding in house, painting 6 rooms, Painting unfinished installed book cases and cabinets.

Norm came out the same day I called to give the estimate. The wood work was done a week ahead of the painting. The painting crew was a subcontractor he says he uses a lot. They were very nice and polite. They finished a day ahead of schedule.
Description of Work: He replaced several areas of rotted wood siding with hardy plank. He replaced several areas of wood trim around the windows with PVC. He powerwashed, caulked the exterior with 52 year caulk, and painted the exterior. Sherwin Williams paint was used. Total was $3800 For reference, our home is brickfront (so only 3 sides needed painted). Trim on front was repaired and painted. Our home is 2900 sq ft.

The company agreed to repair some badly needed wood rot on two corners and around some windows. During the estimate, Norm noticed some other possible rot. We discussed roof and gutter replacement in the next few years. He was honest and said they could repair spots on the roof but "that would be like putting a bandaid on a broken leg". He also said we did not need new gutters because they were not leaking, it was the roof that was leaking. We agreed to replace the roof with the understanding that the estimate was just that depending on how much plywood they would need to replace. They started work within the week. Powerwashing first, then the painters scraped and painted all outside trim. I forgot to take the screens off the windows and they helped with that. Also, I did not realize that the outside trim was to include our screened in porch and I had not cleaned that off. The employees moved everything out to the deck for us, covered with plastic for rain and paint protection. Roofers and painters alike were all here for 3 days with Norm stopping by at least once every day to check on the progress and give me an update. When the job was finished, Norm came by to inspect and told me the painters would be back the next day for touchup. They also replaced the screens and put the furniture back in the porch! The employees were all professional and well-mannered and VERY hard working. One day it poured for at least a half hour and they kept on covering our roof with shingles (luckily no lightning). They also left the yard almost exactly the way they found it.
Description of Work: Badly needed wood rot replaced, a new roof & all the trim on the outside powerwashed, scraped, painted and then the windows themselves scraped of excess paint.

It went much better than we expected. The worker that brought the wall down was able to determine that the wall was not load bearing, as we had been told by others that gave us estimates. We had two workers doing the job. Both were very courteous and professional and tried very hard to keep dust to a minimum. Worker, named Matthew , made sure that we were satisfied and tried to keep area as clean of debris as possible. When they were finished, all materials they used were removed and taken away from inside/outside of house.
Description of Work: Brought down wall between kitchen and dining areas, had to build floor threshhold to bring two floors together, move lighting fixture in dining area, sheet rock hang and finish, rebuilt doorway from dining to foyer.

Two other bidders wanted to sell me new gutters and gutter guards, but Norm Reilly told me the gutters were fine, and he proposed to just replace the surrounding wood, and then secure them so that water no longer leaked between the edge of the roof and gutter. I was impressed that he didn't try to sell us something that we didn't need, and his price, too, was lower. The workers -- I believe they were Norm Reilly's sons -- arrived on time and performed the job quickly and ably, cleaning up everything afterward. They were pleasant and approachable.
Description of Work: Norm Reilly's crew replaced the rotten wood behind our roof gutters, and the railing on our front steps. Water had been running behind the gutter like a waterfall. The crew removed the rotten wood, replaced it with new, painted wood that blended with the existing material, and they secured the gutters to it.

He did a good job. There was good communication with him, and his work was just fine. There were a few areas we had to touch up, but he was friendly. The first time he did the work himself and it was better than when he had two associates doing the work. Overall, however, we were happy with his work and would consider using him again.

Very well. We're pleased with the work and with the people who did it.
Description of Work: Basically, Norm & Co. fixed the wood trim and replaced the rotten wood & exterior boards of our home, plus powerwahsed & painted the house and fixed some other trouble spots. They were responsive, clean, professional and did the work quicklky. We got a lot of comments from our neighbors about the work they did and how the house looked, and also on the workers being quick, so we were able to recommend Reilly's with no second thoughts. Worked with them before and will work with them again.

Excellent. A bird had made a hole in the cedar siding of our house. I called a few other names on Angie's List and they all seemed reasonable. We were getting ready to head out of town for the holidays so we were wanting a quick turn around. When I talked to Norm he said he would be able to come out the next day. So out they came, on time, and had the old board out and replaced in just a few hours.

Overall, we were pleased with the care that went into the work and, what we felt, was a wish by company management that we were satisfied with the outcome. We were kept informed and clean up was acceptable.
Description of Work: Repaired chimney rot and damage which involved replacement of siding and corner board and painting, replacement of one rotten fascia piece and painting, re-screened porch and replaced screen door and all touch up painting required, weatherstripping replaced at back and front door, replaced short piece of rusted gutter, cleaned out all second story gutters and flushed front gutter downspout.

This is an excellent company. I called on a Monday morning and the owner was very clear about the price he'd charge and when his next appointment was. He said his crew would show up about lunch time on Wednesday, which I expected to be the later part because of experience with other repair services. They showed up at 10:30 exactly and gave a very professional introduction of themselves. They replaced the broken piece of siding in no time and did a great job.

Mr. Reilly was very prompt in coming out to give us an estimate. When we were ready to commence work, he quickly fit us into their schedule the following week. The two men that did the work in and around our home were very professional - they knew what they were doing and worked swiftly and quietly. They were extremely respectful of my home, and a sleeping baby. They went above and beyond...when they discovered a few more siding boards that needed replacing, they went ahead and made the repairs at no extra charge. I always felt like I was dealing with skilled professionals, and never once felt like I was getting the wool pulled over my eyes. They were upfront and fair in their pricing and their work. Would definitely hire them again!
Description of Work: Replaced rotten siding, fixed kitchen drawer, fixed broken closet door, improved drainage around house foundation, replaced back door jam.
Excellent job. Good choice of materials, found promptly. Estimate, job start and finish all prompt and on time. My only complaint is he could have cleaned up better after the job, i.e. vacuum interior work site.

I had a termite company eradicate the termites prior to this job. I bought the door unit and stained and polyurethaned it myself. I brought the contractor in to install the door unit and repair the damage to the pillar between the garage doors. They did a great job from start to finish. They provided a reasonable estimate for the work and made it clear what they would do. They had to jack up the garage door frame before repairing the pillar. They used composite and treated wood to help prevent a return of termites. They ripped out the old front door unit and replaced it with the new one. Made sure it was square and were meticulous with installing the door in the frame. They cleaned up everything when they were done. The crew was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'd be happy for them to work for me again.

WE GAVE A $750 ESTIMATE TO THE CUSTOMER WEEKS BEFORE DOING THE WORK. IF THE PRICE WAS UNACCEPTABLE HE SHOULD HAVE HIRED SOMEONE ELSE. THE MEMBER'S CRAWLSPACE IS VERY OLD, DIRTY AND NOT MUCH ROOM TO CRAWL BETWEEN THE GROUND AND THE FLOOR. WE REPAIRED THE ROTTED FLOOR AND SUPPORT JOISTS. WE ALSO REPAIRED AND PAINTED THE ROTTED SUPPORT FOR THE CAR PORT. FINALLY, WE CRAWLED IN THE ATTIC TO REPAIR A LEAK IN THE EXHAUST PIPE. I CHARGED MATERIAL AND $300 PER PERSON FOR A DAY'S WORK. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS WAS TOO EXPENSIVE! I AM SORRY THE MEMBER HAD A DIFFERENT OPINION.
